- Below Deck's Jess finds herself not fitting in on the yacht. Throughout her first few charters, Heather and Fraser begin to grow frustrated with her lack of effort and attitude.
After being reprimanded the night before, Jess decides to quit her job as she starts her shift and leaves immediately without saying goodbye to her fellow crew.

I felt such relief for her when she left! Totally within her right to do so and it serves Heather and Fraser right that they had to stress and scramble around afterwards. Heather was rude and a bad manager, and it was gross how Fraser kept running to her about Jess's mood and how she's always miserable. I can't stand people talking shit about their colleagues to the superior. Fair enough if it's about tasks not being completed, but this was just bullying and Fraser trying to make himself look better.
How much was done for Bravo's production value?
Considering she had to put up with Heather I kinda don't blame her. You always have to put yourself and your body first.
Yeah I never really liked Heather to be honest and that comment she made when Jess walked off was so rude. I understand she was upset but the way she was always so rude to her pissed me off.

Good for her actually, she doesn't owe them shit in my opinion. Especially for some scripted reality tv show. Again just my opinion.
Minus reality tv.. idk, a job is a job but your mental wellbeing is another. They can find somebody else. Good conduct or not life moves on. You dont ALWAYS owe somebody an explanation at the end of the day.

This is why you should actually have smart ppl working for you most of the time these fandoms who wasn’t built for anything get into a higher position of power and run with it instead of knowing your job,social skills that come along with it and a lot of common sense
Heather should have made her speak to the Captain before departure.

there's one funny thing. others have mentioned it but I was on housekeeping and facilities teams for 4 diamond rated resorts and I know when things are left it usually is due to bad managment delegation. Heather here would be in hell if I was on the boat with her.

Let me tell you what stress and drama will make you physically ill. Especially if you have any autoimmune diseases. I have over five and I don’t put up with peoples bullshit. You have people telling her she’s doing a great job and then all of a sudden oh no, you’re doing a lousy job I would walk the fuck out to.

No, Ive seen all the seasons and that's only happened a few times. To the new stews who are decent.
All the other times stews quit, the new ones were lazy and needed to leave.

I had a staff member who said she could only work 4 days a week bc her body was not allowing her to do the 5 days a week that her (executive!) position, and 6 figure salary, and contract, required! It was SO ridiculous I still don't know what to say!!
I mean that is a completely different position and they were honest with you. So move on.
Fraser and heather both bullied her out. Had they not constantly double teamed her with negative criticism she probably would’ve stuck it out and done well.

I know 100% that this is a scripted "reality" show. I also have no problem admitting that I enjoy watching it. However, I would like to know where they find some of these basket/drama cases that are put into leadership roles on these super yachts?? I mean you have some real meatheads on deck and some of the most pretentious, high maintenance, prima donna interior staff I have ever seen. To top it off you have Captain "Grumpy Pants" Lee who does nothing but complain and badger his crews over the most minute details. Mind you he does this from his big soft Captains chair and rarely gets in there with the crew and works. All that said, I get that this is a show and is for entertainment but I would NEVER even think about working with some of the folks they have had on.

Honestly it’s hard to be the new person on the boat , but sometimes if you want to succeed you just have to take your lumps and keep your head down . I think it shows a real lack of maturity to quit after less than two weeks. I totally get if its a physical or mental issue , but she obviously wasn’t too broken up about it. I think she could’ve at least stayed for the next charter .
Just say your done. When you see people talking about you. It’s annoying and awkward.

OK here’s the thing, First of all wearing a T,shirt saying I’m here for the Boobs would have been a NO NO on my vessel, Number 2 , I would not have let Her leave i would have Sat everyone down and given them a Ultimatum to treat each other with respect and if you can’t do that Leave now. 3.The Gay Chap i would sack as He’s two faced and brings people into arguments causing Crew problems that a Ship does not need. 4, As a group sit down give everyone their Rolls and responsibilities in front of every Crew member so that there is NO Argument as to who does what, And give the Chef a choice of Who will be Head Waiter during Service that way that person can call the shots as to who does what at service… Personally this Captain doesn’t have a clue as to how to control and organise Crew members and their responsibilities……

The shirts were made by the primaries wife qnd given to the crew and other charter members if memory serves me correctly. I know indefinitely the shirts were given to Heather and others because the guests were celebrating something with the anniversary of the primary being in remission from him surviving breast cancer.
And honestly Fraser is actually really sweet seeming. Jess was being REALLY negative and not doing anything. She honestly should’ve probably just gone home when she got the news of her grandparent getting sick instead of having this very negative aura and a severe case of RBF lol around her all the while half a$$ing work. I definitely could see and understand how Fraser, Heather and even Rachel felt like they were carrying extra weight because Jess looked, acted, worked, and even smiled like she wanted to go be with family and regretted taking the job on a bigger boat lol.

Now that you say it, Fraiser does seem to be the cause of q lot of drama. Also, he is 2 faced, I'm surprised Capt Sandy didn't fire him along with Alissa.
