I've been having the same struggle. After changing to what I thought was healthier foods 18 months ago and losing 20 Lbs, my A1C went from 4.8 to 5.7. Now classified as pre diabetic. I just got a continuous glucose monitor 2 days ago and it is mind blowing to see how different foods, portion sizes and time of eating effects the glucose levels. I've determined I eat way too much and too late in the evening, which effects my waking up fasting glucose. Congratulations on your progress and keep up the good work. Who would have thought eating and food can be so complicated.
Wow! I know, right! Isn't it frustrating to work so hard and not get the results expected... let alone to go the total opposite direction! I am SO sorry that happened to you. Yes! I have learned SO much about foods, portion sizes, and timing as it relates to my glucose levels too. There is NO one size fits all, when it comes to blood sugar responses. The CGM monitor has taught me that for sure! Thank you and I appreciate your comment!
Checking it out! Try changing the title to put prediabetes in the beginning, more relatable words in the beginning will give you a nice reach. Congratulations on beating it!
Update: I tried changing my title, but I noticed that I am not as discoverable with the best keywords. My views dropped to pretty much nothing for the past few hours. I even dropped completely out of search. At first, I was picking up traction and continuous views with the less common keywords. I'm sure that's because my small channel just can not compete with the larger channels. 😉
Very good. Though there is a reason for slightly elevated bloodsucking when you first wake up. Do you check your fasting insulin level? You're doing good.
True. I have heard of the dawn phenomenon that can happen to some people between 4 am and 8 am, but my fasting glucose was clearly due to a poor meal choice the night before. My fasting glucose has improved GREATLY at this point. No, I have not checked my fasting insulin level at all yet, but I have been thinking about requesting it at some point. Thank you!

P.S. If you had a 4.8 A1c, you were Normal! So, if I were you, I would just go back to what you were doing before. 🤣💯
