I feel like I have to watch your videos over and over again to actually get your strategies in my head lol. You make it sound super simple but when I'm in the game I start to forget
Keep drilling the concepts into your head while at the table. Stay uber focused. It's SO easy to lose your focus and forget to execute, it actually takes a lot of discipline to do it for hours at a time, hand for hand. Most people can play decent poker for a lil bit, but most start declining after 2 hours. Why is that? Lack of discipline and not reading the room. It's when you are card dead after 3 hours, when your big PP keep getting run down, when you are missing all your draws, etc........THAT is the true test of a good poker player.
I want to thank you. Yesterday I watched this video, plus 4 others. I then went and played my local national pub poker league tourney, that I play every Tuesday and Thursday (microstakes £5 freezeout) I usually do ok, but end up missing out, just making final table, or just missing out (36 runners last night), I usually play too many hands out of position. Yesterday I was 100% disciplined, folded more hands than ever before, was far more aggressive when I had a hand, changed how I played v the good players, and the bad players. I took the tourney down, without making a single mistake over the 4 hours. I will now watch several more of your videos.
@@BlackRain79PokerMy state frowns on gambling; the nearest casino is in the next state an hour away and it usually takes 1-2 hours to get on a table, so changing tables or leaving and coming back the next day is not always easy. Do you recommend any online cash sites that either don't care where you're from or don't care if you use a VPN? I've looked into WPTGlobal and GGPoker but neither seem to be available in the US.
Discipline is the key. Over 40 years playing. When Im disciplined I win. The wins make me confident, I start to beleive my own hype, I lose. I return to discipline, I win.
Well described. The story why betting also is so dangerous . By winning we elevate our ego and tend to take more risks. The amount of high level poker players that have nothing left after winning millions is shocking.
Good stuff man glad there a guy that doesn’t think he knows everything but clearly knows all the good fundamentals and shares them with the average players 🎉
#4 is extremely important in live poker. If you play against familiar regs alot you can learn their tendancies and play styles. You can make player dependent decisions based on if a perceived tight player raises you. It can save you a ton of money making a big correct fold.
Between you and daniel ngreannu i have improved alot but when someone bets over 60% of both youre BBs should you fold even if you have a straight draw or flush draw? Because this has become a normal thing ive seen lately aswell as reraising a bet on the flop and ive gone to SD and won but they show they had nothing, are these bluffs or just crazy because sometimes i can get in my in my iwn head that they are going to do it and have the nutz, so what advuce would you give?
One of the best plays I've had recently was pocket As and one on the board. A straight was out there and i just had the feeling i shouldn't call, I ended up winning that night.
Dear Nathan, The easiest way to understand the dynamics of poker is to download your free poker ranges for first raise in and go to equilabs insert your range for say cutoff and insert the generic ranges for the other positions put in any flop type ( rainbow disconnected for example) and run 100 million games. Look at the results and click on any result. it will suddenly make sense, 3 of a kind for example.. you will only have 3 of a kinds (jacks for example) if you have some of them in your range (decause you didnt fold them) like in AJ or JT. Everything I have been reading and watching on you tube and your most excellent advice became clear in an epiphany. I get it. It suddenly makes sense. Thanks Nathan
Can you make a video on when to walk/ optimal time to play?? Too often I’ve been up 500+ and I’ll keep telling myself “I’ll leave after I win 100 more” to lose a monster pot be on tilt and leave with nothing. Maybe a video on expectation management… cheers love your content!
#6) I definitely re raise with K9 K8 K7 suited as a bluff depending on positioning and who’s in the pot + original raise amount. It’s worked out for me more often than not but I still agree with the point you made here #5) personally I usually will end up check raising on the turn but getting your chips in there on the flip is good too
I mean #6 point is to not play out of position calling 3 bet with a mediocre hand. As it's point playing K9, K8, K7 suited or not is just a terrible way to play. At least KQ, KJ is better because if you're out kicked, and if they get two pair, you actually have an out to get to a straight vs having K9, K8, K7 suited where if you dont get two pair or the a way to the flush, you essentially wasted money.
His point isn't about the flip. Check raising on the flop is a great way to control the hand and also to build up the pot. This also tend to put in your opponent's head to try and bluff the river if they miss. Doing it on the turn, you miss out to build a pot. The turn could have given your opponent more outs. It allows your opponent to be in control of the hand more and you have less information if your opponent calls your check raise on the tune and a shove on the river. Your opponent would actually tend to check on the river if they didn't face a check raise on the turn. One of my favorite moves when I flop nuts, is to check raise flop and check on the turn. This kind of move really throws off your opponent and makes them think you actually didnt hit the flop and are on a draw trying to end the hand on the flop with a semi bluff with the turn giving you nothing. So if you have the nuts on the flop and the turn and river still have you on the nuts, this more often induces bluffs and a polarizing bet would also have your opponent more often call with their bluff catcher.
I really enjoy your advice. I have been playing for years and enjoy the game so much. I might be only one or two steps ahead of a fish. But this Boring lesson tips has been the most informative in its simplicity. All the best
It is really amazing and interesting the different advice you get from different coaches. There are some suggestions here that Johnathan little would very much disagree on. But a lot of it has a lot to do with the stakes youre playing in. Even low/micro. Micro online $10 games 5/10 is very different from 1/2
6:50 I can not tell you how many times I've had pocket Aces or kings at Family Poker Night, and my brother or nephew hits three of a kind 2's or 9's. They'll raise me fairly aggressive thinking I'll take their bait.
I have a question, if i have like pocket 5s or lower and i see people going all in before my turn, im better off folding right? players prolly have higher pockets? Or a high range
@@mrdeewy4536No. Even if they don’t have a pair, if they’ve gone all in, 55 will probably be behind after the flop. Any higher pair beats you, any of the cards higher than 5 that pairs beats you. I think small and medium pairs lose their value completely once someone has raised big in front of you. You’re basically relying on hitting one of the two remaining 5s. Obviously depends on the variables.
Do you typically have a 3 buy-in limit for a poker session or is it variable for you? As in, do you have a daily buy-in limit that you hold yourself to or how do you determine what you plan to play with each session?
It means that you check in hope someone would bet and then u bet more, raise on top of the opponents bet. If that makes sense. You can do it before flop, or on the flop etc
No. It means when you check on the flop, turn or river and raise when they bet. He wants you to check/raise as soon as you have something good like a set on the flop. Obviously you can only do that when you’re out of position. Otherwise he would be telling you to 3 bet in position.
remember, orphan pots need love also, i need five starting hand charts for a sixmax ring game … my range is narrow in the lojack and widens in the HJ/CO/BU/SB. likewise, i need eight starting hand charts for a ninemax game
sorry i'm confused at tip 4 he says bet cause you think have strongest hand but how can you know you have strongest hand when someone can have a king hand? sorry if something obvious i miss i am new player
extremely important: make your losing sessions short, make your winning sessions as long as possible. a lot of people do this other way around, they spiral out when losing, and they "protect" their wins by cutting profitable sessions short.
I played poker at Laughlin on the weekend when the fish were playing and made money , but when I played on Monday against the regular players I could quickly see the difference that they were better players and would only brake even or loose.
In another video I believe you said someone shouldn't quit too early for the day to psychologically "book a win", because poker is about long term performance and your day-to-day outcomes matter little or none on the grand scale, so long as you're always playing in a way which will trend toward earnings. Does that contradict your recommendation to quit on a day that isn't going well? Is it recommended solely because of the psychological factors bringing your game down? If someone is still level-headed taking the losses, would you still call it quits?
I think that this video was aimed for the very specific mistakes that he considered to be of most importance to players who make them (noobs). I was also going to mention that he forgot to talk about winning when villain has coolers, which is what will also happen using this strategy. He could've talked about how to play those pots when it's not against a fish, but a reg or something. But I guess you can't give it all away in one video lol.
Go home. It means it's not your day. You hit at the lowest of your variant. As sets shouldn't be losing more than 40% of the time you flop set. If you lose more than 3x of flopping sets, it means you're just getting unlucky for that session. IF you are losing flop sets in majority of your sessions, it means you are doing something wrong and should really record your game to understand what you're doing wrong, as there are definitely a lot of holes in your game. It's rare enough that you're in a coin flip with a set on the flop, losing the coin flip more than 50% of the time is a probability anomaly.
Speaking of getting married to AA... Advice? In the tournament, I had AA in BB (20). Second to act made it 40 several callers. I made it 185 (only 2k chips to start tournament ) original raiser calls seat 4 calls. Flop 10, 9, 4 rainbow. I'm first to act make it 350. Seat 2 makes it 700, seat 4 goes all in (it looks like S2 is getting ready to call). So I am now in for 535 (down to around 1400 in first blinds)... I assume that at least one of them has trips??? Does that not sound like a valid assumption? S2 has other AA. Seat 4 has 10, 9 (2 pr) river is a 4 and gives S2 higher 2 pr and I would have chopped. SO I think "what else could I have done but go all in pre-flop??" (i DID fold but OUCH) *the earliest I ever went out of this tournament was a betting war Pre-flop I had AA and KK pushed all in. On the flop he gets the K and I get the boot - so I had hoped not to HAVE to go all in Preflop
Being on tilt and losing money are two different things, though if you are on tilt you will likely lose money. So, are you saying that you should quit even if you are still playing well but just unlucky, after you have bought in a third time? Why not quit after losing the first buy in? Could you expand on this?
Maybe I can try to explain it. You don't need to be on tilt to start playing bad. Being on tilt and playing bad isn't exclusive to one another. He is suggesting to not buy in more than 3 units, 1 unit usually equaling the max buy in on the table which should be equaling only 5% of your whole bank roll. Being on tilt is playing the game through sheer emotions of trying to chase your loses regardless how the session has gone. You could have been playing well, on a plus for the session but a couple of bad best would put you on tilt and until you win money back, you're playing strictly with emotions. This usually means that you're playing with any two cards. Playing bad and not on tilt, is just one of days. Your session is you playing the basics and playing the hand correctly and smart positions. Although you are missing bets, making bad calls knowing you're beat with your good hand. On top of getting rivered because you're allowing your opponent catch up, folding against obvious bluffs. You are technically not playing on tilt because you are still only playing premium hands, trying to play in position but in accumulation of different kinds of variables, you're just not playing well but not allowing your emotions get the best of you. Sometimes it's just your day, you can't stay in focus, you're just going through the emotions of playing premium hands. Either way of being on tilt, or playing bad it is better to just call off the session when you pulled out 3 buy-ins already. The difference of being on tilt and playing bad, although both can be happening at the same time, is you can go on tilt while still being up for the day, you're actually playing one of your best sessions. I usually quit if I lose two bad beats when the first one aleady put me on tilt. I already know I would lost all of my winnings and as good as it is to get back at your highest for the session, it is usually better to just quit when you're not even up more than half of what you bought in for. While playing bad, you were never up to begin with. You usually cannot be on tilt, unless you actually have managed to play for quite some time and have been able to turn a good profit. Think back all the times you went on tilt, why did you go on tilt because o guarantee you, every time you have went on tilt, you were up and end up losing a good chunk of your profit in a couple of hands. You can't go on tilt when you were never up on the first place. Essentially the advice is don't chase loses nor try to force your way back to the highest amount of profit you had in a session. It's better to quit down 3 units of your buy in, than to keep buying in and getting even after buying in like 6-10 times more as you are doing a lot of damage to your mindset for future sessions. It is easier to chase 3 units as it is just two double ups, but 6-10 units of loses might take a couple of sessions just to get back to where you were.
Simple strategies. Most of these will go a long way to turning results into consistent profit. I think the biggest leaks in my game come from failing to fold a good hand when the villain is going for clear value, and the other is leaving when it is not working. I stay trying to get back, and I get sticky when someone is making a big bet that should be a clear indicator that one over pair is no good.
I believe one of my weaknesses is not value betting when I think I'm ahead on river but not very strong, playing cautious in case a bet then brings a jam I don't want to have to decide on, dont like risking tournament life on middle holdings. I think I do need to risk it more often, Just feels alot of the time, they are only calling with better anyhow so why risk it, but will try more and see how it goes... 🤞lol
as someone who turned 10 bucks to almost 40 on microstakes winning daily small amounts in few weeks, and then tilting and losing everything on 1 day tilt sesh... just accept your 2/3 buy in loss and call it a day.. sleep over it and start again... i wish i could go back to yesteday and i would still have 25 bucks, now i have to start from 0 again.. please just quit dont tilt chase your money...
Your problem is starting at such small stakes. You're not learning anything AT ALL. Microstakes is just broke people who have gambling problems and aren't playing even the most basics of poker.... You're better off saving, and start playing at at least 25 cents BB or higher.
Wtf you’re proud of winning $30? Lol I spent that on a couple drinks when I made $2k last night. Your time would be better spent working at McDonald’s lol

Don't bloat up the pot in single raised pots with an overpair when the board is connected? Don't call down all ins with Top Pair Top kicker? I don't know what else you can make wrong tbh. If you lose with premium hands long run just quit poker I guess

Solid video Nathan, the hardest part in poker is sticking to the simple parts of the game because they are boring,as you said. And I can say , you genuinely like to teach the truth about poker. You're a good person for doing so. Thanks ,keep up the good work.
Yeah, a lot of people don't know that to play at the highest tier of poker, it takes a lot of mental fortitude. When I used to play at a perfect game sessions for more than 8 hours a day. It is mind numbing and it was exhausting to keep such a discipline to not play the bad hands. To not make dumb bluffs or calls. I actually have played so perfect that the regulars in the cardroom no longer wanted to play a hand against me and I would get automatic folds. The moment i raise everyone folds. I had this happen to me and it went for hours. Only way I get to see a flip was through blinds and yet the moment I bet our everyone folds. They were folding top pairs against me, as long as there was no pot, they weren't calling any bet. Add that kind of session and at the same time playing high tier, it is mind numbing.
Absolute gospel here. I just lost my whole stack the other day because I couldn’t get away from my ÀÀ after the flop after being put all in. A complete amateur move by me. But it will be the last time! 😫
Exact same thing happened to me last night. Loose cannon called preflop with Q9o and flopped 2 pair. Put me all in and I couldn’t let it go. Cooler honestly imo
I play your TAG strategy and I am losing. Please do a video on these situations. Raise the limpers, miss the flop, c bet and get called then miss the turn, c bet and get raised, fold when there is no bluff that makes sense. I fold money away every session after throwing in 3X or 5X BB pre flop with premiums. Also what about multi way pots. Need info on how to play when you miss flop or miss straight/flush draws.
I play most of my hands only from position. Its great for getting the aggro players to switch their barreling tendency to a 'check/donk bet small' line instead if they're the first to have to act on every street! I can see more turn and river cards for free.
mark the limpers, mark the shorties, and mark the folks playing junk … and use a hi-viz colour to mark the trifectoids doing all three…after a while you’ll have no problem finding a good table, especially on fri/sat nights
Tip nr.1+is very true. When I sit down at a table and if I don’t spot a maniac, or a very loose player, after a couple rounds, I’ll leave. It makes alot of difference in your earnings and you’ll have a lot of fun too. It’s amazing to see the garbage those players play and how far they’ll go with nothing. Definitely more fun than a table full of tight players folding everything.
Lots depend on board texture. That’s part of the skill. And reading what your opponent has. And, it also depends on YOUR image. If you’re a tight player/abc and I know that, then I know when you make that move it’s never a bluff. You have at worse 2 pair. That’s why raising on flush or straight draws makes you more dangerous and unpredictable. This getting you paid.
Online tables change quickly. At some tables, I get an ok seat, but not a great seat. So I play an orbit, then I sit out an orbit, then play an orbit, then sit out an orbit. Then all of a sudden a huge fish shows up or a maniac puts someone on tilt, or the good player leaves, and is replaced by a total whale, and then it is time to really play.
0:44 Say it again for the people in the back!!!!!! 👏👏👏 I feel the same about K4. Anyone that plays these hands is a donkey…UNLESS you have it and are in the BB to a limped pot or a min raise; at that point the other player(s) deserve to lose to K4/Q4 for not raising or not raising enough pre-flop.
i would sometimes play bad hands with confidence on how well I can play around it, as it is sometimes your biggest pots getting lucky out of nowhere with a hand your opponents didn't put you having those cards. With that said, I will never play a picture and a low card regardless if they're suited. The most I would do is Ace rag, but it has to be suited as I at least can go after the straight or flush. Playing K4, Q4, J4 and other similar hands is just asking to get punished. There's nothing wrong mixing in with hands that's not premium but you at least first gotta be able to play around it and be a hand that can give you multiple outs. K rags is just too far apart and majority of the time never good. Like 99% of the time. Your best case scenario is getting a full house with it but filling up with your high card could mean you are losing to a bigger boat.
He is saying if you got into a board. There are many times when you have AA and you don't get a chance to shove it all in. Sometimes you just 3x bet your aces in a situation and the villain flats to you into a dangerous board. Depending on the board a NIT majority of the time won't 3 bet you without having more than at least two pair. Its more than just aces. He is saying that you should be able to find folds with your monster hand depending on a situation. As unless you have the nuts, you can always lose the hand.
Sigh - just reading the headline....I will watch for the advice and appreciate it but.. Not sure what you can do when you lose every hand for HOURS. Played QQ and I think wise - but chaser continued to chase to the river with AK (K on the river called big bet chasing with nothing on Flop and River) then LOST EVERY HAND for over 4 HOURS. not playing anything not premium and would not have won had I played every hand :( .. Finally hours later Flop a straight call all in and chaser gets a boat with 85 and decent size preflop raise. I get it this can happen SOMETIMES. But how do you handle when this happens ALL THE TIME
I will admit there are times when I know I was playing too many hands when it went HOURS without a winning hand. :( But not in the example above - just this weekend. I am hearing the "accept losing days"; unfortunately these Horrible days happen WAY TOO OFTEN. This session I did FINALLY get 66% back with lucky hand at the end.
Wait why do you say k10 won’t be reraising (3 betting) here on the button when that’s what all the cool kids are doing today? I thought we were supposed to be 3 betting our almost good enough calling hands and that’s what k10 is. I’m assuming this is for online but really after micros this is what hands are 3 bet.
If you are 3 betting K10, you should buy an aquarium because there is definitely a fish in you. Only way I'm 3-bettong K10 is against someone who know their game. Where I already have a good read on their hand, and I know if I'm get in a situation that I am willing to lose at least half of my stack.
Yeah I feel like he really missed to warn players to be wary of situations on the river that sometimes it isn't wise to bet when you know better hands than yours are the only hands calling. Majority of the time, a straight or a flush possible, betting on the river is a bad bet as in those situations players will only call you if they have you beat. You should always be prepared to be check raised on a river and if you aren't confident to risk all in with your hand, it is usually better to just check down. The example he gave is pretty standard. squeezing out with the 2nd pair for value against fish. Because I guarantee you, trying to vue bet on a dangerous board even if you have monster hand like a two pair or a set. A top tier caliber player will only call you if they had you beat. Against fishes? Yeah squeeze all day as they're not good enough to bluff you out of the hand and they're definitely calling you with a mediocre hand. Top tier players will know how to put pressure, and if you know you're not good enough to hand a high pressure situation, it is better to just check down. As a top tier player, trust me, if I sense weakness in your hand, many times my check on the river is a way for you to bet out and catch you in a trap, or I know you aren't confident and I'm gonna put pressure on you.
I’m starting to realize that I can get insanely good at poker if I sit down and learn, and stop going for the sexy calls and raises and bluffs. I have the mental horsepower to outperform good players if I stop playing with my gut and start playing with my brain.
As a top tier player who just never really put in the work and always end up at the gambling tables. These are actually good advice and this is something I learned a long time ago and it's just good to hear. I can play at higher tiers but hearing the basics can get someone in focus. Once the basics is second nature. Your next tier is noticing little things. Once you're at a certain tier. You will know who is good and who aren't at the tables almost immediately. Also other top tier players who are fishing, if they notice you're at or higher of their tier, there will be a mutual silent respect where you both won't play each other and get out of the way from one another. You will also start to notice the wannabes on the tables who think they're a top tier caliber and they'll start gunning for you. I had a session, started at $300 and about 3 guys on the other side of the table started to run the table but they just couldn't be and they started to gang up on me. I outplayed them at every turn where I'm bluffing at 3 bets on the river and having them to fold. They wanted to beat me so bad that when I have the best hand I just punish the for at least 30-40% of their chips that they would get from other fish on the table. At the end of that session, I was $1k, and has $1300 on the table, I had Aces and played it aggressive because I was leaving. Flop comes rainbow low cards. I bet big to end the hand on the flop, they raise back to about $400 and so I shove all in and they called me with pocket 3s. They had a guy shot with their pocker 3s. Board ran out well. Stacked him for $900+ so I ended up leaving up over $2k i think i cashed out $2600 Point is no matter how good you think you are, it's not smart to try and beat someone who is as good or better than you on the tables. It's better to just get out of each other's way as there are plenty of fish. I wasn't even going after them until I heard them started talking, so I turn up my game and pulled out all my moves to shut them down to the point I had them shoving against me on a guy shot draw just so they can win a pot against me. Because night they couldn't get a big pot off me. I always folded when I knew I was way behind and squeezed them every time I was ahead.
Even against friendly games. I was always a target because they feel like if they beat me , they feel they took down a legendary player. Of course there are nights against my friends where the luck wasn't on my side but they always want to extend the game until the morning, it's just proof that better players will always win out and thats every all nighter, I have never lost a session against my friends.
You gotta have bluffs in your game or else your just a NIT whose game will be easily predicted. You gotta be smart at bluffing. If you're not great at reading your opponents card, I wouldn't suggest to go over board on big bluffs. Do small bluffs at right timing and show others you bluff. Showing bluffs is a huge tool if used properly. About 80% of the time I actually show my hand, it's part of my game. It really throws people off especially when you big pots and don't need to show, it really put fishes on tilt, especially the wannabes.

Dear Nathan,
The easiest way to understand the dynamics of poker is to download your free poker ranges for first raise in and go to equilabs insert your range for say cutoff and insert the generic ranges for the other positions put in any flop type ( rainbow disconnected for example) and run 100 million games. Thanks
Nathan
Man, i like your teaching style. Straight forward, no BS! Thanks!

@@BlackRain79Poker any online games that you trust for small stakes cash games?
For the check raise with your monsters one im a little conflicted because the people in my games rarely bet
It definitely varies from game to game, depends heavily on player type.
Love this video, straight honest facts!

#6) I definitely re raise with K9 K8 K7 suited as a bluff depending on positioning and who’s in the pot + original raise amount. It’s worked out for me more often than not but I still agree with the point you made here
#5) personally I usually will end up check raising on the turn but getting your chips in there on the flip is good too
I mean #6 point is to not play out of position calling 3 bet with a mediocre hand.
ALWAYS a great discussion even as a refresher ... Well Presented
I really enjoy your advice. I have been playing for years and enjoy the game so much. I might be only one or two steps ahead of a fish. But this Boring lesson tips has been the most informative in its simplicity. All the best

I can not tell you how many times I've had pocket Aces or kings at Family Poker Night, and my brother or nephew hits three of a kind 2's or 9's. They'll raise me fairly aggressive thinking I'll take their bait.
I have a question, if i have like pocket 5s or lower and i see people going all in before my turn, im better off folding right? players prolly have higher pockets? Or a high range
Preflop you should call, if you miss your set on the flop, you better fold before the turn.
@@issaqumsieh1603 thank you
@@issaqumsieh1603 what if calling costs me my entire stack? Should I still see the flop? Or assume they have better pockets
I like your teaching style and definitely will buy the book. 🙏🏽

I don't understand tip 5, what means "check/raise" ? do we check preflop and then raise after the flop or is it something else ?
It means that you check in hope someone would bet and then u bet more, raise on top of the opponents bet. If that makes sense. You can do it before flop, or on the flop etc
@@imonoke7903 thx for the explanation
No. It means when you check on the flop, turn or river and raise when they bet.
He wants you to check/raise as soon as you have something good like a set on the flop.
Obviously you can only do that when you’re out of position. Otherwise he would be telling you to 3 bet in position.
remember, orphan pots need love
also, i need five starting hand charts for a sixmax ring game … my range is narrow in the lojack and widens in the HJ/CO/BU/SB. likewise, i need eight starting hand charts for a ninemax game

Your rule three contradicts the earlier ones?
extremely important: make your losing sessions short, make your winning sessions as long as possible. a lot of people do this other way around, they spiral out when losing, and they "protect" their wins by cutting profitable sessions short.
thanks for useful tips. All the best at poker tables!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Question- all of the money comes from bad tables. That means when it comes to live games, it should be only $1-$3 stakes where you can find fishes?
Your information is King 👑, thank you Nathan!!!
I appreciate it!
For #4 what about hands like KQ of diamonds, 98 of diamonds, QT of diamonds, etc. do those not raise here too?
You’re asking a question that has nothing to do w 4. It’s about folding, not raising.
What do you do if you're losing all of your flopped set pots where you get your opponents to put all their money in way behind?
SO I think
"what else could I have done but go all in pre-flop??" (i DID fold but OUCH)
*the earliest I ever went out of this tournament was a betting war Pre-flop I had AA and KK pushed all in. On the flop he gets the K and I get the boot - so I had hoped not to HAVE to go all in Preflop
Your 3bet was light. If you got 3 callers it wasn’t enough.

I think I do need to risk it more often, Just feels alot of the time, they are only calling with better anyhow so why risk it, but will try more and see how it goes... 🤞lol
Hey Q4 is short for Quadrafolio. Props to whoever gets this reference. All on the vanguard.
as someone who turned 10 bucks to almost 40 on microstakes winning daily small amounts in few weeks, and then tilting and losing everything on 1 day tilt sesh... just accept your 2/3 buy in loss and call it a day.. sleep over it and start again... i wish i could go back to yesteday and i would still have 25 bucks, now i have to start from 0 again..
please just quit dont tilt chase your money...

Do these tips still apply when you are head to head?
The strategy will change heads up quite a bit.
Crazy coincidence. This one did it with K9 and hit two pair also. Then filled up with a K on the turn. Gotta love this game!
I hate folding then i would of flop a full house. I go on full tilt after that
I play your TAG strategy and I am losing.

Well in poker rooms, sometimes is just too packed and hard to get a table change or else you would have to wait another few hours.
Any PLO lessons?
Not an expert in that game, but might make a vid on it one day.
Did exactly #5 today. Hit a set of 3s. Opponent folded instantly to my raise! 🤷♂️
A bad beat is for example you catch a str8 on the flop, You are raising your opponent each street and he calls and catches his flush on the river.
This happens everyday 10+ times in online poker.
I'd rather crush low and mid stakes recs than worry about GT not O

Tip #8 Don't go and play Roulette trying to win your buy-in back xD
Why I can't find you în all time money list?
At the top.
At the top of what?

Learned early on in poker to play against guys who get drunk and high. Hahaha you'll have an easy night of wins
I super disagree on the AA getting raised hand with that board... A nit raising into you with pocket rockets... Should have shoved on him...
Be careful value betting tight players and the nuts that check raise real big.
As a top tier player, trust me, if I sense weakness in your hand, many times my check on the river is a way for you to bet out and catch you in a trap, or I know you aren't confident and I'm gonna put pressure on you.
i do all of thise and i really learnd by my self but still not wining lol
Stacked him for $900+ so I ended up leaving up over $2k i think i cashed out $2600
Point is no matter how good you think you are, it's not smart to try and beat someone who is as good or better than you on the tables.
Stoping a winnin session because you're afraid of losing is also something that crushes winrate.
I recently lost everything I had an ugly divorce and now I'm having to fall back on my poker skills to survive since finding your videos I've actually been able to eat more than once a day I was wondering if there would be any way you'd be able to work out some kind of deal with me for this poker training maybe play a game with me I got a enough gold coins on global poker to buy a private room if you wanted to give me some pointers cuz I sure need them back when I used to play I was really good so I thought but online is way different than in person in person I feel like I'm a much stronger player
Sounds like you don't need any training
Yes yes yes, winning at the lower stakes live is dull dull dull. But its fun watching the final table chip spaffers fall by the wayside.
