It is amazing you mixed all the bags for the floor!! I have done a 2x2 square and that was enough for me!!! Great work ethic!!
Thanks! Wasn’t easy for sure, and my body was feeling in the next day .
I just got free metal shed that is 2 years old, homeowner wants a garden instead and got it free. Took me 1.5 hour to remove it myself and your video is going to help me re-install everything lol 😂😂😂😂 THANKS MY FRIEND
Glad you find my video helpful!
The wind blows away the Metal Shed I have to learn how to rebuild it. Thanks
You did an awesome job.
Thank you
this is a god send thank you (and the RUclips algorithm)
Thanks for the review and walkthrough 👍.
Good job man
Awesome job! 👏 What did you use to anchor it with and how did you anchor it down??
Thanks! I used 1/4” plastic anchors and 1 1/2” long screws . And I also ran a bead of polyurethane caulk to water seal the bottom to concrete slab:
Thanks for this video! I’m setting up the 8x6 one in my backyard. Does it come with anchors, or will I need to purchase those separately?
No anchors, I had to buy my own. I also ran polyurethane sealant on the bottom, to make it water tight.
Good job and video!
thank you cood video
Thanks!
Seems very time consuming to put together, thanks for the video, it's very helpful.
Hows it holding up? Do i need any special foundation or can i put it directly on my concrete backyard driveway?
You don’t need special foundation, it’s holding up on, it’s pretty flimsy but can’t beat the cost.
Any problems after 3 years? Moisture damage or mold growth?
Only one complaint, I wish doors had small wheels instead of plastic guides, have constantly lubricate them and doors don’t open smoothly. But other than that everything is good, no moisture or mold , although it doesn’t rain all that much where I live
Great video! If you dont mind me asking, how many inches thick is your concrete from the ground?
About 3-3.1/2 inches
Good job. I did a dry pour and it didn't come out as well as yours
I don’t think a dry poor is good idea for a large area. But it’s just for the shed , so I guess it doesn’t matter too much
I’m doing a dry pour on mine tomorrow, I’m doing 2.5 inches
Nice work!
Nice!
How many bags of concert did it take?
If I remember correctly, it took about 36-38 bags.
@@roadglassandmore Thanks buddy 👍
Curious to know how much the shed cost at the time?
I think it was around $500 .
Hi…. Did you use a concrete truck to bring in your concrete or did you use quickrete from local home store? If you used bags .. can you remember how many you used?
I think I have used about 52, 60lbs concrete bags .
@@roadglassandmore
Ok thanks! Great video , this was very helpful!
I wish you would have went into more detail about what you were doing, like which way the roof beams went.
Does it have to be a cement platform or what else can I use?
It doesn’t have to have cement pad, you can set it on anything, I saw people even use plywood.
Would it be cheaper if you would call a concrete company to come by with there truck and pore?
You are paying someone’s gas and labor on top of concrete cost. So it’s cheaper to do it yourself, but this was a last time I did any concrete work, I will be paying someone to do it for me , it’s way too hard and back breaking
@@roadglassandmore actually where I live there are concrete mixing trucks that once you have the area prepared for poring cement they will come by with a cement mixing truck and por it quickly then you would smooth it out.
Nice👍
Can I store all my yard tools in there thanks bro I’ll fill it up full of all my stuff . Just buy me a lock please thanks bro lmao !! No for real though You did a great job brother!!
Bring your stuff over , I will only charge small Daly storage fee!
Do you think if it's sturdy? Can it withstand wind or gust?
Pretty sturdy! But you will need to anchor it down.
/DId you use any anchor bolts or anything to tie the shed to the concrete? I might have missed it
I did use anchors, I didn’t film that process.
How many bags of concrete?
Around 32
Much respect, you are fearless to tackle this whole project on your own. I have done some research on this one and everyone says you need at least 2 people for it. You've given me the confidence I needed to go at it alone too.
I will be doing exactly what you did including building the platform. Do you recall how many bags of concrete you used? were they 40 or 80 pounds each? I also noticed you didn't use rebar. Was that a conscious decision ? or you just didn't care?
Also..any leaks during rain season?
Thank you.
Thanks, I do most of the work by myself, but I would recommend you have someone help you with mixing and purring concrete! My back didn’t like that too much. I think I have used about 50 ( 60lbs)bags of concrete) . I didn’t use rebar because I don’t think it’s needed, there isn’t much weight to support. Also we haven’t had rain here since I installed it, but I did seal the bottom with some polyurethane caulking.
Is it flimsy?
The metal is very thin and dents very easily. But the shed doesn’t twist or move, I think it’s good she’s for the money.
How did you get the shed on to the pad?
With my wife, it’s not extremely heavy.
How did you move it over to the concrete surface?
Picked up with another person, it’s not very heavy
Putting ours together we’re on the roofing part but this has been hell. Nothing lines up or has been bent bunch of crap!!
It’s pretty complicated to put together, I agree. But can’t beat the price though
what are the dimensions on the concrete slab?
I made it just an inch wider then the shed. 10’1” by 8’1”
Cool. I appreciate you responding back. I plan to buy this same exact shed this weekend and was curious about the floor dimensions.
I bought the same one...nothing but heartache and backache. Parts didn't fit right, holes did not line up and to top it all, the doors will not open or close unless I use both hands and my back. I double checked all measurements, base is square, top is square and using a level all bubbles are centered. Piece of junk..I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE, EVEN IF IT IS FREE!
I feel your pain. Roof was very frustrating none of the holes wanted to line up. I actually made a few holes in the beams myself because they just wouldn't line up no matter which way I twisted the building. I wouldn't recommend this building to anyone unless it's pre assembled and brought to you on a trailer. Or pay to have the company that makes them come assembled it for you.
If you run the screws at an angle then drive them in they go just fine. None of mine lined up and I got them to go with a little angling. Very unprofessional craftsmanship on the part of the company but in the end it’s decent enough
LMAO idk how they got it all into the package
Definitely takes couple of people to lift the package
@@roadglassandmore Good to know! Thanks again 😊😊
@@roadglassandmore The 10x8 storage shed is exactly what i need! or a 10x12 or 14 at the most > If i can pick up 1 end at a time and block it up. Where i can move it around on a dolly or trail ect,, Its going to be used over my water well. and a place to store some things and a riding lawn mower. Plus i want to concert the flooring
does it seem flimsy???
It does seem feel a little flimsy! But the price it’s worth it I think.
