How To Make a Wall Punching Bag with Suction Cups

  • Want a wall punching bag that you can put up and remove easily? You can make one using two double-end suction cups (amzn.to/3bkBQN1), a section of foam and a plywood board for the backing. Get the foam from a local foam store from their off-cuts. Use softer foam for a softer bag and more dense foam for a harder bag. I used fairly hard foam for a nice firm feel. If buying online, I'd recommend high density foam that is 4" thick and at least 24" x 24" in size to have enough for this project. Here's a link to one like that on Amazon: amzn.to/2MdXPuw Also get a set of 4 M35 pipe saddles to attach the suction cups to the board (amzn.to/2Lu9Ziw).

    Love the use of the white board. May i suggest, including measurements on your diagram as well as maybe a tool/ material list on the side. You are a great diy channel and just think adding those ideas might make it easier for us as viewers and increase your popularity. Just some ideas mate. Great video btw! Or you can use a car tyre instead of foam. Used ones are pretty cheap and you can even get them free at some places. Looks better than duct tape too imo. Just cut them in half and fix it to your board. Great feedback from rubber

    Can you tell us more about the foam that you chose to use, and how/why you chose it?
    I have some real leather Thai pads with some sentimental value-- they're close to 30 years old and the old yellow foam is creating dust clouds.
    I'd love some advice, for a starting point, as to how to restore these pads! Could you find the time?

    • @Kewlus
      @Kewlus  Год назад +1

      I got these pieces from a specialty foam store. You should be able to find a foam shop in your local area - they usually have cut off pieces that they sell cheaply. Test the foam for how firm it is to match the firmness that you want in the pads. Then it's just opening them up and replacing the foam. Not sure how, but you might be able to get help from the foam shop as they deal with foam upgrades for most things.

    • @TreyYork1
      @TreyYork1 Год назад +1

      @@Kewlus Thanks! I appreciate it! I I guess I was expecting to need to understand or "speak" materials science/engineering to deal with the foam folks like one might need to do for functional weapons.
      I can unlace the pads, clean the leather, and replace the foam... I guess I was just imagining needing to be able to answer more questions, learn more lingo, and waste more time as the price of admission to deal with them! Thanks making yourself available and letting me know
