$170 is way too steep for a board like that.
Not many hall effect boards around. If you meant Cherry, then yes.
@@pointvector1951 There are shit tones around where did you get that from you have keychron , nuphy , arbiter studios Polaris , Wooting , ATK , Pawnage the list gones one and every one of them are a better joys over Logitech . Basicly every brand has a HE keyboard or makes one right now there is even a DIY one with the Venom HE PCB
Whooting is asking 200 for their 80HE keyboard (all plastic body cept gasket). All metal is around 280$ so quality wise, seems like a fair price point.
@@nolan6137 They are all OVERPRICED!
@glbernini0 Bro I used to have the same mindset as you. I remember one day my friend got me into Disneyland for free and for 2 people with full fast passes, It would of been close to 400 dollars. I started thinking to myself "wow, this shit is overpriced". Then I started looking around and noticed the park was at near full capacity and around half the people had fast passes. That's when I realized that it's not overpriced because this product / experience is what the current market will bare (What consumers are consistently willing to pay). Later this month, Nvidia is going to release a 2000$ dollar GPU, that's a price point that many will find to be insane. Despite this, not only will these all sell out within the first day but scalpers will be reselling close to 3 grand because that is what the market will be willing to pay for a 5090.
Judging by the magnet placement and the housing design these switches are made by RAESHA
Oh wow, I never even heard of them. Thanks for the info 🤝
@@TheTechnethey make razer switches as well as drunkdeer's hall effect switches
Is that a good or bad thing? How do you think they compare with Gateron Jades and Wootings?
@@fran2911 they are good, one of the better hall effect
The rog falchion he keyboard has the same switches as well
The real surprise is the USB-C port: Logitech has been stubbornly using Micro USB until recently.
But I'm sure that they added a multitude of breaking points to increase sales as usual: Their quality has become so horrible in recent years.
Blame the EU. They forced that on anyone wanting to sell products in EU territories. Otherwise Logitech would most likely still use Micro USB.
@@the12gaugeshotty I will give EU no credit for their stupid policies, but I will blame customers for not caring or supporting it if it was such an issue.
@@VarjoPira oh they would still use micro USB if it wasn't for EU
@@DKGaming4Life yes, by all means, it is such a healthy stance to outsource responsibility to an trans-national entity.
@@VarjoPiraI am on board with usb-C sorry but i dont see the probelm in haveing 1 connector .
I got this recently and I honestly like it. Used a Wooting 60HE as my main for a long time but missed TKL layout. Rapid Trigger Performance is the same as my 60HE, back to my preferred TKL layout and has a volume wheel and dedicated media keys.
Wooting isn't very comfortable for me. Not sure why. Never needed a wrist rest before, but considering one now.
Just got this keyboard and its been amazing. Would recommend this over any "Modern Keyboard", the switches are really fast and responsive. The board also has a slight creamy sound if that's what you're going for
I just picked up one of these, and I really like it. It's great to type on. I had a Razer rapid trigger KB before and it felt cheap. I just wish they'd do wireless verion / low profile.
My favorite from logitech is still the G915 Lightspeed
This looks like something from 10 years ago apart from the switches, why don't they try harder with so much competition?
i agree with the chrome edge, 100% makes it look more cheap rest of logitechs aesthetic is overall nice
thanks! cant wait to get this
Ive been happy with my G915 TKL since it launched(Had/have the original with the 10keypad too). Looks classy and gamery enough. Plus, the shorter low profile keys are so nice. The taller Razer and other keyboards make my hand hurt after a while.
Finally, someone made a Rapid review.
I’ve been watching like all of your headset videos lately I play rainbow six siege where sound is very important especially footsteps , do I got with a50s or the arctis nova pros
Isn't a keyboard from Asus (I think it was just released a few weeks ago) that does that rapid fire toggle that you said? You have a physical switch on the right side that u can flip up or down and changes the actuation profile from standard to gaming.
Yeah it does
Completely agree with your conclusion Techne. Logi is waaay behind with everything and this looks like it was just forced out there with no attention, details of Logi LOVE that we are used to. God knows I love Logi but no idea what is going on over there. Mouse & keyboard that is... Great video as always!
Yeah man, I miss the old logi
Thanks for the review! Logitech still phoning it in I see. The aesthetics of this thing are a nightmare. Super ugly for an enthusiast keyboard in 2025.
Its not an enthusiast keyboard its high prices cheap garbo meant to sit in a shelf of hops that some normy buys it . If we talk about enthusiast then thats they case for Wooting and Keychron
@@xythiera7255 lol fair
Keeb actually sounds decent out the box wow
Sir ,i wanna change the keycaps on this keyboard but i am clueless. Would you please offer me some hints. I am totally newbie to this field. I’ve done some searches, some say the shift on this keyboard is non standard, some say the space bar is… those confuse me so much. Thank you indeed.
Would love to see this compared to your Glorious GMMK 3 keyboard.
im gonna be frank, i either use an original apex pro tkl or a huntsman te - i was planning on getting one of these new gen keyboards with the rapid trigger stuff going on but i just dont think i even see the point of spending so much on them tbh when the ones ive got get the job done. i also like a noisy keyboard and everyones making them too quiet these days 😂😂 nice to see logitech finally catching up though
Man then new apex pro gen 3 is so good! That what I main, and shewww its great (wireless)
just get wooting if anything
Upgrade the firmware on apex pro and you will get rapid trigger
is it made of Aluminum??
I don't know man, keyboards from lesser brands, that are cheaper are also better quality. In 2025 I don't know why would anyone give the crazy amount of money these companies ask to get a keyboard that isn't even something that special.
I really wish they would make a G915 75%
Looks pretty basic. Hopefully they’ll come out with an HE version of their G915 TKL. Loved the low profile keys and media knob
Did what? Make keys where the letters don't rub off. Had to go through a literal nightmare to get them to finally admit that 2 brand new keyboards were defective. While I have other logitech keyboards that are 12-15 years old and the keys are just fine. After all was said and done and I finally got a refund I vowed to never touch another logitech device. So many better options out there IMO.
why would i buy that when wooting 80he exists?
ima stick with wooting keyboards for now
no offense to logitech, but if i had to get a new keyboard for 170€ id have no singular reason to choose this over an apex pro tkl. no stand out features and completely bland. it looks like if dry toast and butter was a sandwich and logitech proudly proclaims "jup, we got one!".
For $170 bucks just get a wooting he and for a $125 bucks you can get the Aribter polar 65 both much better options.
I bought this keyboard two weeks ago with 144 USD.i just need to lubricate switches and stabs then I've got what I've expected for. Totally love it.
sounds really good
Apple errr *cough Logitech getting wild with their prices.
You have some really fantastic suggestions! Actually they sound so doable and make my not wanting to buy this keyboard now..
So does this keybord get you risk of being banned in games? without you knowing its called "cheating" think the ban stuff is bull
logitech is far far too late. my wooting just arrived and im probably done with logitech at this point..logitech uses cheap ABS plastic, i paid good money for their g915TKL and within 3-4 months the keys looked like crap. for just a little more i got a wooting with pbt caps and i got to chose my configuration on it. logitech uses the bottom of the barrel parts, small mah batteries for their wireless models, then charges you a premium price for cheap quality.
there are keyboards for less than $100 that offer more value and quality than logitech at this point. and that sucks, ive been a logitech fan for decades.. if a competitor comes out with a decent mouse that has free scroll like my g903 lightspeed.. i'll jump that ship too lol.
cheers
the high profile caps ruins it
Got it for 100$ on sale
nice
sounds pretty good
Personally i hate clickety keyboards. I guess i assumed magnetic switches would be quieter? Anyways, i think the tech is good for pros but doesn't look worth it's price.
Eh, I'll stick with my G915 TKL. It still works great 😊
switches look very low quality buut is better than nothing i guess
They are not low quality. The switches are Raesha magnetic and its really solid, There are a lot of keyboards that use that switch
Too late, 15 years too late
i like the chrome
Gaming Keyboard Revolution lmao
Nice keyboard
200€....go steal somewhere else
crazy how shit "gaming" keyboards are now. Though I guess they've been shit all along
basically nothing innovative, just imitated but in different and "professional" way. Expensive Outdated. Logitech still being Logitech.
Logitech has really fallen off.... :/
funny e-waste from logi agaiin
ill pass....i used to simp for logitech but i found ALOT better products from other companies like gravastar....plus logitechs crappy software is just crap
Na too late and lame LoL
logitech is dead
copying Steelseries technology on 2025 while there is already OMNIPOINT 3.0
what do you mean
Now the only major company that refuses to go HE is Razer. LOL!
Huntsman v3 pro
Ducky?
@@TSunderground i dont even think ducky is a major company for stuff these days
@@nick_848 That is not HE, it's analog optical. Perform similarly to HE, only problem is that it is proprietary from Razer. Now I'm waiting for TMR, basically better than HE in every way.
@@thenatous_ Huntsman is also loud AF
Im first:)
