Personally, if in a Coffeeshop setting, Steak would be Medium, on a Dinner Plate and sauce by the side. I prefer to only taste the meat. And only use the sauce as an after thought.

Dk where u stay but if u stay near jurong east theres a grill called eden's grill which serve pretty decent pork chop, if not can go yishun market one of the western food stores also nt bad. Most importantly, always get the sizzling grill ones.

If I ever order steak on hotplate I ask for rare since it continues to cook when they take it out! Especially if you're shooting b-rolls etc before eating XD
Coleslaw with shredded onion + spring onion taste are the best! I don't want to mention names, but the worst steak I've ever had.. had a burnt rubbery taste.. and it has the exact aroma of a motorcycle performing a "donut". I hope no one ever had to taste that. 😅 I was hoping for an episode of Fried Chicken Wings, perhaps a Spring chicken+Chicken wing.. 😄
At least u guys didn't order hot plate + well done steak. If not by the time u all find a seat, it becomes a "congratulations" steak. Also, next episode should do spring chicken and feature chicken supremo again.
7:17 @thambellina do you know why it feels over cooked? Normally chef will let the steak rest for like 10 min to let the heat finish cooking the steak. But when it is on a hot plate.... it will continue cooking and the steak won't be medium raw anymore. The hotplate is over rated don't eat steak on hot plate.
steaks on hotplate would actually up the doneness! i rmb from working in a cafe that once the steak finish cooking, even if u bring it out of the pan to rest it before plating it, the heat from the steak will cook itself even more.
Pls try teriyaki chicken bento set. My memory is just filled with yucky tasting pseudo Japanese watery mayo weird cabbage strands type of teriyaki chicken at foodcourts. 🥲

to be honest, i've never eaten a medium rare steak in coffeeshops, even when i've asked for medium rare... it always comes out medium or well done...
