2. The minimal use of instruments, to reinforce the idea of 'back-water town'
3. The rise of emotion in her voice when she says 'let's get out of this town' to show hopefulness at the idea of finding something better

I can relate to this song.All my friends have lost contact with me now.But tbh,i am the one who distance myself from them.I know they're busy with their life,with their partner ,with their work,and with their new friends .Now i am the one who still live in the past.Who still cares about our memories and promises.Another day,another year but i am still here,still the same old me when my friends currently enjoying the best years in their lives.Some of them are getting married, had a fine job and pursuing their degree's.I don't want to be here anymore.I want to get out of this town.

Whenever I got lost in life, I come back to this song and remind myself what I truly want.
When I was in 6th grade, I heard this song for the first time. I listened to it a fair bit and told myself I would play this song again when graduation comes and it’s time for me and the people I grew up with to go our seperate ways. Well, that day is here. And it couldn’t have been more bittersweet 🥲.

The problem with these kinda songs is, they don't reach out to people, like Taylor's or Selena's. They are not played on radio either. If they are, then surely their number of views will increase

I just heard this song in the radio and it made me smile, 'cause it reminded me from my high school years. I (like many of my friends) was busy planning getting out of that town just like the lyrics say: "Nothing ever changes here, I know, Another day, another year, same old, I don't wanna live my life in circles, I just wanna find an empty road". Now about 20 years later, after travelling around/living abroad more than a decade, I am settled and have no rush anywhere.. The future will show, if this is "forever", but at least now: "No hurry anywhere.. No hurry out of this town.." :) !

It's 2022 but I'm only discovering this song. My lover had to go back to school in a foreign country for four years. Before he left, we made it a point to spend as much time as we could together. One day we took a drive to a different district and on our way back home, he gotten me to listen to this song. We played it over and over while singing along. The thing I've learned about change is? Nothing changes if nothing changes. Try something you always wanted to do, start small and keep doing that and then you'll start to eventually change, for the better.
Change is never good unless you make it good. Make change a good thing by changing for the better look at the things that disappoint you or disappointed you in the past and work on changing them. No matter how hard it might seem the more you work on it the more it will change for the better ☺ goodluck buddy
