How to work this was not clear to me. No one said how to work it the THOUSANDS of reviews, and there were no instructions. I use items similar that you need to cock and then press a button to release it. It did not occur to me to just press it. And it is hard to press this onto anything since mine is missing the red handle, it takes a lot of pressure and is awkward to use. I usually can figure things out quickly but this item had me stumped, lol.

Actually, from a machinist's perspective, using a center drill (bit) after center punching is more of an assurance that your bits won't skate on you.
