Hi everyone. It's great to see the video finally blowing up. My newest content is available over on my channel called Theodor LP. youtube.com/@theodorlp99?si=25ogUzeAyD3NBhNt
I mean, I played world at war as a kid and it make me want to join the military... the soviet one 😂 same with red alert 2, that badass intro made me instantly like the soviets. I was a kid, I didn't understand sht as I'm american, but not from the north (romance mf, can you speak it???)
The biggest lie the original mw2 told was Russia being able to invade the whole Europe AND USA at the same time. As a teen playing through the campaigns I genuinely thought that was possible.
@@Porakki tbh russian propaganda is so good that it not only tricked the rest of the world into believing they were unstoppable, it managed to convince even themselves lol
I think another moment that perfectly distills the warped world-view of MW2 is when you're running through a civilian house in the Mexican border mission, and the game tells you to "ADS [at civilians] to de-escalate". DE-ESCALATE?!?!? HOW IS POINTING A GUN AT SOMEONE DE-ESCALATION?!?!?
Most of the time, American-made shooter games are like that. Always painting the good old Western world as the perpetual 'Good Guy' that can do no wrong and everyone else as the backwards savages 'Bad guys' with zero focus to motivations, causes to why they're bad in the first place.
I am an Arabic speaker, and the Arabic dubbing in these games is always so harsh and violent as they tell voice actors to be as aggressive in their speech as possible, making Arabic seem like a guttural, savage language to the audience. Or they straight up market gibberish as Arabic, like wtf.
It was very upsetting, but I followed the whole conflict in Syria. How the west armed the same group it blamed for 9/11. Assad could have lived an easy life in London as a doctor but instead chose to return home to save his people from being overrun by terrorists. I won't even start with the BS from Turkey. For someone the west tried desperately to paint as blood thirsty and careless Assad offered his enemies free bus out of his city, saving tens of thousands of civilians. He kept his word and they were delivered safely as promised. Meanwhile, you look at the US coalition forces doing a similar job across the border clearing out a city and the death toll of soldiers and civilians were in the tens of thousands. It's good to see Syria regained it's freedom and independence in most areas. Hopefully they can solve the problem at the north and the south soon.
@@D64nzAl Assad was NOT a good guy, "painted as a monster by the west" dawg he used chemical weapons on his own citizens and systematic torture to silence political dissidents
@@D64nz As Bashar al Assad said in interviews, and proved many times, he is truly the Peacemaker! And his enemies cover his image in blood. If only the governments of the west knew that it is us, that are at peace, as in syria, for example, even by the border at latakia between türkiye and syria there is peace, there are people friendly to tourists, and there id respect to all religions, whether you are a follower of islam, or Christianity, they are all allowed in Syria, unfortunately after the war which I believe ended a decade ago, the areas other then Damascus aren’t as populated as they once were.
Gotta love how they tried accusing Russia of committing a virtual war crime in the 2019 game that was actually committed by the US in real life. Not propaganda at all.
@@tarro78 that isn't his point. His point is that COD tries its hardest to now show the US as bad guys and even uses events that the US did and twists them, to make it seem like other countries did it; and often makes other countries' characters evil beyond reason. Let's just take a look at Shepherd. He has a reason to be an evil bastard, his whole company was annihilated because of the mistake of his superiors and wants to enact revenge on everyone involved and responsible. Makarov instead is evil and that's just it. There's no explanation why, he is evil beyond any logical reasoning. "He has no rules, no boundaries. He doesn't flinch at torture, human trafficking or genocide".
@@p_filippouz but that is literally the point who russians are Like why Prigozhin evil? Cuz he is evil bro, he is a subhuman itself who likes power and murders Why other russia's military is evil? Mostly cuz they are soviet fanatics itself and making bloody money, okay That is not so far from definition of simple being evil Russia did same things that US and even worse, but lefties only care about US imperialism forgetting other local empires
You made a good point about the private army scapegoat, This is a common trope in military themed media, private armies always turn out bad, but then again, there was a pmc mutiny in Russia not long ago, so...
@@austinwalker2000 he is corrupt in real life too, lol. But it wasn't just advanced warfare i had i mind, plenty of military games use this plotline, mostly because going against an actual country is controversial and they don't want their game banned on these countries.
@@austinwalker2000 I don't think that's the case because the Atlas mercs are portrayed to be ruthless, careless, and aggressive. In the mission, "Captured," many Atlas guards are physical with prisoners, they scream at them, and muder them in cold blood. It's cartoonish villianization so you can hate Atlas and Irons. You could make the argument that they care about their pay, but at least make other Atlas mercs aware of their actions and try to revolt against Irons. They do the same with Shadow Company in the new MWII, but gave some of them a sense of concern. Although, they weren't rethinking their choices because they were disgusted by the needless bloodshed in the town, but only because they betrayed 141 in the process. I just didn't buy that.
Private Armies being bad isn't anything new and a lot of that stems from the fact PMC's have a history of corruption to begin with. It's a common story trope in this case. It's however not one you oughta apply to reality (seriously PMC's don't do the sorta stuff you see in any video games, they are genuinely just contractors who usually pull security.)
@@TheDragonsPit I know it's a common trope, i'm just interested in knowing why that is. Maybe it's because it's less controversial than making a game about striking a real country, similar to making a fictitious country, a scapegoat like i said or something else.
@@austinwalker2000 wow sure gottem there jess how will he live with himself after that one. not everyone needs to play a videogame to watch a video on it. actually i would say they are smarter for doing that. but i guess you wouldve had to question your own question and that would have to take brain power
Just makes you appreciate the original mw2. Even if it did feel like a Michael Bay movie, it's much easier to believe that an American funded and helped a Russian paramilitary organization to start a war he will eventually end.
it was supposed to be American government, not just an American. they changed the ending, allegedly due to request from U.S DoD. Original ending can be seen in one of the leaked alpha builds.
What's your point? It still trying to depict war in a dude-bro light, made by an American company on American ground. It does not devalue the point of the video whatsoever.
I see COD campaigns as Michael Bay movies that don’t really need to make sense. Just blow up stuff, shoot the bad guys and turn off your brain for a little while.
Except Black Ops 3. Campaign was on another level. It has very deep story and lore, but the presentation of it is bad. You need to read so many text, listen to audiologs, read all scrolling text in the start of every mission, decipher some texts e.t.c. that you are losing the "flow" of gameplay.
When I played MW19s campaign I scoffed at the highway of death scene because I thought no one would actually be stupid enough to believe Russia did it. No, people do think that, and they do specifically because Call of Duty used to use actual events and locations in their games. World at War and Black Ops have conditioned people to think COD has some basis in fact.
@@dfmrcv862right and attributing the highway of death to them is still fragrantly, horrifyingly, baffingly incorrect There isn’t even any reason to lie about that atrocity the US straight up is responsible for it
@@viktorthevictor6240 wrong. The highway of death referenced was an engagement against a fighting enemy. The description in the game is closer to what Russia did IRL against Kyiv.
Not only is the politics, jsut absolutely terrible, the writing and delivery of lines somehow get worse each entry to the new modern warfare. Mayes the OG MW3 a Hemingway novel
At least in MW 2019 they had the spec-ops story where Russia and the US worked together to fight AQ similar to how they did after 9-11 but in MW2 even that little bit of nuance is gone. To be fair: It is the perfect representation of how simplistic and downright naive the US sees the world and the people oppising them: Idiots and morons who just hate America because it's "better" than them. In short: "They hate us, 'cause they ain't us" playground-level mentality. No nuance, no reasoning, no higher motives. Literally just sunday cartoon villains with a "real world" paintjob.
The US government killed my Grandfather with agent orange. I love our troops, especially the marines, but never will I ever walk into a recruiting office.
Наконец-то, чел, ты вернулся. Я рад, что единственный человек в Европе, который не верит ТВ, а сам ищет и проверяет информацию и рассказывает правду миру
You’re not wrong I wanted to join the military sense I was a kid but playing the original modern warfare back in the day really sealed the deal for me I ended up in the Marine Corps when I became old enough lol.
I have watched every video on your channel and i still can't get enough. This channel is legit a hidden gem here on RUclips and definitely one of my favorites. I'm positive you'll get more recognition in the near future, as your videos put mainstream channels with hundreds of thousands subs and millions of views to shame, you have my full respect!
Thank you so much, bro. I really appreciate it. I've put my blood, sweat, and tears into making this work, but it's definitely a very uphill battle because RUclips only recommends my videos to 500 people over the span of a year, haha. I actually have some new content on a second channel that I have shared on the community page, and I'll reupload two videos on that page, too, that I deleted from Post Tenebras about a month ago because RUclips just did not promote it either, so hopefully you get to check those two out as well. Every single time I upload a video, I'm always filled with hope, but then that hope quickly turns into despair since it never goes anywhere and the like to view rating isn't even good. I seriously love making videos like these, and I feel like it's my life's calling to make important content, but alas, the RUclips algorithm feels differently about it. None the less, there is definitely more content to come but more in the style of my latest video on the new channel since it's less time-consuming to produce and still gets the message across in a more "RUclipsr" fashion. That being said, though, I am doing quite well for myself thanks to all the skills I have gotten from Post Tenebras, so there is no need to feel too bad for me.😅 Again, thank you so much for your comment it really made my morning, and let's hope that I can get a big viewership on this project one day.
I haven't played CoD ever. However, the "US Army perspective" is such a strongly embedded trope that I fear no one can shield themselves from those in-game depictions, be it the narrative as a whole or some subliminal details like switching a few key words. Imagine a modern military shooter released today that doesn't have the USA as a playable faction. To many people, the USA missing from a game is unimaginable. And THAT is the result of this trope.
In MW2, the USA goverment is the bad guy, they launched a t3rr0r1st attack on russian ground that a russian rebel used to start the world war III The russian president is not depicted as a bad guy, he even wanted to make the peace with the west, but he was captured by the antagonist. I mean, the president Vorchevski was from the political party of the "bad guys" We have various russian allies and even the protagonist of MW3 was a russian, in all the OG MW trilogy we have a clear conception that the russians are not bad people, they are victims of the leaders
Everything you pointed out is correct, but is nothing new to Call of Duty, and they've been there for much longer than in the MW2 reboot. When I played the first Black Ops, I felt the game's narrative was trying to whitewash atrocities that if were committed by anyone else but Americans and NATO forces, would be war crimes. That problem had already been there since World At War, but that game at least just shrugged off carrying flamethrowers and shotguns into war as a necessary evil. But by the events of Black Ops, the Geneva Convention would have already been set in place, so the mission where Mason started in Hue with an incendiary loaded shotgun was a deliberate war crime. Later on in the Kowloon mission, the part where you stuff Daniel Clarke's mouth with broken glass and punch his face repeatedly was made to look like something cool and heroic instead of an act of torture (a war crime under the Geneva Convention). When Weaver gets tortured by Dragovich, or when Bowman gets killed , or in Black Ops 2 when Hudson gets kneecapped by Menendez, the game makes it as something tragic and unspeakably evil, but when you go about slitting throats, burning enemies with flamethrowers and incendiary rounds, or executing soldiers who had already surrendered, it's heroic and justified. Hell, in the game you commandeer a Hind and bomb the Laotian countryside as rogue operatives because you stumbled upon the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Even if that were actually true, for two soldiers (even as black op agents) to level entire villages without being given direct orders would make it a war crime as defined by the United Nations (Extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly). Black Ops essentially revisionist history to make the Vietnam War, and consequently the B-29 bombings in Laos and Cambodia look like a just war. The responses to my observations vary from 'it's just a game, chill out,' to 'you don't know the real history or the grim reality of war', or that 'it's a Mature rated game, so adults playing the game would know it's a work of fiction (while completely ignoring the fact that multiplayer is essentially filled with kids)'. It's very hard to have real discourse about COD's deeply skewed and biased narrative because people are so attached to it over the decades that any critique of it, no matter how valid is seen as a personal attack on them and their values.
@@jehehehedias5881 absolutely. The campaign in Black Ops and the original Modern Warfare trilogy were peak COD. That's why it's hard to have a conversation about its narratives without offending someone. A game can be great and still have very problematic biases that can skew the perspective of the people playing them.
This is why I loved the ending of Black Ops 3, where you realize you have been a pawn of the western spy agency and get to eliminate them all in the final mission with help from the Russian army. It was very satisfying ending the smug discount Robert Redford. 😂 Best ending to a COD game ever! 😊
@@posttenebras I am still amazed they went for it to be honest. I have to wonder what goes on in the offices, that they wrote this alternative, because they were a lot bolder with the earlier games IMO. If you know No Russian, you know. It might be they got tired of having their hands tied and were only allowed to include it as a bonus ending? I don't know. I never chose the other option.
The funny thing is despite how much this game sucks up to the US, the US military/defense industry wants absolutely nothing to do with this franchise. Every uniform, unit patch, weapon, and vehicle is wrong. When the military was actually involved in the production of these games that wouldn’t be the case.
Iirc there's like some Californian laws that doesn't allow them to use real guns names and make accurate models That's probably we have that Aks74U machine pistol thing and the "C9" in Bo6 now
@@prodigy-hu6dywhat makes you think US Gov would be interested in actually helping game development, helping with accuracy? they nudge them slightly to make the plot to be as much pro US as possible, nothing else. also it's not military guys. it's DoD
Yeah, Graves was definitely the most charismatic character in the game. The developers also just redconned him back into the game, I'm guessing his popularity is why.
In reality , the number in recruits for US army had soared up after MW 2 (2009 ). But the latest ones are sheepish. They may be the reason why US is losing potential recruits.
8:30 myself being an Army Infantryman, Private Military/Security Contracting was something I considered. At least, I didn't like having to shoot at the Shadow Company guys because most of their combatants would've been veterans of either the SOF community, or infantrymen with multiple combat deployments. I'm also confused on the modern American consensus on this topic - we support veterans, and people usually thank me for my service whenever I'm out in uniform in public, but PMCs are usually seen as the bad guys. I mean, these guys are vets who served and sacrificed, and 90% of thier job is just watching a base, an oil field, or a rich dude.
the mission No Russian has aged so well, most Americans love playing that, hence why they removed it in the remake because we was supposed to hate Russia lol
@@FlamespeedyAMVI've seen people saying that "the no russian mission from modern warfare 2 needs to happen" due to the war in the ukraine, I regularly watch a fellow canadian youtuber called argent(argent templar) who's a catholic reactionary dissident and a few months back he put out a video talking about how most people aren't capable of critical thought(and possibly don't have souls) and that they just do whatever the media, government, or someone else in a position of authority tells them(the NPC meme basically) and that if they were told to unalive random russian people in the west they would do it, looking at what alot of people say about other people that the progressive neoliberal establishment doesn't like(trump supporters, russians, unvaccinated, trucker protestors, etc) I think that assessment is entirely accurate
In MW3, the president Vorchevksi was part of the "bad guys" from COD 4 However, despite of beeing on the same political party as Makarov, he wanted peace
russia in COD is not a propaganda - its undestatement. You see bad and vile russian soldiers in COD? Oh, be sure that in reality they are tenfold worse.
It was just inspired by the real events aesthetics, the games never tried to sell it as real history. This is literally a talking point from russian propaganda TV where the morons were telling their brainwashed populatin the US government "made a video game to rewrite history" or something.
12:25 "Because now it's someone else's turn to die for American hegemony." They've been throwing black men at their global enemies for the past century and a half, at least. The "Indian Wars", WW1, and the Vietnam war being of particular note. This is straight out of the colonialism textbook, particularly the chapter on what the Victorians called "the Martial Races".
Fool that’s because US recruitment with whites has declined over the years because of years fighting a pointless war. Now the government is scrapping for recruits because the current target demographics have more insensitive to join for citizenship and self serving benifits.
The old black ops games had ex cia agent on the team, the new ones doesnt. This explains everything, they dont have such great writing and the propaganda hidden in
My critique on this new MW Reboot is that it's absolute British Power fantasy trip with blackwashed Gaz and msulim woman of color Farah. You would HATE the MW2023 campaign because it's absolutely so boring and they killed off Soap for shock value. I'm still playing it ONLY For the Multiplayer, never touching that boring cringy campaign again unless I wanted to get some trophies. The way this game makes the main characters look like super heroes and tries to make the American government as saints is fuckin gay. I love my country but we're not innocent either. And like you said, this game is propaganda to recruit young masses into the military. But because the military recruitment is so low now, I may like to blame this lame game for it.
Farrah’s rebels are definitely more based around the Kurdish fighters who actually had women in their ranks and they fought in Iraq and Syria against ISIS. Also, Iranians have definitely (unofficially) sided with most terrorist organizations in the Middle East that fought against the US including ISIS and Al Queda factions in Iraq. The materials from the majority of IEDs in Iraq were materials that originated in Iran.
Anyone who thinks Iran has ever sided with Al-Qaeda or ISIS has had their ability to think completely neutralised by people like Ben Shapiro and Fox News. You have to be basically handicapped to think that Iran has ever worked with Al-Qaeda or ISIS which are both CIA and Mossad black ops.
Iran had not sided with Al Qaeda nor ISIS they are enemies. Iranians being Shia are seen as the #1 baddie to extreme sunni groups and were often targetted. It was Iranian backed militias fighting alongside the Iraqi government against ISIS. There was even controversy around some of these Iranians operating Iraqi Army M1 Abrams tanks bought from the US
You're high if you think Iran would support ISIS and Al Qaeda, those are sunni islamist groups hellbent on shia extermination, Iran is a shia majority country Their sponsoring of Hezbollah and other organizations is true, but it's a bad faith argument to blame Iran for ISIS Why don't you americans blame the actual ISIS sponsors and collaborators? Namely the KSA and Qatar, and Al sisi All of whom have been strongly supported by the US Also IED materials from iran is a long shot, it's literally in the name, IED, not hard for isis members to get bolts and explosive materials from neighboring syria or smuggled thro jordan and KSA
No, Iran hasn’t allied with ISIS or Al Quaeda at all, they hate each other. Iran is Shiite, AQ and ISIS are radical Sunni. These are two opposing sects of Islam and they hate each other to death.
Don't forget, the CoD 4: Modern Warfare starts with nothing else than "civil war in Russia, nationalists vs federal government and 15000 nuclear warheads. Another day in the office". Wouldn't certain politicians LOVE to see that manifest in real life?
Why would they not? Filling kids with "patriotism" and "we are hero, you are bad guys" will increase chances of recruitment, or even straight up misinformation on the internet, i have saw lots of people online still believe US is the good guy in EVERY wars
The campaign was next level and cinematic. Other than that everything went really downhill because they decided to implement hidden codes within the game such as skill based damaged. That and other hidden features destroyed the franchise
Totally underrated video. Ppl tend to underestimate or even ignore games and other forms of art as a means of propaganda, while they definitely shape opinions of whole societies. Often it is capitalist propaganda which creates false enemies to distract the working class from the real ones - the bourgeoisie which underpays everyone to enrich itself. For example, Russians are usually dehumanized in American art (Rambo 3, BF Bad Company 2 and so on; they want to kill and conquer just because they're bad). Now, with Russo-Ukrainian they saw the seeds of that propaganda - lots of people believe all Russians are just animals and ignore all facts and common sense. But we're all ppl living on the same planet, we need to cooperate to improve the world we live in. It's impossible when we segregate each other by color or origin.
Remember the developers just do this just to not get copyrighted/sued because in Bo2 both Noriega and the family of Jonas Savimbi sued cod for using names and exact character without permission and portraying them as barbaric with them reasoning why cod changes names and the things they do.
It seems like, as someone else I saw say a while ago, the Mexican part of the MW2(2022) is designed to garner support for a future intervention/Invasion in Mexico. We can see this with the unauthorized incursion of US paramilitary(Shadow company) into Mexican soil, attacking local authorities, and then leveling an entire Mexican town with an AC130. And that last incident is brushed off even though irl it would have caused a massive diplomatic incident. A very disingenuous thing the game does is that it portrays the Mexican military as “slightly tougher” cartel henchmen, when in reality they are the only organization In Mexico that is actually combating the cartels. While the “enemy of the us teams up with cartels concept has some truth behind it(China sending fentanyl components to some Mexican cartels to distribute in America) the way it’s presented here is completely irrational.
For the most part, people want to play a great game at the end of the day, so they can unsee the propaganda and enjoy the campaign by putting their brains on autopilot. It was only after I discovered your video, I could see through the subtle references presented in the game that were clever attempts of showing the US army as harbingers of justice and saviours fighting in the frontline, but they do have their fair share of problems, which more or less goes on to show that the world is not rosy and cosy as shown. Nuff said, you guys are smart to see all these.
@Alexander-nc4vy Gets closer to socialism everyday. Neoliberalism is a stain on the western world that needs to be abolished. The markets are the only thing that matters.
People need to understand call of duty is fiction, its not real politics. why have the game be as acurate as possible? If you want to be in a military setting with real geo-politics, go enlist.
That’s the problem though they try to add real parts of history to a piece of fiction which just doesn’t work, I think black ops works so well because it’s so over the top that nobody would take it like actually history. While on the other hand mw2 claims to be realistic which it isn’t black ops never claimed to be realistic or accurate which is why it works
Propaganda doesnt need to be in this universe or fiction purely Eleptical propaganda existed, exists and will exist as long as it gives you message and impression Who even can tell you bioshock games were a literal authors projection of his ethnogenetical shortcomings on what he hates Who can manage to notice rdr2 is basically as same as modern cod games doing same eleptical well poisonings trough tropes and eleptical projections Who can notice that ubisofts far cry 6 and other games is projection of the shortcomings of communism on the funny sticks ideology Who can notice the legend of zelda games are basically a masonic games especially majoras mask being a literal masonic theatre play and opera made into videogame Propaganda is about message and suggestion to make you at least compliant not making you to turn 180

The Soleimani general was responsible for: During the Iraq War, the Quds Force oversaw the production and mass smuggling into Iraq of improvised explosively formed penetrator (EFP) roadside bombs, which, according to American estimates, were used by the Iraqi insurgency to cause 500 deaths and over 21,000 injuries to American soldiers. Also in 2011 he tried to organize assassination of the Saudi Arabia ambassador in the USA. What a nice and innocent guy, right? Totally didn't deserved that missile. /s

All of this I totally agree with, except the part about the Foreign backed militia which is farrahs group. That Militia was based off of the YPG/YPJ kurdish revolution movement of Rojava and they are a progressive multi cultirual and feminist movement, considering the fact that the YPJ is an all womens brigade. Not only to add more fact to the reality, when shepard designate Farrahs group as terrorists that was also a real event, The YPG and YPJ have connections to the PKK who are a socialist revolution force in Turkey and Iran and Turkey being a NATO ally was furious with the US support with the YPG for its affiliations. So in 2017 we withdrew funding and military support and after the Raqqa campaign the YPG and YPJ were left alone to fight the remnants of ISIS. When Alex volunteers to fight for them this was also a massive nod to the Lions of Rojava brigade which was primarily made up of western and eastern volunteers. So yes ALOT of propoganda but that was proabably one of the biggest mistakes in your video.
This video omits a lot of things, he glosses over the fact that Soleimani is responsible for half the Iraqi death toll by supplying weapons and IEDs to insurgents during the GWOT. He does assist fighting ISIS but was strictly Iran interest as Iraq is a trading partner. Also he was cozied up with Hezbollah (Enemy of UN nations) and the game accurately predicted the retaliation albeit in a different way. At worse, this game is just badly written.

Imagine a CoD style game with modern graphics that actually tried following real world history/politics? It would make the USA look like the bad guy. Oh wait!
Misleading information from this video: 1. The “Highway of Death” and the retreating soldiers. The Iraqi army was withdrawing from Kuwait as they couldn’t hold a strategic or tactical position from the air campaign the US and its allies had launched. While its true they were “retreating” that doesn’t mean they were unarmed or peaceful. The convoy had several tanks and anti-aircraft vehicles. This may be frowned upon, but the convoy was a valid target in the eyes of the Geneva Convention. (This is an edit of my point because people missed what I said. The Highway of Death did NOT have civilians in it. Every death was an enemy combatant, and was a valid target under the rules of the Geneva Convention) 2. Qasem Soleimani. Qasem Soleimani had been linked to several attacks on US service members and was a huge part why the US and Iran had horrible relations with each other. Similar to the Highway of Death incident, it had reasons behind it, and the attack itself didn’t include a massive explosion as seen in MW2022, and instead used an AGM-114R-9X which replaced the warhead inside the missile with blades. This missile was used go reduce casualties. Another issue with the content of this video is the claim that Iran doesn’t fund terror groups. While you only mentioned ISIS and Al- Qaeda specifically, you miss several other groups that are prominent in the middle east. Some of which include HAMAS and Hezbollah. By painting Soleimani as someone who was “against terror groups” you are misleading your viewers into believing that Iranian generals and chiefs of staff are fighting against terrorism. 3. Link between Cartels and Jihadist groups Hezbollah and the Los Zetas cartel have had a connection with each other and the reason behind it was for extra funding to Hezbollah. Iran bankrolls and equips Hezbollah, as stated prior, so they too have a partial hand in this. You claim that “they would not do this” at 5:44 but this is false, especially considering the document I found was from 2014. 4. Avengers Level Lie. You made the claim that the older Call of Duty games don’t make characters seem like Hollywood heroes, but this is again misleading. In Black Ops 2, the same game you used as an example, the main character David Mason is leading a special forces team across the entire globe to catch one man who’s sole mission is to take out the US forever. David Mason is shown to be someone who is morally just in everything he does, and he only kills bad guys, while the enemy factions have no issue killing civilians. The flashback scenes you used as a point arent even completely justified as the reason behind many of the “crazy” things done by Frank Woods, not the US Government as a whole, is done because he was tortured by the main antagonist of the story. Again, this is picking and choosing for the sake of building your argument. 5. Russia and Jihadists. You are correct by saying Russia doesn’t fund Jihadist groups. However, Russia does not fund Jihadists groups as the Wagner PMC and other groups are currently fighting them in West Africa. They dont have a moral reason why they arent funding them, its a practical reason. Whats worse is how Wagner PMC is committing crimes of war in countries like Mali. 6. Hassan is a stand in. Hassan, in Modern Wafare 2022, is a stand in for Anti-American sentiment that was being spread by Iran shortly after the attack on Soleimani. The Ayatollah vowed for take revenge against the US, the president of Iran vowed revenge too. Pretty much anyone who was part of the Iranian government vowed to take revenge. I have a feeling that instead of painting the entirety of Iran as bloodthirsty soldiers, they opted to make one character an extremist who wanted to fight the US, but I have no proof of this.
"moral reasons" "practical reasons" what are you, a kid. You think the good guys really do things for some "moral reasons", not just for the sake of realpolitik, Israeli bribes or defense contractors😁. The USA was a major creator of the modern global terrorism, they were growing it in Afghanistan in the 1980s just to undermine their competition. And 95% acts of horror done by countries and armies have copes and explanations why gorillions of civillians had to be yeeted. You can always find a copout unless it's the other side doing it. ZOG people are crazy
So does this mean mean russian forces mercilessly striking retreating Ukrainian convoys into ashes and assassinating leaders is completely ok for example? Also you're being very vague about iranian ties to cartel groups, I know iranian government is very corrupt but how exactly do they benefit from allying with organizations as wretched as the cartels?
Just want to share my 2 cents 1. While technically valid, the total disregard for the civillians is still a disgusting fact, so many of them died, while the US fully knew about it, for yet another pointless resource war like so many others. 2. Not to knowledgeable on the guy but the first thing that popped in my mind about killing US service menbers is the fact they shouldn't even be there in the first place, being the reason the Middle east is such a mess starting with their borderline evil actions when they funded and trained the Mujahadeen in the 1980 just because they wanted to stop the Soviets from supporting the communist leadership in afghanistan and gaining influence 3. I don't know much about that so i have no comment 4. Yeah totally agree with you there, ever since WaW cod has been a Michael Bay level pro us War story, with tons of hero characters, bro the ending of BO 1 literally has american warships while jets fly over and a rock riff plays like how on the nose you wanna be 😂 5. When it comea to dirty work, Wagner is the pawn they move for sure 6. Yeah who knows
@@muntadar1655technically, yes the Russians have rights to attack retreating combatants, civilians are a completely different story. No attacks should be carried out on civilians. Also the tie with Iran to Cartels is extremely vague on purpose. As i stated, Iran funds Hezbollah, Hezbollah had ties with Los Zetas, therefore Iran has some tie to Los Zetas as they funded Hezbollah.
@@СергейБелозеров-ц2х global terrorism has been a thing since before the 1980s and in other areas of the world like the Philippines and South and West Africa. The Olympics in i think 1976 were attacked by Palestinian terrorists who took Israeli athletes hostage.
Let's be honest though. The old trilogy and old cods were far better propaganda. Like the trilogy dissed the U.S. military and CIA hard. And Black Ops did the same with the CIA but less. Even hinting to a JFK cia conspiracy theory. Like in the trilogy you fight against the enemies of the U.S. but "Justfiedly" because they are in civil wars and such. And later deceived. Meanwhile here "Russians bad, because bad, all of them though minus those who betray their country and join us." Meanwhile the other antagonists were true villains and the Kremlin was always somehow uninformed. And yeah, Black Ops II might be the best when it comes to not being propagandistic.
Yeah I also like the old ghost more. The old ghost sounds like a loyal companion that’ll always be by your side and help you in every situation. The new ghost sounds like the old ghost got resurrected and is out for revenge lol. He sounds fine imo. But his behavior and the way he operates is nothing like the old ghost. The new ghost is like a tough lone wolf mythological figure. How he doesn’t trust anybody (he says it himself or implies it) and is always looking out for himself first.

Why do that when you can just buy the original COD MW3 from 2011 and play that instead. It's a whole lot more fun and so much less hassle.
I think another moment that perfectly distills the warped world-view of MW2 is when you're running through a civilian house in the Mexican border mission, and the game tells you to "ADS [at civilians] to de-escalate". DE-ESCALATE?!?!? HOW IS POINTING A GUN AT SOMEONE DE-ESCALATION?!?!?
its a fucking game mechanic dude, but the idea is you'll scare them and they back down, how are you so stupid to not understand this?
They should've said "For compliance" rather than "de-escalate"..
They don’t recognize people with brown skin as being people. So they throw out human psychology for the fun of power and mania.

@@austinwalker2000 he is corrupt in real life too, lol. But it wasn't just advanced warfare i had i mind, plenty of military games use this plotline, mostly because going against an actual country is controversial and they don't want their game banned on these countries.
@@austinwalker2000
I don't think that's the case because the Atlas mercs are portrayed to be ruthless, careless, and aggressive.

We just now realizing COD was elaborate military propaganda.
Only now? Not like 14 years ago?
@@a6pukoc113 the american (✡) slop bubble was too strong they only realised now 😂
I haven't played CoD ever.
In MW2, the USA goverment is the bad guy, they launched a t3rr0r1st attack on russian ground that a russian rebel used to start the world war III
The russian president is not depicted as a bad guy, he even wanted to make the peace with the west, but he was captured by the antagonist. I mean, the president Vorchevski was from the political party of the "bad guys"
We have various russian allies and even the protagonist of MW3 was a russian, in all the OG MW trilogy we have a clear conception that the russians are not bad people, they are victims of the leaders

>Use an american perspective go show how soldiers are biased

They've been throwing black men at their global enemies for the past century and a half, at least.
But black men wanted to because in ww2 were not going to let them
holy moly, it all makes sense now, thanks for the video!
Glad to hear it!
No, that's because of how there's few wars actually being fought by the US, and them just funding other nations.
@@r7ahtesham885 Who gives a fuck about third world countries being America's Pawns?
There was even controversy around some of these Iranians operating Iraqi Army M1 Abrams tanks bought from the US
You're high if you think Iran would support ISIS and Al Qaeda, those are sunni islamist groups hellbent on shia extermination, Iran is a shia majority country
Their sponsoring of Hezbollah and other organizations is true, but it's a bad faith argument to blame Iran for ISIS
Why don't you americans blame the actual ISIS sponsors and collaborators? Namely the KSA and Qatar, and Al sisi
All of whom have been strongly supported by the US
Also IED materials from iran is a long shot, it's literally in the name, IED, not hard for isis members to get bolts and explosive materials from neighboring syria or smuggled thro jordan and KSA
I want whatever you’re smoking fed boy
No, Iran hasn’t allied with ISIS or Al Quaeda at all, they hate each other.
Iran is Shiite, AQ and ISIS are radical Sunni. These are two opposing sects of Islam and they hate each other to death.
A very well-researched video. I need to be recommended more videos like this.
Awesome, thank you!
Don't forget, the CoD 4: Modern Warfare starts with nothing else than "civil war in Russia, nationalists vs federal government and 15000 nuclear warheads. Another day in the office". Wouldn't certain politicians LOVE to see that manifest in real life?
Dude , how you said Salamo Alaikom , color me impressed …
Why would the CIA do this?
Why would they not? Filling kids with "patriotism" and "we are hero, you are bad guys" will increase chances of recruitment, or even straight up misinformation on the internet, i have saw lots of people online still believe US is the good guy in EVERY wars
The campaign was next level and cinematic. Other than that everything went really downhill because they decided to implement hidden codes within the game such as skill based damaged. That and other hidden features destroyed the franchise

I'm just really happy it finally got some views
This video is great, I hope the algorithm picks it up
Totally underrated video.
That beggining already made me hate the game
Remember the developers just do this just to not get copyrighted/sued because in Bo2 both Noriega and the family of Jonas Savimbi sued cod for using names and exact character without permission and portraying them as barbaric with them reasoning why cod changes names and the things they do.
You're a G for keepin it real. More content like this.
It has been years, where is the invasion?

For the most part, people want to play a great game at the end of the day, so they can unsee the propaganda and enjoy the campaign by putting their brains on autopilot. It was only after I discovered your video, I could see through the subtle references presented in the game that were clever attempts of showing the US army as harbingers of justice and saviours fighting in the frontline, but they do have their fair share of problems, which more or less goes on to show that the world is not rosy and cosy as shown. Nuff said, you guys are smart to see all these.

Actual real life people thought the highway of death incident was done by Russia cause of MW2019…..people are guillible.

Who can manage to notice rdr2 is basically as same as modern cod games doing same eleptical well poisonings trough tropes and eleptical projections
Who can notice that ubisofts far cry 6 and other games is projection of the shortcomings of communism on the funny sticks ideology
Who can notice the legend of zelda games are basically a masonic games especially majoras mask being a literal masonic theatre play and opera made into videogame
Propaganda is about message and suggestion to make you at least compliant not making you to turn 180

The Soleimani general was responsible for:
During the Iraq War, the Quds Force oversaw the production and mass smuggling into Iraq of improvised explosively formed penetrator (EFP) roadside bombs, which, according to American estimates, were used by the Iraqi insurgency to cause 500 deaths and over 21,000 injuries to American soldiers.
Also in 2011 he tried to organize assassination of the Saudi Arabia ambassador in the USA.

Oh wait!
Misleading information from this video:
Every death was an enemy combatant, and was a valid target under the rules of the Geneva Convention)
3. Link between Cartels and Jihadist groups
Hezbollah and the Los Zetas cartel have had a connection with each other and the reason behind it was for extra funding to Hezbollah.
Just want to share my 2 cents
1. While technically valid, the total disregard for the civillians is still a disgusting fact, so many of them died, while the US fully knew about it, for yet another pointless resource war like so many others.
2. Not to knowledgeable on the guy but the first thing that popped in my mind about killing US service menbers is the fact they shouldn't even be there in the first place, being the reason the Middle east is such a mess starting with their borderline evil actions when they funded and trained the Mujahadeen in the 1980 just because they wanted to stop the Soviets from supporting the communist leadership in afghanistan and gaining influence
3. I don't know much about that so i have no comment
4. Yeah totally agree with you there, ever since WaW cod has been a Michael Bay level pro us War story, with tons of hero characters, bro the ending of BO 1 literally has american warships while jets fly over and a rock riff plays like how on the nose you wanna be 😂
5. When it comea to dirty work, Wagner is the pawn they move for sure
6. Yeah who knows
@@muntadar1655technically, yes the Russians have rights to attack retreating combatants, civilians are a completely different story. No attacks should be carried out on civilians.

Meanwhile here "Russians bad, because bad, all of them though minus those who betray their country and join us."
Meanwhile the other antagonists were true villains and the Kremlin was always somehow uninformed.
