I guess I Just find it the most fun to play because of the gameplay alone, which I think is its strongest part and also the best in the series. I also understand what you say about the backgrounds and the mission 2-3 boss (which I like because the fight itself is very diferent), maybe those were just things I didn't mind that much and hope they improve in the next entry, if there is one. Also, there are two things that made me love xx; playing as Leona and the fight with Allen in the giant slugs.

The game is tough to play due to some platforming involved and the enemy control there but memorisation and using resources of items wisely can make it a cakewalk! (As well as the invincibility system from jumping out of the Metal Slug vehicle. 40:37 I thought you lost a life here after defeating the final boss! Very lucky! What's the best method defeating the 5th mission boss when using other characters because it gets insane at a certain point...

She's basically Marco ( his default attack deals more damage ) , Ralf ( Physical connoseiur ) and Fio ( i think in some patch she has more ammo like Fio did ) mixed into one
