    This neighborhood reminds me of the movie Steel Magnolias where the first scene features a very scenic view of houses and lush greeneries.

    The historical homes of River oaks are definitely under threat, which is a shame.

      @@sashajolie8995 it seems that many new people (who are moving into River Oaks) prefer newer homes. Probably because the iconic older houses tend to have low ceilings and dated layouts. Sad because a lot of the houses they tear down are just so pretty! But I can understand wanting to make a house your own when you’re spending millions of dollars.

      @@michaellacourt6112 honestly if it was me I would buy an older home but update it, while keeping the charm of the original one. Older homes were timeless I feel like these new ones are gonna get boring soon
