The second story about the credit card fraud when some guy in Arizona accidentally sent the a nice 3000 dollar table to our house instead of his with our credit card... so we called the card company and they it’s insurance we got a refund and got to keep the table and to this day about 3 years later we still use as our kitchen table😂🤣
David should have backed up all his exam notes to the cloud. That way, he could have still accessed them on another computer ( love Google Drive. Whenever I buy a new computer, I log into it and there's all my apps, photos, notes, etc.)

i heard this contractor story in another reddit video a couple of months ago and i made a comment on it to now that i think about it, it was probably DB that replied because the idiot didnt know what the hell they were talking about in how that the contractor sets the price and you have to pay all of it before the work begins. what they said is not only wrong but it could lead to the contractor doing what DB did and just leaving the site or never show up after being paid. if you want work done on your house and are going to hire a service like a general contractor to do it. NEVER EVER pay more than 50% of what the quote for the job is up front with pobably being a better idea to not pay more than 30%. this will make sure the contractor comes back and finishes the job to get the other 50-70% quoted price. any decent contractor worth hiring will accept this and pay for what they need out of their pocket knowing they are going to get the rest of the money at the end of the job.
The last one is called the reshipper scam. Yes they find somebody local to except the packages, sell the items online and then have the reshipper mail the package. This way the credit card thief is unidentifiable to law-enforcement. I learned about it firsthand when my credit card numbers were stolen and I found that the packages were shipped to the next building over from me. My letter carrier asked about it. She said she reported it but had to deliver the packages, along with UPS and FedEx.
Contractor problem. During the first contracting class I attended after I started working for the Navy in 1967, I was told that "contractors get well on change orders." On all contracts I have been involved in since then, I do my best to avid change orders.
last story reminds me of the one where a guy hears his car has been stolen and 5 mins later it arrives at the gas station he works at, best part was the thieves had filled up and paid for the gas before getting arrested

You had problems from the beginning got a ridiculous time schedule and you continued with the contractor? you didn’t have to pay the contractor for doing nothing but he destroyed your material that you did pay for. Two months for a bathroom? And by the way when you gut bathroom, you’re going to find surprises. electrical, plumbing, and possibly structural if there was a leak. Next time check on the contractor before you have them start work not two months later.

Omg that last one was great. Having been a victim of fraud (albeit only 60 dollars were taken) it is nice to know some people can get justice (^_^)
