Took my female pet rabbit to the vet two nights ago and I was told she had a broken spine, 3 broken ribs and bladder problems. Even then she keeps her calm and pushes to be herself. She is the best! 😢 the doctor suggested 4 different medicines to reduce inflammation in her stomach and antibiotics that should be given to her orally every 12 hours every day. She will never be the same as the spine is too damaged to be recovered. I don’t know how long she is going to be with me but all I can say is that she is a hustler and has brightened my life so much. I love her lots! 🙂❤️
I tell my mom pretty often that even though we already have a happy little bun, if I saw a disabled bunny one day then I'm going to adopt that baby and give it so much love and care. We had a bun for years and he was getting old and got cataracts but that meant more love and Kale for him
What a sad story. Did you ever find out what the clinic did wrong to paralyze him? Oreo--a great name for a great rabbit, who with your help, continues to enjoy life. Thanks for saving this brave little bunny.
@@johnnybenavides3844 Our Netherland dwarf bunny named Peanut was neutered at age 2. We purchased him in 2005 through the Connecticut Humane Society who had volunteers at a local Petco. He lived until 15 1/2. Rabbits are considered "exotics" that require a vet who specializes in exotics. If Oreo was my bunny, I would have sued the vet for medical expenses, the value of the bunny, and emotional distress. Nevertheless, you are the perfect Bunny Parents. Thank you for taking such excellent care of him!
Great job with your bunny! I wish more people cared as much as you do! My beautiful girl started dragging one back leg last week. Got her to the vet ASAP and x-rays show intervertebral degenerative disease. She's only just turned two and if the medication that she is on doesn't work the vet said that she will need to be put to sleep because the pain will be unmanageable. She doesn't seem to be in pain. I'm hoping for the best. Maybe she can have a wheelchair for just one leg💙🐰💙
Good fer ye standing up fer that rabbit! I had one with malconcussion, after a long long negative story with a particularly nasty woman (head of a animal rescue) he almost was put down, it made my blood boil after he went all that way up to the vet and even the checkup, fortunately the vets adopted him and he is getting the lifelong care he will need for his teeth c:
Good for you young lady. Well done to you, your family and your brilliant rabbit. Thank you from England. That has given me a smile to start my day. Go easy and be well :-).
Oreo is such a strong rabbit like my Smiley. I dont know what is going on yet to my babygirl, but we will find out soon. Oreo gave us more hope than we had before watching this video! Thank you and good luck Oreo! Have fun and enjoy your happy life with your awesome family.
I miss our Oreo, similar thing happened to him, my son went to pull him from under the bed and his hind legs dislocated, and he looked almost exactly like yours. Wish we had a bunny wheelchair like that he dragged his legs for a few weeks, we wrapped them, but he didn’t heal 😢thanks for sharing your story
Can you show me how your dad built that wheel chair for the oreo? I have a rabbit that is the same way. The vet gave him 2 shots one in each back leg. Steroid and antibiotic but he is not getting better
OREO is the bomb! I have a all white Netherland dwarf and she would love to be friends with Oreo, she watched this video with me and was just staring at Oreo it was adorable 🥰
I have a small paralysed wild rabbit and he is doing great. My problem is that I don't know how to keep him dry, as he releases himself on his hind legs. Any tips?

They’re were supposed to neuter him when he was a baby not when old ..that’s where she went wrong
