You have to cover as musch space as possible with deep absorbing and after play with diffusion to bring back some “Live” to the room! You know what a 50-60 hz wavelength has? The bass in that soom is going to be a mess!
Looks amazing man! I’d love to see a video about your issues with RME. I had some issues myself- feels so strange seeing RME and “driver problems” in the same sentence :)
On Windows RME was solid as a rock, never had any issues. After switching to macOS things aren’t as smooth 🫤. Right now random glitching / dropouts / audio going in-out of sync. I’ve changed cables, tried all the drivers / firmwares without any luck. My guess is that both RME and Apple split the fault here. I’ll try and make a video on what happens on my end. Cheers
@@2probeats similar situation here! Are you using the kernel drivers or the DriverKit? For me I found that one of the reasons for the click /dropouts was when the system audio was assigned to RME. I am now using another audio interface (a super affordable Steinberg IXO) for all my MacOS system sounds and the RME UFXIII has been behaving. Maybe something to check out. But I totally agree, RME should figure it out in conjunction with Apple. I have around 10 audio interfaces here and all the other ones never give me those issues. Enjoy your new studio man! Cheers, Dom
@@2probeats same here- RME has been the pinnacle for drivers (I've had an RME since the Multiface days) but I think they're still trying to figure out the situation with MacOS.
Damn....2 you came along way.... Now u here...... really really inspiring......!!! Yea bigger speakers a needed for room 4 sure!!! But all & all Proud of u ....Keep going man 2 ProBeats to the world.
I like the progress! And I'm keen to see what monitors you move to next. One point on the acoustics, you mention you went with thinner panels to retain some liveliness in the room, but typically "liveliness" is in the high end and even thin panels absorb high frequencies, and going thicker will only absorb more into the mids and low frequencies. Most rooms suffer from low frequency build up which is harder to treat. High frequencies are easy to treat. Saying all that, if you like the sound of the room and it already has a good response then ignore all that.
This is a great comment! My tought process was that I can always add more pannels on top if the room needs that. Also the Trinnov Nova is doing a great job “fixing” the room.
@@2probeats I’ve got a Trinnov on the way, which should be here after the Easter break. So I’m looking forward to your video on that too. And yes, if you built the panels yourself, you could always add more layers to deepen their response (6-8inches will start to hit the bass). If you did find you want more liveliness back then you would add some diffusion slats on the front of a few.
6:57 you should really check out the ATC SCS70 subwoofer. I got it pared with my SCM25a and the bass is incredible now. It goes down really low too, it's quite a big box.
I would change the table (listening position). E.g. Calculate 38% of the length of your room (example: 5 meters × 0.38 = 1.9 meters). It’s just my opinion
The position right now it’s not final - even the speakers have some differences in placement. I just wanted to have things set up and after everything is done I want to place the desk, the speakers and tweak the listening position.
Could you pleasse advise me on how you like the Ferrorfish.. I am thinking about buying the Ferrofish Pulse 16 MX to go with my RME UFX III. Are the converters good in the Pulse 16? Please advise I am wanting to get it soon or should I go another direction?

Depends on your budget. The Pulse 16 - best bang for the buck but you can do better for more $.

Why don’t you get a subwoofer to go with the ATC’s. Does that cause problems for mixing and mastering
It’s a bit more difficult to control the room when you add subs but that’s an option too.

nice build...👍
did u sold ur manley massive passive ?
Yes, replacing it with the new @wesaudio ngtubeeq

What are your thoughts about a reflective floor like hard wood versus carpet?
First time I’ve heard anyone mention RME driver issues
I’ve been having issues for some time now. RME says Apple is at fault. 🫤

Which Eve Audio Monitor you going to buy??

Why are you so quick leaving strange comments without knowing what’s going on? 😂
You should remove the Heater next to wall, its the worst thing for the sound, specially the lo end
And die? 😂 sorry for the joke but the I need heating in the studio. On that wall, with the windows, I plan to add some acoustic curtains. Cheers
