Overall, on a rare occasion, the Power Rangers adaptation is more superior than it's Sentai counterpart for this season. PR:SPD had better effects, plot and backstory, especially how the core team were chosen and the history between Cruger and it's big bad. Including the realistic look of Cruger done in SPD is miles better than from Dekaranger. Characters from both versions are equally done right, but Jack & Sky's rivalry early on was better handled than Ban and Hoji. Only characters I really enjoyed from Dekaranger were Umeko and Jasmine.

The Tokkyou plot is hence better

Okay, I've been a big fan of Super Sentai since 2012, after I saw an episode of Go Busters while staying in Nagoya while I was in Japan, but, come on, SPD's morph sequence is definitely cooler than Dekaranger's. SPD has a real techo kinda transformation that reflects the future time it's set in (ironically set in what is our past now), but, much as I like Dekaranger, it's transformation felt kinda fairyish, with all the glittery sparkles, which doesn't exactly say "Space Police", does it?
SPD Red lacks the DekaRed sirens and the SPD dialogues seems to make little sense SPD uses some normal siren noises but Dekaranger uses their own unique siren noises
No hate on SPD, great nostalgia. But it's just clear that some haven't really seen or really get Dekaranger and call SPD "better" than Deka because they like to compare "plot points": 1. Dekaranger is more build up like a cop/crime series than a typical Sentai/PR Season without a big bad and his minions trying to conquer earth. There is no main boss pulling the strings. All Monsters are individual criminals just trying to cause chaos for their own benefits and fun. And the only one "big bad" is more like a dealer to the individual criminals. Dekaranger are basically just Police Officers taking care of those criminal matters. 2. Dekaranger does not take place in the future. 3. They are not "Space Police". 4. Ban & Hoji don't have the same background rivalry and tension or reasons for it like Jack & Sky. They are partners just that Hoji is annoyed with Ban calling him "Partner" but would still acknowledge him as such deep inside. Otherwise there is not really much rivalry between those two.
More importantly, Dekaranger set in one timeline and not mixing bullshit with Timeranger and Megaranger. But correction: SPD is an Intergalactic Space Police somehow they have many branches on any planets. Also, Alienizer are considered to be Rouge Criminals from outer space and wherever they invade to murder or terrorize citizens, SPD alert every branches to delete Alienizer. Also on Ban and Hoji, they’re more of a classic Red Blue rivalry and i’ve already seen some of it in every Sentai series. Hoji is more a Pro guy who can be better than Deka Red as Deka Blue after losing his first Deka Red. But after knowing Ban, Hoji always known for Ban as hot headed Deka Red but knows how to finish the mission like a Fireball. At least it’s better Hoji never whines himself to be Aka Ranger, because he will always be a perfect Ao Ranger.

Whenever I see any Power rangers it feels like I am living my Childhood again in those days this was a Life of today's generation Children who grow up today and I like second morph
I have to admit that, even though I love Super Sentai, the Power Rangers equivalents have cooler transformation effects a lot of times, though that's kind of to be expected since they get the benefit of having superior tech and more time with how long it takes before they license the Sentai and get their hands on the costumes and original footage.
Ill admit i have yet to watch dekaranger (or huricanger and abaranger) because i grew up with their PR counterparts and its super nostalgic for me. I really gotta sit down and rewatch the PR then watch the sentai for a comparison as ive gotten more into sentai and kamen rider over the years. I wanna say my nostalgia means clearly what i grew up with was better but we all know rose tinted glasses means you cant see the true colors.

The Dekaranger Soundtrack simply far, far superior and it makes all the difference. That alone makes Dekaranger far superior for me. SPD uses generic and boring action music. Listen to "Dekaranger Action", "SWAT ON Dekaranger" and you'll know what i mean.
Even tho SPD was Made by Disney, but i could say yeah for the aesthetic they got it right with the techo feel (and it's Disney so expect a high quality pro from them..... Even if they cut corners in here too). Story wise i like Dekaranger slighty better, but SPD is still one of my fav childhood PR of all

I mean it replaced one of the most fan loved series Shinkenger, so many (Alongside those who watched in TV) placed high standart for Goseiger that wanted to go with a more episodic route after the previous's more plot heavy emphasis. Still Goseiger to me is still doable not that bad (i'm not blaming those who liked it), but i understand it's not for everybody's taste.

The Dekaranger Soundtrack simply far, far superior and it makes all the difference. That alone makes Dekaranger far superior for me. SPD uses generic and boring action music. Listen to "Dekaranger Action", "SWAT ON Dekaranger" and you'll know what i mean.

Even tho SPD was Made by Disney, but i could say yeah for the aesthetic they got it right with the techo feel (and it's Disney so expect a high quality pro from them..... Even if they cut corners in here too). Story wise i like Dekaranger slighty better, but SPD is still one of my fav childhood PR of all

@@pn2294 maybe because Goseiger aired at the time when internet was starting to go popular (thru streaming sites) and thuss new comers who expected a high action packed plot in the way. I mean it replaced one of the most fan loved series Shinkenger, so many (Alongside those who watched in TV) placed high standart for Goseiger that wanted to go with a more episodic route after the previous's more plot heavy emphasis. Still Goseiger to me is still doable not that bad (i'm not blaming those who liked it), but i understand it's not for everybody's taste.
The fun fact is - dekaranger already have a 20th anniversary movie while spd has none - meaning - spd is just 2nd rate and sentai is still better, even though japanese cast are already adults but they can still pull it off😎 unlike spd cast - where are they now?????
