The rear spring in the automatic punch is much too strong for normal shop use. I replaced it with a spring the same size and length with a slightly smaller wire size. The Starrett wire diameter is .058 and the replacement diameter is .055. It made a big difference in operating pressure without much change in punch size.
I got one a week or so ago. I unscrewed it at the lower end some things fell out. I can't make it work maybe the sequence of the parts I put back.. I need to find some part pictures. Nice video. Thanks. .

Starrett is expensive for tools BUT they work and there are none better.
Yes they are expensive but any good tool worth having ain't cheap.. thanks for watching
I have one of these. Easier to press with two hands. It's not a light duty tool.
