Short version of the Inauguration Lectures of Junior Professor Maike Schwammberger and Alexander von Humboldt Professor André Platzer at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Ms Schwammberger and Mr Platzer were warmly welcomed by the then President of KIT, Prof. Holger Hanselka, and the Dean of the KIT Department of Informatics, Bernhard Beckert, and presented their respective fields of research.
