Also just a theory, I could be reaching but this is Eminem, you never know how deep it goes.
At the end you see him go out onto the stage, into the lights. The darkness could be referring to off the stage, behind closed doors so to speak. He doesn't want to be alone anymore once all of the lights go off. For the shooter his "light" was being on TV, being infamous, being spoken about and having people know he exists. Like I say, a reach.

On mental health, I think we need to stop the stigma attached to those who get counseling or help. People go to the gym to get physically fit, why do we stereotype those who may go to a “mental coach” or psychologist for their mental health? I love it when Shaq becomes speechless. Its like feeling like having good friends. I dont have many friends but I dont have a single friend who appreciates Eminem and Music as much as I would so I never have someone to talk to so Shaq Is like ike that friend who understands you and doesnt judge you.
I had a friend for many years who was so into Eminem, and music being one of our shared loves, he tried for years to get me to really listen to his music. But I was a lot younger and too closed off and honestly, too stupid to give him a true listen. I say stupid because my main reasons were that there was just too much controversy and I felt like I had enough shit going on in my life, I didn’t want to think about or deal with the bigger controversies.
When my friend died (drunk driver hit the car he was in), I sat down with my grief and finally played every Eminem song I could find. It was one thing I felt like I still owed him and it was something about him I wanted to understand better.
I regret that it took me so long to really listen to Eminem, because the man is a lyrical genius, but I regret more the missed conversations my friend and I could have shared about this music that was so important to him.
I enjoy Eminem for his own sake, but also because every time I listen to him, it makes me feel closer to my friend, like he’s not completely gone.
My friend didn’t have a lot of friends, but the ones he did have he genuinely cared about and I believe, visa versa. Maybe one day your friends will come around to Eminem, or maybe not, we all have different tastes (but still, tastes can change). Here’s hoping that one day one of them will and you will have someone you can share the music with. But if not, you still have the music and how it speaks to you and makes you feel, and that’s not a little thing.

The Sound of Silence is a crazy good song and recommend the Disturbed cover instead of the original. But that brings so much more meaning into this song and brings this to another level on top of a million other levels. Chills the whole way through.

I love this album. This is genius. I’ve heard every single Eminem track on every album and every other track that has ever been released or leaked. This is possibly the most brilliant and powerful track he has ever dropped.
The duality of this music video gives me chills. I've had people I've shown this too completely miss one side of the song, either I have to tell them or they find out at the end. He doesn't compromise the message once through the entire thing. Absolutely beautiful.
I love the album. My boys and I Listened to the whole thing yesterday and I listened to it again myself. I really love it and I’m one of those people that stopped listening to Em after The Eminem Show, only checking out songs here and there. But Kamikaze brought me back and this is very much on par with that album.
