Can you imagine one day Taylor will be standing in Carol King’s place and giving out the award to a new generation of artists.

Okay so people arguing over Beyonce Taylor and Rihanna winning this award. People, this award is given to the artist of the decade. Not the businesswoman of the decade. Taylor writes “ALL” her songs period. Her biggest focus is music. Not endorsements. Even Jennifer Lopez is a singer making hits but you don’t see her with this. And Taylor has done a lot of behind the curtains philanthropic work. These awards are given to people who deserve them. I’m not a Rihanna or Beyonce hater, but come on, she deserves what she deserves. Let’s all not be another puny Kanye in the comments. And btw, Kanye did not need to come in between Taylor, she was already grabbing home awards before he came along.

She's presented Artist of the Decade award and half of her speech is thanking Carole King for how she has helped Taylor become the songwriter that she is today. This is why I love her so damn much. Her character is built from being a humble person who knows how to stand up for what's right as well as appreciating everything that helped her do so.
