One of the simplest and fastest ways to reduce all types of protozoa, as well as flukes and lice that are parasitic on saltwater fishes is to give them a quick freshwater dip or bath. This method of hyposalinity is very effective, takes little time to prepare, and is strongly recommended as the first step in treating diseased fish prior to placing them into quarantine for long-term treatment with the proper medication for what ails them. This is not 100%. You need a bait pool to quarantine before feeding.
Man you have one of the best if not the best tank I ever seen! No sand like the ocean, and a whole lot of lil creatures of the sea ! Do you have a octopus 🐙
I love the way you individually feed your pets and they immediately know who goes to for food! Think your fishes love you alot! Thank you for sharing. My new fav channel (btw before it's all to do with cooking fishes from different cultures) love your yellow eel, so cute 😍
Are u concerned about the possibility of the bait fish having parasites? Or are they quarantined before hand? Love your passion in your life and showing what a lot of us would love to do!
Wow way to risk all the safety and health of your fish for a youtube video! Great job bud your a great fishkeeper. Without quarantining live food its extremely risky
Please do this again! Next time get a giant school of baitfish and do a quarantine and then add the entire school and watch how the predatory fish hunt with each other to get their fill from a large school
You are near the solution for oceans fish farms. The onli way is start with algae and calculate the year amount for feeding others production. Since no algae production system exist no farms will succed
As if that tank in the garage wasnt enough .. You have a backyard pond too!! XDXD.. Thats gotta be a SHIT load of upkeep!! Does this guy live in florida? Was he impacted by the hurricane??
You should get a small school of mullet to eat some of the plants and maybe the fish might eat some but I think it would be cool seeing a school of mullet
If the mullet can survive in the saltwater 6K tank, why not dump a couple dozen extras in there? Is there a limit on your mullet catch? Also, can you eat mullet yourself or are they just bait for a fish you want to eat?
everytime i feed the fish "ohhhhhhhhhhh" tomorrow i feed the fish "ohhhhhhhhhohhhohohhhhhoooo' 'ohhhhhhhhhhhhhoohohohohhohohohohohohohohohohhohhjohohohhohohohohohohohoho'
Make the most of the mullet run, stick a shoal of several hundred into quarantine, you’ll have them as bait for weeks after the run has ended.. happy fish lol..
Good content man. I would say you are for sure a natural at RUclips. Some people just try to hard. You an Paul seem to just be yourselves and I think that is why y’all are successful.
Just curious why you wouldn't catch a whole bunch, and just leave them in the pool pond to get munched on. Seems like easy meals for them.
Then there'll be no content for them 😆😆
Circle of life buddy if you leave some behind you get to fish for more coz fish reproduce
These caught fish can carry parasites as well, just better to be safe than sorry, still super fun
More worried about if he infects his fish with the wild ones
@@shotzbychris5739 there’s no way Nick worries about this, he doesn’t care about the well being of his fish at all. It’s all about views
Wow. Alot of action. Nice
All the way from England 🇬🇧 👏

He’s definitely HAD a quarantine pond so he knows he should do this. I think he gets bored and risks it
No bored he just cares more about a youtube video than his fishes health....

This is awesome 👍. Would cost a fortune to have a setup like that though.
nice video

putting the salt water fish in fresh water for a few minutes shocks and kills any parasites that may live in the fish. chill.
@@ATVOffroadFurry external parasites maybe. But ive never seen a wild fish that doesnt havw worms. All those fish are done for
@@IsaacDS123 Well the internal ones might get damaged since fish push water in their mouths the through their gills.
@@Yourlocalhumbug doesnt work that way lmao. You guys keep cheering for a dude that does not care
hi can i ask what size your out side pond please thanks
Mantap joosss😃😃
Moo-let! 😄
Woow👍
damn that was hella fish
Nice guys

Giving your fish wild food full of diseases then wondering why they catch diseases. Fresh water dips does not cure diseases😂
Don’t worry he is an “expert” 😂
The mistreatment of animals this guy shows is disgusting. All in the name of more clicks and views
It does tho it stubs the parasites off of them
@@patnieto4769 not the internal parasites
@@patnieto4769 it can get flukes to fall off sometimes. It’s no cure.
I definitely want these videos again
Wich cast net do you use
How big is your castnet?

Smoked mullet 👌🏻
That’s a pretty good size round tank, but generally mullet are a spooky fish and bruise their face up pretty bad hitting the sides
Mullet are small fish and there isn’t much meat on them but you can eat them if you want to.
@@skillethead15 i think hes more aiming at the legalities bro.
You should just catch hundreds and then breed them for food
Your saltwater pond impresses me every time.. you take such good care of it...bless
What?? He takes awful care of his fish, why do you think they all die so often?
@benny gambla why you salty bruh. Nick should put you in his pond to help with the salt levels
Why do you keep lion fish?
u dropped one in the sea 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅
How are you feeding you sharks?🤔
Nick, can you please go over your saltwater pond filtration? If you have already, I’ll search for it.
The fact he caught fish in Yeezy slides a legend
I hate people just emptying their nets onto sand when they don't intend to keep all the fish
Moby from the Bamabass channel has nothing on these guys eating the mullet
What's that old saying? Out of the pot and into the frying pan?
Waar is de riven iel
