Loved this, thanks for showing the thought process as well as the technical process behind each photo. Super helpful, incredible images. By the way, I don’t think your genius links are working from your description, would love to support you on my Amazon!
Just booked one today! Crazy timing! Trying to get her to sign up for video as well. I was thinking of trying to do it all in one, but that just seems too nuts to me. Going to connect with some local talent and then see how it goes! Stoked to watch this commenting first lol :) Thanks again Eric...for something I havent watched.. haha :)
Awesome video! Your run-through and imagery are inspirational and motivates a lot. What kind of timeframe was this shoot happening in? Morning to end of afternoon?
Hey Eric! Just wanted to let you know that the links in your description aren't working for me and that might be the case for others. Love the shots in this video!
This is the best and most informative BTS video I've ever watched. How often do you switch focal lengths? Do you do a portion (15-20 min) with one lens then switch to the other? Or do you alternate continuously?
mostly commenting to help you blow up, but also just super appreciative of the content. been feeling in a creative rut, mixed with winter moodiness, but now inspired from just the first 5 minutes of this goodness
Very cool video, and thanks for sharing a bit of Patreon content in here Eric! One quick question, where did you get the lens hood for your voigtländer?? :)
sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Grant Emerson thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
oh shit I'm actually first lets go! even tho I've already seen this (cause im a member of the patreon and im not a f******* loser) ill watch it again...because im marketing today and i get bored...thanks Eric
Still I love your videos!!! A kinda throwaway line was about how you love the emotions even if you don't get the composition perfect. I'm curious how you would go about getting a perfect composition and pose without losing that emotion? Perhaps there's a video there for you. Keep up with the videos!!! :)
I guess its more that the composition isn't as perfect as it would be if I had full control. I actually like the "less than perfect" compositions during emotional moments. Makes it feel a bit more organic and less planned, if you will.
So how do you balance between set up shots and natural shots? Like you don't want to consume their day telling them what to do, but at the end of the day you have to create something that brings value to them. I just think it would be harder to balance that if you're spending all day together.
Totally. I let the natural elements of the day play themselves out, always playing music in the background. Whenever I felt inspired in this circumstance, we took posed portraits. Otherwise, it was all really natural, and toward the evening, we accomplished the planned elements with notes to each other and more formal portraits in their wedding attire.
I love the reverence given for each and every moment. It feels so holy and suspended in time.
Such a sweet thing to say. Thank you so much!!
Aaaah, all the fun stuff you can do when you photograph for other creatives! So cool! They get it and appreciate the artsy playful photos!
Love how in depth this is! Caught a lot of posing ideas from this & A LOT of composition of course. Awesome work!

How do you make such naturally beautiful imagery? Hoowwwwwwww?!?!?!?!
Time and practice and practice and time. Rinse, repeat.
in some cases like that, i prefer the elettronic shutter for his silence..
One of the benefits of mirrorless vs. dslr for sure

Soothing video as always!!! When back-button focusing, do you normally focus in AI servo?
Thanks so much! I do!

That was awesome! So chilled and in the moment... really enjoyed it and some great inspiration for my next wedding shoots!

Great Stuff Eric! Would Love to see More of this here. Btw i love your messy boots. Peace ✌🏻 flo
haha thanks, dude!!
When you're shooting digital - how often do you use touch screen to focus vs back button focus? Great video man!
Great question! Probably back button 90% of the time and live view + touch screen the other 10% of the time 🤘🏼
@@EricFloberg Very cool! Thanks man. Love your mix of creating with film & digital on wedding days.
love that composition you got there when they were getting ready
Thanks so much!
yeshhhh, my favorite one of all time

Amazing video Eric, and it brings back so many wonderful memories of Chicago
