I have learned over the years to just enjoy the hunt. While elk hunting was something I always wanted to do, I only recently have been able to go. Tag soup for 2 years due to illnesses for different members of the hunting parties, I still have great memories and fully enjoyed the hunts. Can't wait for this year. Third time is the charm!
Great story Corey. I'm disappointed that I didn't draw a tag this year, but my buddy did and I'm gonna take your advice and savor the experience of helping him kill his bull.
