I had a baby drowned spawn with a trident, I used blocks to block the tridents then after 5 minutes of placing blocks I contained the pint sized terror, then broke a block, struck with a sword, then placed it back, it didn't drop the trident but it dropped a ton of satisfaction. It was hard difficulty and I had no armor, only blocks and a stone sword.

i sometimes see a bunch of drowned in a shipwreck so maybe you aren't wrong about that theory but the drowned might have just spawned in the shipwreck or somehow got into the shipwreck
It is possible for a drowned to intentionally attack another drowned, but only if the other drowned accidentally attacked that drowned while trying to hit the player. Edit: In most cases, it’s with a trident.
Or if that drowned had a Trident and another drowned walking in front of them and than got hit by the Trident it would attack the drowned with the Trident on purpose.

The best experience I had with a Drowned is that I got to land to run from 2 Drowned, but somehow they came on land too and were going to chase me. But there was also one of those skeletons with a bow and arrow shooting at me while I ran. The skeleton accidentally hit one of the Drowned and they immeditally started attacking the skeleton and killed him. then they killed me, which was not fun, but especially since that was my first time playing Minecraft, it was hilarous seeing them absolutely demolish that skeleton.

Yes, well drowns can attack each other if they accidentally hit one another. I think that because other hostile mobs like zombies and skeletons usually attack each other because of them attacking one another by accident.
But cubey, when im in my worlds on pocket edition, and in the swamp, drowned are EVERYWHERE in the waters, i mean like hundreds of them. Could u look into that plz?
The spawn rate for drowns seems to be out of whack bedrock-wide. It's to the point that it appears to affect the spawn rate for just about any other mob.
I did too, I'm not sure if it's that rare though, because I have gotten 4 tridents from drowned since I live quite close to a river in one of my worlds. I think it's the same chance to drop a trident for any drowned.
When I test myself if Drowned fight me inside the big glass room size 15 & 15 with no water inside but in the ocean. I realize I found myself a friendly Drowned I don't know what I did.
You missed a trick I do with the zombie to drowned conversion. If a zombie has armor or weapons equipped and converts, the armor and weapons pop off in perfect condition.
