Back the greys! Heard a lot about Too Darn Hot. He's not bred to stay ... can't see what they fuss was about. Sir Dragonet for me in the Derby. Will be my first and only bet of the year, he looks special.
So a shock winner of this race, Phoenix Of Spain and Jamie Spencer still winning big races. Been around for a long time I think. I thought Too Darn Hot was the big danger but second here. Magna Grecia was nowhere.
First of all, his pedigree is very much stamina orientated. He’s a full sibling to Lah Ti Dar who ran over 1m6f. Also even if he wasn’t bred to stay, this trip was a mile. Hardly “staying” distance.
how come the so called experts didn't give a mention to the winner prior to the race. l backed phoenix of spain because i thought it was the best each way bet by far, considering it had only been beaten a head by magna grecia & by under 2 lengths by too darn hot in their two races. i also backed hello youmzain, won a group 2 race in france, to beat calyx at haydock, because it's form was comparable to the 1-7 shot; unfortunately i didn't do the double. ps, don't be surprised if too darn hot is the best mile/mile & a quarter horse in europe at the end of the season. ps, the irish look like they have a stranglehold over our derby.
james richards Phoenix of Spain is a good horse but for me to darn hot bounced ...Magna Grecia,s run was to bad to be true and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if something came to light
cheers, 'phoenix' looks like he is being upped to a mile & a quarter, much to the relief of 'darn' & 'magna', who look like they will do battle to see who is the best miler, although one feels we have not yet seen the best of 'tdh.' the guineas 3rd, decrypt, looks like an irish derby & possibly a st. leger type. the irish have 3 big guns who may well fill the first 3 places in the english derby, ie, sir dragonet, whose bare form is the best of them, broome & the interesting anthony van dyke; the 2 english horses who finished 2nd & 3rd at lingfield, pablo escobarr & nate the grate, might be worth keeping an eye on at royal ascot & the st. leger respectively.
That's what I said, ,missed the Greenham because of a setback then the English 2000 then it had a hard race in the Dante then rushed out for the Irish Guineas
@@Kevjohno No surprises about today 26th May and a dream day for Aidan O'Brien particularly Hermosa and Magical storming to victory. By the way, Charlton won one of the play off matches. It started badly for them when one of the players passed it to the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper lost concentration and the ball ended up in the net. I have never seen quite like it at Wembley. One of the stadium's freakiest goals.
Kev Johnstone Dubawi v Galileo. No wonder SM is finally buying the Northern Dancer line and btw has seen through SBS as a trainer. Couldn’t train a sheep to eat grass that one.
Probably the best example of backing the odds and not the most likely winner, 30/1 on Betfair

What do you mean he's not bred to stay he's 2 full sisters so mi dar and lah ti dar stay a mile and a half ran in oaks and st leger 1 mile 6

was that aimed at me & is it meant to be a compliment?
Good call! I overlooked him as I thought he'd need the run in a hot renewal. On Qabala today, Sir Dragonet and Madhmoom are my two for the Derby
Gosden has ruined that colt. Ran him too many times as a 2yo, no wonder he got shin splints.
That's what I said, ,missed the Greenham because of a setback then the English 2000 then it had a hard race in the Dante then rushed out for the Irish Guineas
Kev Johnstone Aiden, the genius of Ballydoyle, never rushes them, just lets them come on, and they wonder why he is so successful.
@@lulabellegnostic8402 yep ..unless Gosden knew TDH wasn't going train on as much as some .he is small and didn't grow much over the winter .

Another bent race full of non triers it’s a joke so crooked
Learn to watch a race.
I watched it with my own eyes it’s a disgrace half the jockeys should be banned
Wrong! Your just a bad loser that's all.
