We did this ride on July 4 ,2023 as a recovery ride after the Marathona Dles Dolomites. It's truly an Iconic and a dream ride for us. I can't Waite for next year to cycle from Bormio and may be cycle the umbrail pass too.

Großartiges Video! Hab‘ es mir zur Vorbereitung immer wieder angesehen! Am 30. Juni bis ich ihn dann gefahren! Leider nur bis Kehre 9 gekommen! Bin dann unsanft zurückgeschickt worden, da der Paß noch gesperrt war!🤷♂️ Am 1 Juni dann komplett gefahren! Genau wie Du’s beschrieben hast! Zu erwähnen wäre vielleicht noch der super Cappu für 2,60€ in der Franzenshöhe! Den Lebenstraum erfüllt! Oben geweint vor Freude!!

Prato is nice but bormio side is way more scenic and harder due to wind.i went up to Refugio Garibaldi at 2845m it has best views ,top of pass is 2760. The iseran is 2762 but it's OK. I know bormio side is harder as I cycled from tirano to bormio,then stelvio,then prate then back up.and down to tirano. What a blast! For me stelvio was my gateway drug in cycling ,I've done so many more including zoncolan.the bormio side is harder, from bormio to the waterfall the gps was 12-14%,it's hard to find a rhythm on bormio side,also this side umbrail to top averages 10.6% at over 2500m elevation so it's hard to get power out. With stelvio spin low gears,grinding will make it harder as it is long and steep.its a dream come true,so iconic. Enjoy

Warum hat dein Video nur 950 Views? Ich finde, das es eines der besten Stelvio-Rennrad-Videos auf RUclips ist. Es gibt einen klasse Eindruck über den Berg. Echt toll! Werde im August erstmalig den Stelvio fahren….ein Abo habe ich auch dagelassen. Weiter so! 👍

War schon zum zweiten Mal auf dem Stelvio, das letzte Mal im September 2019.
Ritzelkombination war 50/34 - 11/32, das ist auch nötig gewesen, weil ich ein Schwergewicht bin und mich sehr viel mehr plagen muss, als manch anderer...
