Every year as we enter the Christmas season, as a member of my Catholic church volunteer choir, I watch your video multiple times to remind myself of what the alto parts sound like. Thank you for being such an excellent, virtual instructor.
You have a very beautiful voice. You sang this with great grace and depth. Thank you! I am a tenor myself and i particularly love this important carol. I am an Anglican Priest serving in France, this is very helpful! Season's Greetings from a very chilly France!
This is so so great!!! We have been practicing this for 2 days and my kids already have their parts down. I love the way you did this video for learning and practicing parts
O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here, Until the Son of God appear. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free Thine own from Satan's tyranny; From depths of hell Thy people save, And give them victory o'er the grave. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high, And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh; Disperse the gloomy clouds of night, And death's dark shadows put to flight. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Thou Key of David, come And open wide our heav'nly home; Make safe the way that leads on high, And close the path to misery. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Adonai, Lord of might, Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height, In ancient times didst give the law In cloud and majesty and awe. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.
Thank you Rachel. I love your videos and they are so helpful. Does the website for Omaha Havens still exist? I found Omaha Haven Blog but no tab for choir. Is there somewhere to get the sheet music?
So I've learned my lesson since then and try to use music that is not obscure and hard to find! Here is the link to the music but it's not great quality. Hopefully it's good enough to read the notes! drive.google.com/file/d/14X6GAQO7abHW6VzPgI9igsGMxkNp8PPx/view?usp=sharing

It IS a Gregorian chant. 👍 It’s in my _Parish Chant Book_, in the Advent section. Except, no harmony in it; just the melody.
What key is this in?
Can I get the staff for it?
