Lakewood's roads are clogged. It happens nearly everyday unless theres an Orthodox holiday, which leaves the roads eerily empty. Rt 9 between County Line rd and Rt 70 is absurd. It can take an hour if you don't know how to navigate back roads. They drive like they own the roads to, which makes matters even worse. Every minivan has dents from their carelessness. I swear I think they pull out in front of you on purpose. They also look right thru anyone who's not Orthodox. They want to build everywhere, yet could care less about the traffic issues that will arise. Thank god they knocked down with that permit that would've allowed over 1800 homes on the Eagle Ridge golf course. That's 5 minutes from our home and would've created severe traffic issues near us. They filled an appeal, and if they eventually get a permit, it will be because someone pulled strings. Putting all those homes on a backroad thats already filled with potholes is a terrible idea with no regard for traffic congestion. And how about all these children being raised on welfare while their fathers make boatloads of money. They abuse the system by not being officially married according to the state. Those 26 Orthodox who got busted for welfare fraud are only a drop in the bucket. I'll bet three quarters of the Orthodox community are involved in one type of welfare fraud or another. The community went crazy with hundreds asking their leaders if what they were doing was against the law. I mean you'd have to be a idiot to not realize what your doing is a crime. I'm just sick of these people abusing the system and acting like everyone else is invisible. The feds need to come in here and take this town back from all the crooked BS going on in every faction of the government and institutions in town. It's run by the Orthodox and they believe they don't have to abide by our country's laws. It's just absurd how NJ has let this town close itself out from the rest of the world. Only when it started affecting the kids attending public school did they actually move in. Hopefully they'll continue to bust the crooks.

How many of those Orthodox-raised kids stay Orthodox? If it's anything like the broader trend in the US, I imagine they will be less devout and less reproductive, the next generation so forth, etc
