You got my subscribe! I'm literally the target audience of your video. I'm currently rocking an AK620, and just recently bought a Frozen Infinity 360. It's not exactly the Notte, but they're pretty close as Thermalright has a bad habit of making redundant SKUs with minor difference between them. As much as I'd like to keep my air cooler (been an HSF user since 2008, and my Hyper 212X is still alive to this day), I just couldn't bear to see my 13700k reach 100 degrees on heavy gaming load.

Thanks for the Review, I bought this cooler from amazon because my 240 MSI MAG CORE aio just took a crap, idle temps at 60-80c ad as soon as I get into VR it starts stuttering and crashing staying at 100c, then thermal throttling and eventually blue screen o death. Glad to see this one can handle the i7 10700K maybe I can overclock it again. I get it this Wed just ordered it on Mon. My build is i7 10700k with Saphire Pulse 6700xt, MSI MPG z490, G.Skill 2x8 D4 3600 Tridend Z Royal, Red Devil 850 80 Gold.
Got it in and installed. Done a quick Cine-bench and it didn't go past 75c.. better than the previous. Gonna do some VR and see how it does, that gets the chip hotttt! lol. @@jimbopcbuilds

I didn’t receive an argb splitter in mine, so I can’t connect the 3 argb cooler, you got 1 when you bought the product? ? I only received the FAN splitter
Being an AMD board there will be 4 holes by each corner of the cpu. Out of the box AMD install a back plate which is held in by 2 black pieces of plastic on the front. You need to remove both black pieces and the back plate will come away easily. I hope that helps / makes sense.
the fact that peerless assasin, 1/2rd the price and taking up less space + more reliable than water cooler is BETTER at cooling as well xd... Good product: but obsolete because of their better alternative

@@user-wq9mw2xz3j It's a shame but the assasin is still bloody good for the price. I would say in the nottes defense, I don't know of another AIO at that kind of price of this kind of quality, so if somebody has their heart set on an AIO then you't can't go wrong with it really.
@@legameur_7976 It depends which CPU you're looking to cool. Also you might want to look at Frozen Edge 360, It;s pretty cheap performs better than the frozen notte.

I want something which can support this cpu with overclock and with enough margin to support a potential new cpu down the road (for exemple Ryzen 7 9800x3d or something like that)
Excellent question. I think tbh you might be better off with the Frozen Edge rather than the notte. But based on what I’ve I think you’ll should be ok with the notte.
I don't have the 240. Obviuosly it'll have less cooling capacity than the 360. Check out season where I test the 360 against a 12900k. Use that as the base and roughly take 10-15% off that. Based on what I've seen with 360 I wouldn't use the 240 on anything too high end.
Good review. I already bought this because how hard can it be to cool a Ryzen 5600x. I should be able to use it next year for a proper AM5 gaming CPU by swapping in some quieter, higher quality fans.
To change it I hooked up the 4 pin RGB connector to one of the headers on my motherboard. For me it then showed up as the header in the motehrboard software.
I don't know for certain as I haven't tested, but based on what I know I think yes. The 7800X3D has reduced clocks so doesn't run too hot compared to others, so I think you'll be good.

@@jimbopcbuilds There are plenty of great AIOs out there. The problem is that most of them are overcharging, and TR proves that again and again. The only other brands I see trying to compete with them are crap brands like SAMA and Draecena. I'm not saying that TR has the best quality necessarily, but they really show us that we're overpaying. At least in the USA!
Yes the pump is away from the block and so is the cable. There is a data adapter if you need to use that. I had a pump header on the motherboard so I connected it to that. Check on your motherboard to see if you have the same.
The adapter is to use sata power rather than connecting it to the motherboard. The carbon wifi boards I’ve used in the past do have a pump header. Check the manual if you’re not sure which one it is.

@@jimbopcbuilds i actually might swap the fans, with the arctic p12 pst pwm argb. As theyre on the highest performing aio the arctic liquid freezer. Since the price kind of hits the fans hard on this one, ill pay the extra 45 dollars on a 3 pack of the argb fans to reduce noise and hopefully increase performance and decrease temps.

I've used earlier versions of both the corsair and NZXT coolers. They were both very solid. Honestly If was goign to choose, I'd go for the Thermalright cooler, but replace the fans.

Hi, I have a question, I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x and I was thinking about getting a Thermalright Frozen Notte, but my friends say that an AIO cooling system for less than €150 is really bad, but according to your video it can keep up very well, so should i get it or get a air cooler ?
I’m about to retest it on a 12900k, but from what I saw it had plenty of capacity on top of the 10700k. I would say though that depending on the silicon lottery the 5800x can be a bit of a toaster oven, so if you don’t want to to wait until I retest I’d go for one of the top performing air coolers like the Cooler Master MA824 Stealth.
I have just installed the frozen notte on teh new test bench. I am running the a burn run to make sure the thermal paste gets spread properly. On this run the frozen notte is hitting around 50db but the temp is hovering around 64-66c. I hope that helps. I'll completing my offical test run later this week once the cooler and paste are properly ready.
No it wasn’t. The thermalright prices bounce around all over the place. What I said was true at the time of filming. Heck they’ve replaced this cooler with another model since I filmed it. If you’re in any doubt go to pc part picker and look at the movement in the price data. I check all prices on Amazon regardless of where I get them from. Btw I buy virtually every cooler which is why I mentioned that they sent this one over.
Too bad you do your testing on an open frame. easier for sure but does not at all show real world results. Makes the entire list useless to actual PC builders.
While I get where you’re coming from, but the aim isn’t to test the coolers individually, it’s to compare them with others in the same environment. With that in mind, all putting them in case will do is add a couple degrees c. Also putting them in a case then makes results specific for that case so same problem applies. So to your point that would be just as useless.
@@jimbopcbuilds I find it frustrating when I get good temps open bench, then once inside a case temps are higher and the overclock needs tweaking again.

It'll easily cool the 5600x. The 10700k I tested it on is hotter than the 5600x.
I want to see the corsair h100i in the chart it will not do good the the price but I'm curious in the results.

Only the lighting is changable. To be fair adding a customizable screen would have bumped up the price a fair bit.

If any cooler comes with pre applied paste I always remove it. I use the same paste with every cooler to keep the variables consistent.

I don't know for certain as I haven't tested, but based on what I know I think yes. The 7800X3D has reduced clocks so doesn't run too hot compared to others, so I think you'll be good.
WelshyTech says the Magic Scenic V2 is better than the Notte. It's even cheaper. Any thoughts?

Yes it’ll be fine. I’ve recently tested it in my upgraded test bench (12900k) and it was fine.

When I stressed it on the 12900k it got a bit loud (as most do) but it didn’t thermal throttle at any stage.

Not a bad plan. The fans will more than likely be quieter as well.
How is the pump noise for you or others here that bought it? I tried one 2 months back but it had horrible pump whine. Maybe a bad unit?

Different cases have different airflow, data would still be useless unless you coincidentally use the same case.
