I missed out on the first Offerman Edition, but bought the Offerman Edition Guinness Cask and it was amazing. So amazing that I immediately went out and bought two more bottles. And then another. Can't find anymore but at least I have a few backups. And now a new Offerman Edition! Keep them coming!

Nick, I just read a book called Benchley (by Preston). I sipped on Lagavulin each night while reading and by the end I was certain that you should play the captain of the boat if it's ever made into a movie. Perfect role for you as you get the best one liners and can be buzzed most of the time.
I have yet to order this. I've gotten several of the last one. prob about 10 bottles so far this year. I cant wait to try the new one!

@@TasmaniaIsAHole The whole parks and Recreation thing with Ron Swanson worked with Ron/Nicks understated character. It worked well and was a cool wee part of the whisky. This is just awful. Part of what makes Whisky like Lagavulin special is its unique character and charm. This stuff is just cringey and way too Bud Light. Shame.

It's a cut and dry case that Diageo is trying to replace the 16 with the 11 and make the 16 more expensive. I have zero respect for Diageo for buying up legacy brands and ruining them with e150a and chill filtration. Why in the flying f{}ck would anyone love to see fake color and naturally occurring fats striped from from their expensive whiskey. Honestly I don't believe people would be turned off by inconsistent colors nor better yet even notice.

MSRP is $79.99, and I've seen it locally from $79.99-$94.99. I'd say that's fair in comparison to the many NAS (No Age Statement) limited releases coming out from other distilleries for $100+.
I managed to pick a bottle up directly from Diageos website for £65, thanks to a £5 off voucher. I'm not going to grumble at that. It's pretty much the same price as the previous Offerman editions.
I am not buying BECAUSE of this!

@@TasmaniaIsAHole A distillery tucked away on a beautiful secluded Island of the west coast, Dunnyvaig Castle about it and looking out over the coast. You couldn't imagine a more beautiful place. The whisky matches. So much appeal because of its character already but this bud light style superbowl crap is just an insult.

I love Nick Offerman to death but none of this hides the fact that it’s a diageo product, meaning it’s chill filtered and has added color. Buy better whiskey.
Diageo's whisky is good enough in my opinion but please tell me a better one to taste.

I would not buy this. Because of the commercial. You want my business? Get five men, off the street, working men. A contractor, firefighter, plumber, mechanic, and an office grunt. Put it in front of them, let them drink, have a conversation, then ask them how it was. That'll do.
