I had the opportunity to fish in the Amazon twice. once in Brazil and once in Venezuela, both were adventures. also fished a 3 day Bass tournement in the Panama Canal.

The cuda fish is called a Bicuda. The striped bass you have been catching are called Temensis Bass- as they get older they lose the stripes and get the large three bars- they get the biggest out of all the peacock bass
