Marvel’s The Defenders which premieres globally on Netflix on August 18, 2017 at 12:01am PT follows Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal - to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox, (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist). Charlie Cox is basically the RDJ of the Netflix universe. Had Daredevil not have worked, this entire idea for the Defenders might not have come to fruition (Same as RDJ/Iron-Man for the first Avengers movie).
Colton G The Netflix "universe" is the same universe as the Marvel movies.

I tweeted about this earlier. Without both Charlie and RDJ and their film/show not working we wouldn't have gotten the team ups or the other films/series. I love how humble both Charlie and RDJ are about it all though.
Vincent Degiosio Ehh iron fist is more like Incredible Hulk to me they're both not bad just not as amazing as the other three plus they have one of the same problems not enough hulk not enough iron first.
He's the Stephen Amell of the D.C. Tv universe.

TBF, he is a decent actor with okay stunt. It might be below Netflix standard, but it is still way better than most of CW tv shows. Iron Fist deserves another shot.

lettucepicker As long as the get a better writer someone who can understand theming. Iron fist can be great but they have the put effort into it like they did the other three. They don't get to rest on their laurels were not stupid.
To me Iron Fist has a similar issue to the first Captain America film, which felt like it is just created for setting up Avenger film. But then Winter Soldier and Civil War were both great films and I really enjoyed.
I hope Iron Fist crews learned the lesson and create better story telling for Danny Rand in the next season.

How Fin Jones was acting at comic con, THATS THE IRONFIST WE WANT!!
It gives Danny more of a personality if he acts like that. On the other hand, whenever he's alone, he's more serious, but when he's in a group or with just Luke Cage, he acts like the "Spider-Man" in the group.
I love Daredevil he laughed when they said season two of Iron Fist. After Jessica stood up to clap and high five him.

I feel bad for Fin Jones, not allot of people clapped for IF season 2 XD.
Rahul Chaudhary I blame Marvel and netlfix for season 1.
First off they rushed the hell out of it. Defenders was supposed to be released earlier but because DD was so amazingly popular they decided to delay it. Because IF was the unlucky one to be the last series before defenders they rushed that one do they could get working on defenders as soon as possible.
The MC Fin Jones stated in interviews that they sometimes only had 15 min to rehearse a fight scene. This is again because they were rushed.
Second is Netflix their 13 episode seasons. Some series like House of Cards can pull this off but for most hour long series it's best to limit the season to only 8 episodes. Stranger things did this and what we got was a tight and organically flowing story. Because they had to spread out the season over 13 EPS the series became a slow burn with allot of legal and corporate scènes about danny's inheritance that nobody cares about.
Luke Cage suffered as well due to the 13 ep season. Pretty much everyone I talked top Agreed that the first half of Luke Cage was far superior to the second half.
So i don't blame the IF crew and u believe they deserve a second chance. Netflix and Marvel just need to change up the formula a little

Finn Jones looks to be having more fun here then the actual show. Can we just have THAT GUY be written as Danny.

I just saw the trailer for The Defenders and Weaver's character reminds me of Blofeld from Spectre. She is kind of the big bad and very much responsible for the creation of who the Defenders are. She is kind of the Kinpin that controls the 3 or 4 other organizations where each defenders faced off in their own series. Seeing all the heroes now coming together to take down this singular threat is just perfect. I think for Iron Fist his performance will work when is part of a supportive cast which is great.

So glad they green lit Iron Fist season 2. The first season was really setup. Jones only had 3 weeks to train for season 1. I suspect we'll definitely see the costume and a more exciting season 2 with (hopefully) Steel Serpent as the main villain.
Jessica Jones had Luke Cage to rely on a bit on that series but a great villain. I would say Luke Cage and Iron Fist were about equal in quality.
The only reason Iron Fist got savaged was because the main character was caucasian, which was ridiculous. That's what he is in the comics.
Want Asian heroes? Hell, yes! Greenlight a Shang Chi series. I would eat that up with a spoon.
Iron Fist season 2 will kick ass.
