I go for my annual physical every January ((oh joy😊) after receiving bill for a few grand that includes lab work,X-ray I so glad for good insurance and only paid $150.00 out of pocket.The real work begins when we leave the doctors office.I get my water in one gallon a day, why? One word (Terri) I’m not a health expert but Metamucil lower my cholesterol without medication 😳 Now about getting a new car I was looking at a2024 Acura MDX $800.00 a month for 7 years , so why didn’t I get it? One word (Terri) 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I’ll just stick with our 13 year old accord with 60,000 miles. Blessings Elder Jones
Hey Elder, eating healthy is the key. No fast foods, no restaurants food, no sugars and less carbs, exercise. You cannot blame all of the wives. I have been talking to my husband about eating the right foods for years and to no avail. He does what he wants. You can take the horse to the water but you can’t force him to drink it!
The world is now just learning about good food. The Fda been feeding us poisoned foods for years.
I do all my yearly exams eyes, teeth, breast, yearly exams and due to do my colonoscopy next week. I teach my sons and members to do the same
At 60 years old, I only take vitamin D and Tramadol for a back injury. I have great blood pressure and not other major issues.
I have been rebuked for openly talking about the need to get your regular check up.

Great information, Sir Walter. But here's my situation. While living in Alberquerque, NM, I had my usual 6-month check-up done. After reviewing the test results, my PSA level was elevated. The doctor on duty checked my prostate for abnormalities. It was determined that I had a swollen prostate. I was later referred to a urologist to undergo a routine prostate biopsy. The urologist took 6 samples from each side of the prostate. After the biopsy, and while I waited in the waiting area, I got extremely weak and almost passed out. Fortunately, I didn't. So after waiting for days for the results to be final, it was determined that my prostate was normal. So, here I go again. My GP did another physical, and the results are in again, high PSA. He's recommending that I set an appointment to see the urologist again. This question is directed to anyone who has gone through a similar situation. Do you know of the use of any other test other than a prostate biopsy that can determine if cancer is detected? Thanks, because I certainly do not want to go through another unnecessary biopsy.

Sir Walter I totally agree with you that men should go the doctor and take better care of themselves to live a long life and be around for their families but I totally disagree with you that it's the wives fault as to why some husbands have passed away from eating unhealthy food and not taking care of themselves. Women have been taught that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and culture says that women must know how to cook especially the food that pleases her husband no matter if it's bad for his health. It's a no-win situation for both when the wife refuses to cook the unhealthy food and the husband starts to complain.
Check the market place for affordable insurance. They have plans that you can set up based on your needs.

The children will follow the lifestyle habits of the parents. I have for many years advocated for a healthy lifestyle to family & friends. Some listen and some don't. My son and I eat healthy, work out several times a week, studies the bible and get our yearly medical, vision, and dental exams. This is not easy for many, but please take care of your selves.

You’re right.. the wife does the shopping and buys the crap. She’s usually the cook also.. she’s controlling the food that’s put on the table.. the end result is poor health.. example all these very young children in elementary school already obease! The mother is the fault!! Just my opinion..

I feel black men blame their women for everything they can’t measure up to. I watched my dad blame everything on my mother yet he was abusing her and while mostly absent outside of the house.

Sir Walter I disagree with you. He is a grown man and knows what he shouldn’t eat. My husband goes to all of his appointments and when I do fix something healthy he doesn’t want it. My husband goes to the gym or walks. However he feed the children junk and when I ask him not to bring it in the house he does it anyway. He is responsible for the ice, chips, cakes etc coming into the house.
