You've got to appreciate the amount of effort, editing and scripting that go into these videos. And instead of complaining about a "nerf" that make sense he decides to help us. You're definitely the best GTA RUclipsr around.
I said a similar compliment the other day. Great content, no b s , this channel is full of hard work and it shows by the sheer mass of guide and gameplay content.
It doesn't make sense, as Mockstar's original nerf was intended to encourage people to do the heist with others, whereas this is making people go back to doing it solo.

I always have enough money to buy whatever I want and I don't do Perico; Most of my time is spent screwing around and doing a delivery sporadically. @@agamj.9996 ive done it twice, at first it was difficult getting the hang of it and understanding how the guards worked. “Boots on the ground” intel gathering and experience helps, watching the video helps but keep trying once you get it you got it, like riding a bike
A few added things: I don't think the guard at the top of the stairs to El Rubio's office is bugged. If you shoot him while standing at the bottom of the stairs, a guard below and behind you is possibly hearing the shot. I have had consistent success going half way up the stairs and taking him out without detection. Make sure to prioritize paintings in the office, unless you have a single location with 2 cocaine stacks. This goes a long ways to cutting the time to complete when you can just grab one stack of cocaine then fill up your bag with the painting. Finally, if you veer the motorcycle to the right when you go off the cliff, you'll land right in front of the final three mines along the seabed. You can swim directly past these and trigger the ending. I only mention this because I have sometimes caught a bug swimming to the left where i have to swim for several minutes before it triggers the end. Not sure if it was the game or I wasn't swimming in a straight line, but swimming past the mines gives you a concrete direction. Next up, to experiment with using the longfin to slip into the main dock area and figure out fastest access points to loot and which guards you can kill without their bodies being found.
Having now gone through this heist about 6 times since they made us do stealth, I think it's now easier to do than before. Not sure if that was their intention but the route you show works like a dream and it is far easier going stealthy rather than trying to kill people and find the keys etc.
@@antwonegrisby1923 Simply disconnect the Internet connection during the handover when the noise comes for confirmation and then you can repeat the raid at any time when you want. Works every time.
I think I kill only 5 guards with my approach with Velum, and I use a dirt bike to get around the checkpoint by going up and over the hills near that first marina.
Returning GTA 5 Online player, ran Cayo Perico Numerous times and the recent changes made me so angry and confused why i couldnt do it the same way. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making such an easy to follow guide on what to do. Took a little to get used to, but now I am flawless at this approach and making BANK.
I’ve had to completely change my method since this update! Always used the submarine approach - I can confirm the Longfin is 100% the best way to approach this heist in its current state. Make sure to use your respirators and stay out of sight of the guards once in the compound! Stay frosty friends!
This has always been my meta. Airstrip, drainage tunnel, kill no one in the compound. I've also noticed that if you get caught outside of the compound (after your bags are filled and you have the primary) then you still get the elite
@@MVSTNGGT Faster, sure. but not easier. Airstrip is an easier looting zone and a guaranty of 100% succes. Cayo heist : 150/180k gta$ per "mission" ( counting each prep and the heist, elite and hard mode ). Fail the heist one time and you lost 150/180K Gta$ of earning during your play time. Better to stick with a slowest but 100% safe way of doing the heist if you want to earn max money on the long run. If you consider fun ways of doing it ( it is a game after all) there are, of course a lot of good and enjoyable ways of doing it. : )
@@quairnt there isn't different approaches for cayo perico which we are talking about. There are different approach methods(vehicles) but not approaches.
13:31 instead of swimming away from the island which takes forever. Look around and find 3 sea mines that form a triangle and swim in between them. The heist will end much quicker that way. Works for me on ps5
@@dotsgaming2538 You replied to Andy A, but I assume you meant to ask if the triangle of mines is in the area where TGG jumped towards. TGG didn't have to kill that guard in the jeep. That guard would not have time to see the body and sound the alarm. Even if he did, getting detected when you are OUTSIDE of the compound does not affect the elite bonus.
Couple of notes Guard at the bottom of the stairs won't be detected if killed, guard at the top of the stairs can be melee'd silently, just wait for him to come down to the balcony. Killing them helps a lot as you can get gate keys. If you are fast enough with your getaway, bike guard won't be detected so killing car guard is not necessary. Jump off the cliff at 90 degrees to the right to escape faster(you'll see a triangle of mines, swim in their direction). If you get noticed by guard near the gates after pressing E/whatever gamepad button alarm won't be raised even if he shoots you. If you go for the elite challenge I recommend rerolling until you get a painting in office.

For the guy at the top of the stairs, if you punch him you do not get alerted, I think it is because the guard at the bottom, hears the gun shot, even though you have a suppressor

That is not true, day or night is the same (day used to reduce the line of sight of the guards for some reason) but now only raining will reduce their line of sight.
@@zakapholiac9377 There are two cameras on the island that can spot you while looting secondary targets (through walls). The one in the video behind the airfield and another one on a high guard tower at the main dock.
@@El-Leon-VLLC What does "NOW only rain" mean? Since when? Cause I always do the heist at night and the camera at the main dock (that would see you during daytime) never detected me while looting. There is a video by "RandomWeirdThings 248" here on RUclips about the camera I mean.

12:41 No need to kill the jeep driver here. If you get the bike and immediately jump off the island at the usual spot to swim away, you'll be done with the mission before the alarm goes off. You have to be fast, though. Also you can still get elite even if the alarm goes off in the heist's final phase, so it doesn't matter if they do see the body before you cross the finish line.
Exactly. How can a well-known GTA RUclipsr not know this? Am I expecting too much? And, you can run past the guards, not just walk; don't have to wait for that last guard before the office to reach that corner - the next corner works fine; and can just swim to the triangle of mines that is not very far.

You can kill the guard on the stairs with a melee weapon. When he reaches the "flower bed", you can approach a little behind and perform a kill animation. In my experience, you can even punch him in the face and finish him off on the ground EVEN when the second guard is EXACTLY below you
There's plenty of guards in compound that you can kill as long as they don discover each other's bodies, the only ones you can't kill are ones that are in the juggernauts path, so wait for them to rotate out of sight before killing them, this is helpful as just running through the compound and trying to open the storage lock ups with multiple players to access gold and paintings becomes incredibly difficult patrolling around
Tried to do a Cayo last night (first time since the nerf) and was getting frustrated as I kept getting detected. Watched this video and aced it first shot, 8:27 completion time too. Thank you fellow Aussie!

You can also take the other set of stairs from where you start in the compound (the opposite direction), turn right and go straight until you wait for that guard at the top of the stairs to move towards the front gate - a slightly more direct route.
First time since the update i was low key heated but after i tweaked who i killed, i really didn’t have to change much. This tutorial definitely helped with inside the compound doing the dash after leaving the drain pipe, much appreciated
You have to kill the 3 guards at 8:23 to not get spotted when killing the guy heading up the stairs make sure the first guard goes into the corner so the guy with the mini gun and armor doesn’t spot him , if you don’t kill the second guy he will alert the guards when killing the guy up the stairs
@@mfg9985 idk why it’s not working like that for everyone I haven’t had a problem doing that , I kill all 3 of those guards and escape in less 5-6 min max I kill the first guard and make sure he’s in the corner and the second one cause if I didn’t kill him somehow the guards were alerted so I assume he hears the gun shot from the guard above but I kill all three and never got alerted maybe it’s different for everyone

@@kytwb4252 When I wrote this I was doing Casino heist during cooldown, but in the last few days I discovered you can keep doing the cayo perico heist finale over and over again without cooldown and without needing to do setups again, so I've just been doing that. I have everything in the game pretty much now, just some vehicles I want to get. But I have all the properties.
8:55 that dude on the staircase has always been a problem to shoot to kill but for me running up the staircase that you wait at (so just one left turn up the other staircase to the office) if you run up there and stay around the corner and then melee him with your gun no one gets alerted and I believe no one will see him.
It looks like the red-cone guard at the bottom of the building was alerted. My guess is the shot went through the head and hit the wall, or the body made noise when hitting the ground. I have been running Cayo with another person, successfully killing a few guards without alerting anyone. The guard at the bottom needs to be shot when he is on the right side of the little alcove. Two of the keycard guards need to be killed in specific places to avoid detection. One keycard guard will be detected by a patrol after looting the primary, so you need the other player set up to kill the patrol that finds him, if the other keycard guards didn't drop a card.
@@xIputXsAroundMyNamex Yeah man, it is the guard underneath him that gets alerted. I know he doesn't get alerted due to the body hitting the floor because I've melee'd him all of the time and that seems to work guess is your first guess - Bullet goes through his head and into the wall which alerts the guard underneath. One thing I know for sure though is that you can melee him and remain undetected.
So the blue noise circle around the player on the minimap does nothing? All this time i've been doing this super carefully, making sure that the blue circle doesn't actually touch a hostile icon on the map, and here you people are, running around the enemies. Then what's the point of even having it?
I just want to say thank you again, I finally completed this heist Elite Under 15 minutes, full bags, and didn’t alert any guards. It’s so much easier when the alarms aren’t going off and people aren’t shooting at you. Although I didn’t need it I even did the disruption missions because out of the 5 times I’ve done this heist I’ve somehow alerted a guard every single time. Follow this way and it’s easy as long as the game is cooperative.
@12:50 - I have some thoughts on this (please correct me if I'm wrong). This is from my experiences before in my many previous Cayo Perico Heist grinds. The undetected/stealth requirement in the elite challenge is only applied when you are IN the compound. You can still complete the elite challenge even if you are detected OUTSIDE (post-primary objective grab) as long as you were not detected INSIDE Mr. Rubio's compound. The downside for this is the damage taken which decreases the take and/or the time to take secondary loot (if not yet full).
@@ohno4478 I don't see that in my Cayo Perico heists so far. It's always Under 15mins., 0 hacks failed, and full loot bags. I super grinded the CP heist 98% solo and only 2% with friends btw.

But regardless I only ever saw it on hard mode and usually with others though I never thought about keeping track ill prolly try to see if I can't recreate it at some point this weekend
@@ohno4478 in both normal and hard mode if you get spotted OUTSIDE the compound you can still complete the challenge as long as you have full bags and dont die.
8:54 The guy walking under him is hearing the gunshots, it used to be the same even before the update. You could kill the guy walking under when he moves to to left towards the gate, that way the juggernaut wont see the body.
Just to confirm this, and here is a fix, you can kill all three special(red) guards without anyone being spotted, this also gets you the key(probably) which reduces your exit time too Edit: You might have an issue if you do not reset the guards in time and the juggernaut walks past
I prefer the rooftop path to get to the office. The room under where you used the forklift is a lot easier to fill your bag all the way up too. It's not worth jumping through hoops going to the other supplies.
worth or not worth... Today I had MJ on top and cash on the bottom so I didn't get my bags filled and I just had to go to the third location at the airport. I guess because the second location with camera has two stashes it is not worth getting cash from the hangar at all - the worst case is you will use cash from the other location if needed.
@@paweskarzynski8068 The 3 loot tables at the airport fill the bag. This vid starts off there and is for the Elite Challenge so no idea why the vid tells you to waste time risking those other two loot tables when you're already *right* there. Cash, Weed etc give you different amounts of money, but this is for a speed run and the way it's done in the video is more difficult and time consuming. It's recycled content and creators nearly always stuff them up like this.... Just another wanker of an uploader.
I have a tip for whoever doesn’t know this once you hook the Longfin and pull it out of a most likely tight spot the easiest thing to do is get off fhe truck let the cops kill you and once you respawn the truck is still there hooked to the longfin and the cops are gone all you have to do is get it back don’t get any wanted level and you don’t have to worry about escaping the police for whoever doesn’t know I know it’s not a big tip but it saves some time.
FOR THOSE WHO NEED A NEW ROUTE: Main Dock with longfin loot up only at main docks take out camera then guy behind barn(loot area) wait for and take out car/guard coming from second loot area (other part of main dock) head to the other part of main dock as you’re walk kill guy before next loot area watch out for camera on look out tower wait for it to move if you’re looting other main dock area now head back to longfin drive to drainage tunnel (rebreather would be idle but you can rush and cut the bars) now you’re in compound head left up the stairs then Hard left again then run straight to Rubio’s office make sure to stay behind guard it’s easy they never identify when you’re right behind them no matter how close sneak pass that area until you reach guy that moves before you enter office before he reaches his last stop point take cover on the wall to the left before stairs he will walk down to the Terrace far enough to go right behind him boom hack/safe head down steal main object head out threw the same way you got in but before you pass the last guard you snuck pass while come down the stairs from Rubio‘s office look left at the edge of the balcony and jump over should fall near the exit wait for guy who walks from entrance to move then you’re out kill guy with bike then go straight right just a little and a guard in a truck will be coming you need to take him out or he’s gonna find the guy you killed for the bike after you take him out head to the water and bobs your uncle.
Thank you so much for this. I haven't been able to do the heist since the update but I had heard it had gotten crazy ridiculous. R* definitely upset by introducing cayo and just how much it eats into their shark card profits. Wonderful to see the pink diamond here. I think I have only had it like 2 or 3 times since cayo released but let me tell you what I have enough Sinsimito to fully stock a walmart sized liquor store lol. 😖
This is probably the most fastest and best way to do the heist. I’ve done it solo this way about 3 times now and get average 1.4M every time :) that you TGG !
Just tried this method and thought I’d add a couple notes: 1. For the dude in front of the hangar, make sure to kill him as far away from the road as possible. I got caught by letting him walk as far towards it as possible and then killing him. 2. That run in the compound has to be done FLAWLESSLY and INSTANTLY. Stalling for a moment will get you caught either by the hallway dude or the juggernaut, and trying to wait allows the jugg to walk right into where you need to run, and he will be on that area for ages. If you miss it, you will basically have to completely restart the heist because the loading screen buffers long enough to make it impossible to run past since hallway dude will watch the area, then the jugg walks up etc etc.
I have a question so I use to do the Perico heist and I use to submarine but after getting back I noticed the hole guard and what not thing and after watching this video I decided that the easiest way is the longfin, But I have a question? So you know how every single time your going to get the longfin and you have to steel the truck well if I buy the truck can I just call it instead of going and getting one or even if I buy that ridiculously expensive trunk do I still have to go and steel one.
My way is to avoid first guard, take weed and coke in hangar I got lucky with these, go on the roof in the compound kill first guy besides the gate where little car is (which can drop you the key to gate, if not, take out second guy) , avoid second that is not moving, melee take out guy on stairs, open safe, then go carefully avoiding second guy, go to gate on the right, take tequila.Leave compound, take out guy with motorcycle, avoid guy with heli and leave island avoiding car right in to the ocean with rebreather ofc.
You can still kill the guy at the bike at the end. As long as you get off the island fast enough, it shouldn't be a problem. I've been doing it all morning without any issues. Pretty sure even if he was spotted, the elite challenge only fails if they're alerted while you're inside the compound.
Just did it twice this weekend for the first time in a while and was restarting so many times because I kept losing stealth and never got to get my secondary loot. But thanks to this I can now do this no sweat just like I used too. Thanks
I watched this yesterday and followed your tutorial, I passed the Heist with ease solo and got my bag full. I didn't manage to get an Elite but this method works perfectly 🙌🏾 please could you do a tutorial to past the heist with 4 or 2 players but getting full loots
The guard you KOd before the office no longer alerts every guard. There was a bug im assuming but that one guard single handedly ruined the entire heist.
Just did my first Cayo Perico heist & this tutorial made it so easy! Thank you! Though, I didn’t get the elite bonus because I took longer than 15 minutes because I was watching each step of the tutorial lol
My gosh, I just did it with your video running in the background. I did this in record time, only just by a minute I was taking longer than you did in the video. You finished this in 11 minutes, I took only 12. I'm amazed, thank you for this fun guide.
I used to have trouble with being spotted when shooting the last guard before El Rubio's office, even before the recent update, I think it has something to do with whether a guard is too close on the ground and thus hear the gunshot, because doing a melee kill on the guard never triggers the alarm response.
You are correct. It's funny that I know EXACTLY what guard you're talking about, he gave me troubles my first time. You can either melee him or wait for the guard that's one floor below to turn around and leave.
I think the reason if you kill the guard in the tower alerts you is because the stairway guard below is being left alive instead of kill and he hears the bullet hit the wall
at 13:00 you dont actually have to kill the gaurd driving that car, because even if you do get detected after you've escaped the compound it will not void your Elite challenge.
Even though this is gonna get lost in the comments, the guy at the top you kill gets you alerted because he's right above the one you have to wait for, so he hears the gunshot because for some reason with silencers guards can still hear gunshots
hey tgg, there is a sandbank you can swim to to save 20 sec of swim time. instead of hopping out in the water where u did, go a little more right, and its pure sand, there u finish swim after 4 sec ish
I would not recommend killing the guard that is near the bike when you're exiting the compound. I somehow got detected because one of the guards saw dead body and the alarm was raised. I was swimming when this was happening.
@@marcadiadd5681 Well by the time I was near the end a Helicopter and a Enemy boat spawn on top of me. I got shot at and had to use snacks so I was able to survive.
I used to play this heist in 10 minutes with a full bag of loot, I was shocked when I first tried to play it after the nerf. Thanks a lot for that video.
8:55 the reason you get alerted when shooting him is because the other guard was right below him on the mini map and heard the shot likely because the bullet noise detection doesn't factor in height
I think it also varies depending on the weapon type. I saw a run using a machine pistol (with suppressor) as the main killing weapon. He killed the guards at the first floor of the office and the second and the alarm wasn't raised.
When you swim on the last part, you should try to look for the sea monster's remains. Swimming in that direction will save you a couple of seconds. There are three mines parallel to the remains. Reaching the one closest to the island is enough.
shooting that guard up the stairs has always made alarm if jugger is nearby as he has some super sight or hearing lol. so i used melee kill but now i just left him alive to be sure. since i hadn´t done this heist in very long time. only guard i killed was outside to get his bike. now i understand why i´ve got weird alarm in airstrip too. thanks.
I think the reason you get detected when you take out the guard at the top of the stairs is that you didnt take out the other red cone guards. You can take out the first red cone when he ducks into that little gate room ( this is so the jug can't see him), then you just take out the others as you normally would. In my new run of cayo, these are the only guards that I take out in the compound. Great vid though TGG
@@MrRedneckman100 depends on where you drop him. After i get the main loot, i drop him when he first pauses in the gate room so that way his body falls where the wall blocks him. Now, if you drop him *before* taking the main loot, then yeah the jug gets infinite vision and can see through walls and spots him immediately, that happened to me like 5+ times.
I like to use the kosatka to enter with the scuba gear at the west dock. I swim to the airstrip, kill 1 guard, get my loot and swim all the way to the drainage tunnel. After you enter the compound you take out the one guard at the top of the stairs and the camera to the left. Continue on the side of the compound, heading towards the 2 guards at the end of the walkway stopping at the hallway. Kill the guard in the hallway and take out the camera. Head to the office area and kill all the bodyguards to get the gate key. Unlock the gate before you go to the office. Make sure to clear out the office safe and drawer and head to the main objective. You then just go out the gate and kill the guards at the main gate and leave. Once outside you head left to the helicopter pad and into the ocean. Your scuba gear is still equipped so you just swim away into the night without anyone knowing you were there. Works literally %100 of the time once you get the route down.
At the end don't just swim as far as you can. Swim right to the bombs in a triangle, this is the trigger point and saves a lot of time Also you can kill anyone in the mansion that is not on the path of the juggernaut or under a camera. And if you kill the guys you let live in the "tower" you have a big chance you'll get the gate key and don't need to hack as much.
8:50 I don't think it's a bug, you just need to pay attention to the mini-map. As you were shooting the guy on the stairs up top there was a guy down below, who somehow must've heard that kill and that's what broke the stealth.
Conspirator is a better weapon choice. Aggressor is a machine pistol and auto shotgun. Conspirator has the rifle you want to make the shots you're doing.
I know it’s nothing but I just wanted to let someone know: I’ve been playing GTA online for less than a month even tho I’m in love with GTA V, and I just completed my first heist (Cayo Perico solo) today!! Really proud! :)
Funnily enough this change didn't change my compound route at all and it still works just as well as after the change. Only issue I had was after leaving the compound the guy in the jeep saw that one dead guard near the bike. And I used to go directly to the compound and get the secondary targets from the nearby dock and escape with a boat but I also changed my route where I go to the airport first and then to the compound and escape by jumping in the water. I might also try to see could I in addition grab stuff from the dock safely if I get good loot spawns there.
Exactly the same for me. Struggled for hours over 3 gold with a friend and when we rage quit, I tried it on my own and just didn't kill as many people. That plus killing the people in the Jeep to the left outside compound. Went really smoothly and made about 1.7 mil or so after I ran to get bag full of coke.
New changes didnt effect anything for me, although I had been caught by dead bodies before, I was surprised to hear they "changed" that. A trick I always used and still use is to get far away. From what I have noticed is that they only trigger dead bodies if youre within range. I have always killed the guy on the bike and shot down to the main dock to steal a boat as its faster than swimming. I can still kill the guy at the bike and go to the main dock without them noticing because I get far enough away fast enough for them to no longer be loaded in.
Correct, I mostly use the velum approach and kill every guard at the airport then quickly get away on bike and never got detected even after the update.
You only need to grab that motorbike and swim a very short distance to a triangle of mines (no need to kill the guard patrolling in a jeep) - much faster than riding all the way to the Main Dock and stealing a boat and driving it quite far.
The bug you were talking about is intentional, you should melee attack him with your gun, to not alert anyone, and not shoot him. Though he can scream, it somehow doesn’t alert them.
I think the guards that spawn after you raid el rubios vault should be limited at least on the inside cause I don't mind a little shootout at the end on my way to the main dock
I am so fucking done with this heist. I just keep getting spotted and have to restart the entire thing over. I’m gonna try it another day but I already fucking hate it. Hopefully the pay is worth it.
Please do a guide for safe routes inside the compound for Gold/Painting secondary targets from all 3 outbuilding locations. There's still a lot of people doing this heist with friends and going for the higher value compound secondary loots. That is where this latest change has increased in difficulty the most, particularly with the spawning of additional guards once you collect the Primary target.
You can have one person take the primary target with this route, then have the others kill people afterwards for the keycards because new people only spawn after the primary target
Just kill the juggernaut early and take the secondary loot before the primary loot (which triggers a new set of guards spawning). I've done it several times without problem since the DLC.
This was more a request for a foolproof guide for anyone to be able to jump in and still complete elite challenge with only compound loot.... Eg: The safest and shortest route to take and order to kill each guard, that passes all the possible loot locations and still completes comfortably within elite time frame is as follows.... (Insert foolproof instructional tutorial here) For more direct run throughs once you know your way round and only want to go via the stops that you need to make, or if you don't have enough secondaries in the compound to fill your bags and need to allow time for island pick ups as well, to make your own route here's what you need to know in detail: Guards A, and B are patrolling guards, their routes pass guards C, D and E, so don't kill them unless you've taken out A and B guards first. After collecting the primary, new guards X, Y and Z will appear here, here and here, within their line of sight is the original guards F, G and H, so make sure you don't kill these guys before collecting the primary. All the others are fine to kill at any time that you may need to cross their paths on your route to collecting whichever loot spawns you got. The point of a guide is to give specific instructions for anyone to be able to complete the objective.... Just as this video does for a solo run or duo+ run if you're collecting island secondaries and not compound ones.
You can actually use the drainage tunnel without a rebreather if you’re quick. I usually get to the end of the tunnel after half my health is gone from drowning, also I did this one last night and I melee killed all three of the the red vision guards, the first one while he’s by the gate and never got caught, maybe you only get caught for shooting them but the jug won’t see the first one if he’s looking out the gate when you kill him

A few added things: I don't think the guard at the top of the stairs to El Rubio's office is bugged. If you shoot him while standing at the bottom of the stairs, a guard below and behind you is possibly hearing the shot. I have had consistent success going half way up the stairs and taking him out without detection.
Make sure to prioritize paintings in the office, unless you have a single location with 2 cocaine stacks. This goes a long ways to cutting the time to complete when you can just grab one stack of cocaine then fill up your bag with the painting.
Finally, if you veer the motorcycle to the right when you go off the cliff, you'll land right in front of the final three mines along the seabed. You can swim directly past these and trigger the ending. I only mention this because I have sometimes caught a bug swimming to the left where i have to swim for several minutes before it triggers the end. Not sure if it was the game or I wasn't swimming in a straight line, but swimming past the mines gives you a concrete direction.
Next up, to experiment with using the longfin to slip into the main dock area and figure out fastest access points to loot and which guards you can kill without their bodies being found.

Having now gone through this heist about 6 times since they made us do stealth, I think it's now easier to do than before. Not sure if that was their intention but the route you show works like a dream and it is far easier going stealthy rather than trying to kill people and find the keys etc.

I think I kill only 5 guards with my approach with Velum, and I use a dirt bike to get around the checkpoint by going up and over the hills near that first marina.
Returning GTA 5 Online player, ran Cayo Perico Numerous times and the recent changes made me so angry and confused why i couldnt do it the same way. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making such an easy to follow guide on what to do. Took a little to get used to, but now I am flawless at this approach and making BANK.
I’ve had to completely change my method since this update! Always used the submarine approach - I can confirm the Longfin is 100% the best way to approach this heist in its current state. Make sure to use your respirators and stay out of sight of the guards once in the compound! Stay frosty friends!

This has always been my meta. Airstrip, drainage tunnel, kill no one in the compound. I've also noticed that if you get caught outside of the compound (after your bags are filled and you have the primary) then you still get the elite
Totally agree. This solo meta is consistently the best elite way of doing since the beginning of this heist.
Elite, outside of aggressive approach, means not getting detected before leaving the compound.

Cayo heist : 150/180k gta$ per "mission" ( counting each prep and the heist, elite and hard mode ). Fail the heist one time and you lost 150/180K Gta$ of earning during your play time. Better to stick with a slowest but 100% safe way of doing the heist if you want to earn max money on the long run. If you consider fun ways of doing it ( it is a game after all) there are, of course a lot of good and enjoyable ways of doing it. : )

13:31 instead of swimming away from the island which takes forever. Look around and find 3 sea mines that form a triangle and swim in between them. The heist will end much quicker that way. Works for me on ps5

That guard would not have time to see the body and sound the alarm. Even if he did, getting detected when you are OUTSIDE of the compound does not affect the elite bonus.

Couple of notes
Guard at the bottom of the stairs won't be detected if killed, guard at the top of the stairs can be melee'd silently, just wait for him to come down to the balcony. Killing them helps a lot as you can get gate keys.
If you are fast enough with your getaway, bike guard won't be detected so killing car guard is not necessary. Jump off the cliff at 90 degrees to the right to escape faster(you'll see a triangle of mines, swim in their direction).
If you get noticed by guard near the gates after pressing E/whatever gamepad button alarm won't be raised even if he shoots you.
If you go for the elite challenge I recommend rerolling until you get a painting in office.
I've been detected when killing that guard at the bottom of the stairs. I suspect other guards were too close to the location.

For the guy at the top of the stairs, if you punch him you do not get alerted, I think it is because the guard at the bottom, hears the gun shot, even though you have a suppressor

Doing the heist at night reduces the guard's and camera's vision range. They won't spot you looting during night.

There are two cameras on the island that can spot you while looting secondary targets (through walls).
The one in the video behind the airfield and another one on a high guard tower at the main dock.

12:41 No need to kill the jeep driver here. If you get the bike and immediately jump off the island at the usual spot to swim away, you'll be done with the mission before the alarm goes off. You have to be fast, though.
Also you can still get elite even if the alarm goes off in the heist's final phase, so it doesn't matter if they do see the body before you cross the finish line.

Just did this strat for the first time. Always used the Submarine approach. Feels great to do something different for once in Cayo Perico
You can kill the guard on the stairs with a melee weapon. When he reaches the "flower bed", you can approach a little behind and perform a kill animation. In my experience, you can even punch him in the face and finish him off on the ground EVEN when the second guard is EXACTLY below you
There's plenty of guards in compound that you can kill as long as they don discover each other's bodies, the only ones you can't kill are ones that are in the juggernauts path, so wait for them to rotate out of sight before killing them, this is helpful as just running through the compound and trying to open the storage lock ups with multiple players to access gold and paintings becomes incredibly difficult patrolling around
Well the juggernaut pretty much covers the entire map. The only ones u would usually kill are the ones he passes by

Quick tip: You don’t have to kill the guard in the car at the end. You can drive straight into the ocean and finish the hesit

You can also take the other set of stairs from where you start in the compound (the opposite direction), turn right and go straight until you wait for that guard at the top of the stairs to move towards the front gate - a slightly more direct route.

First time since the update i was low key heated but after i tweaked who i killed, i really didn’t have to change much. This tutorial definitely helped with inside the compound doing the dash after leaving the drain pipe, much appreciated
You have to kill the 3 guards at 8:23 to not get spotted when killing the guy heading up the stairs make sure the first guard goes into the corner so the guy with the mini gun and armor doesn’t spot him , if you don’t kill the second guy he will alert the guards when killing the guy up the stairs

@@kytwb4252 When I wrote this I was doing Casino heist during cooldown, but in the last few days I discovered you can keep doing the cayo perico heist finale over and over again without cooldown and without needing to do setups again, so I've just been doing that. I have everything in the game pretty much now, just some vehicles I want to get. But I have all the properties.

8:55 that dude on the staircase has always been a problem to shoot to kill but for me running up the staircase that you wait at (so just one left turn up the other staircase to the office) if you run up there and stay around the corner and then melee him with your gun no one gets alerted and I believe no one will see him.
It looks like the red-cone guard at the bottom of the building was alerted. My guess is the shot went through the head and hit the wall, or the body made noise when hitting the ground.
I have been running Cayo with another person, successfully killing a few guards without alerting anyone. The guard at the bottom needs to be shot when he is on the right side of the little alcove. Two of the keycard guards need to be killed in specific places to avoid detection. One keycard guard will be detected by a patrol after looting the primary, so you need the other player set up to kill the patrol that finds him, if the other keycard guards didn't drop a card.
@@xIputXsAroundMyNamex Yeah man, it is the guard underneath him that gets alerted. I know he doesn't get alerted due to the body hitting the floor because I've melee'd him all of the time and that seems to work guess is your first guess - Bullet goes through his head and into the wall which alerts the guard underneath. One thing I know for sure though is that you can melee him and remain undetected.
So the blue noise circle around the player on the minimap does nothing? All this time i've been doing this super carefully, making sure that the blue circle doesn't actually touch a hostile icon on the map, and here you people are, running around the enemies. Then what's the point of even having it?
I just want to say thank you again, I finally completed this heist Elite Under 15 minutes, full bags, and didn’t alert any guards. It’s so much easier when the alarms aren’t going off and people aren’t shooting at you. Although I didn’t need it I even did the disruption missions because out of the 5 times I’ve done this heist I’ve somehow alerted a guard every single time. Follow this way and it’s easy as long as the game is cooperative.
@12:50 - I have some thoughts on this (please correct me if I'm wrong).
This is from my experiences before in my many previous Cayo Perico Heist grinds.
The undetected/stealth requirement in the elite challenge is only applied when you are IN the compound. You can still complete the elite challenge even if you are detected OUTSIDE (post-primary objective grab) as long as you were not detected INSIDE Mr. Rubio's compound. The downside for this is the damage taken which decreases the take and/or the time to take secondary loot (if not yet full).
I believe it's actually a hard mode thing cause when I'm in hard mode I see "Noone gets caught" normal mode is just "under 15 minutes"
@@ohno4478 I don't see that in my Cayo Perico heists so far. It's always Under 15mins., 0 hacks failed, and full loot bags. I super grinded the CP heist 98% solo and only 2% with friends btw.

8:54 The guy walking under him is hearing the gunshots, it used to be the same even before the update. You could kill the guy walking under when he moves to to left towards the gate, that way the juggernaut wont see the body.
Just to confirm this, and here is a fix, you can kill all three special(red) guards without anyone being spotted, this also gets you the key(probably) which reduces your exit time too
Edit: You might have an issue if you do not reset the guards in time and the juggernaut walks past
I always kill the guy on the stairs, until this update the guy below never heard it for me.
I prefer the rooftop path to get to the office. The room under where you used the forklift is a lot easier to fill your bag all the way up too. It's not worth jumping through hoops going to the other supplies.
worth or not worth... Today I had MJ on top and cash on the bottom so I didn't get my bags filled and I just had to go to the third location at the airport. I guess because the second location with camera has two stashes it is not worth getting cash from the hangar at all - the worst case is you will use cash from the other location if needed.
@@paweskarzynski8068 The 3 loot tables at the airport fill the bag. This vid starts off there and is for the Elite Challenge so no idea why the vid tells you to waste time risking those other two loot tables when you're already *right* there.
Cash, Weed etc give you different amounts of money, but this is for a speed run and the way it's done in the video is more difficult and time consuming. It's recycled content and creators nearly always stuff them up like this....

I have a tip for whoever doesn’t know this once you hook the Longfin and pull it out of a most likely tight spot the easiest thing to do is get off fhe truck let the cops kill you and once you respawn the truck is still there hooked to the longfin and the cops are gone all you have to do is get it back don’t get any wanted level and you don’t have to worry about escaping the police for whoever doesn’t know I know it’s not a big tip but it saves some time.
FOR THOSE WHO NEED A NEW ROUTE: Main Dock with longfin loot up only at main docks take out camera then guy behind barn(loot area) wait for and take out car/guard coming from second loot area (other part of main dock) head to the other part of main dock as you’re walk kill guy before next loot area watch out for camera on look out tower wait for it to move if you’re looting other main dock area now head back to longfin drive to drainage tunnel (rebreather would be idle but you can rush and cut the bars) now you’re in compound head left up the stairs then Hard left again then run straight to Rubio’s office make sure to stay behind guard it’s easy they never identify when you’re right behind them no matter how close sneak pass that area until you reach guy that moves before you enter office before he reaches his last stop point take cover on the wall to the left before stairs he will walk down to the Terrace far enough to go right behind him boom hack/safe head down steal main object head out threw the same way you got in but before you pass the last guard you snuck pass while come down the stairs from Rubio‘s office look left at the edge of the balcony and jump over should fall near the exit wait for guy who walks from entrance to move then you’re out kill guy with bike then go straight right just a little and a guard in a truck will be coming you need to take him out or he’s gonna find the guy you killed for the bike after you take him out head to the water and bobs your uncle.

This is probably the most fastest and best way to do the heist. I’ve done it solo this way about 3 times now and get average 1.4M every time :) that you TGG !
Just tried this method and thought I’d add a couple notes:
1. For the dude in front of the hangar, make sure to kill him as far away from the road as possible. I got caught by letting him walk as far towards it as possible and then killing him.
2. That run in the compound has to be done FLAWLESSLY and INSTANTLY. Stalling for a moment will get you caught either by the hallway dude or the juggernaut, and trying to wait allows the jugg to walk right into where you need to run, and he will be on that area for ages. If you miss it, you will basically have to completely restart the heist because the loading screen buffers long enough to make it impossible to run past since hallway dude will watch the area, then the jugg walks up etc etc.

I have a question so I use to do the Perico heist and I use to submarine but after getting back I noticed the hole guard and what not thing and after watching this video I decided that the easiest way is the longfin, But I have a question? So you know how every single time your going to get the longfin and you have to steel the truck well if I buy the truck can I just call it instead of going and getting one or even if I buy that ridiculously expensive trunk do I still have to go and steel one.
My way is to avoid first guard, take weed and coke in hangar I got lucky with these, go on the roof in the compound kill first guy besides the gate where little car is (which can drop you the key to gate, if not, take out second guy) , avoid second that is not moving, melee take out guy on stairs, open safe, then go carefully avoiding second guy, go to gate on the right, take tequila.Leave compound, take out guy with motorcycle, avoid guy with heli and leave island avoiding car right in to the ocean with rebreather ofc.
You can still kill the guy at the bike at the end. As long as you get off the island fast enough, it shouldn't be a problem. I've been doing it all morning without any issues.
Pretty sure even if he was spotted, the elite challenge only fails if they're alerted while you're inside the compound.

I watched this yesterday and followed your tutorial, I passed the Heist with ease solo and got my bag full. I didn't manage to get an Elite but this method works perfectly 🙌🏾 please could you do a tutorial to past the heist with 4 or 2 players but getting full loots

The guard you KOd before the office no longer alerts every guard. There was a bug im assuming but that one guard single handedly ruined the entire heist.

I used to have trouble with being spotted when shooting the last guard before El Rubio's office, even before the recent update, I think it has something to do with whether a guard is too close on the ground and thus hear the gunshot, because doing a melee kill on the guard never triggers the alarm response.
You are correct. It's funny that I know EXACTLY what guard you're talking about, he gave me troubles my first time. You can either melee him or wait for the guard that's one floor below to turn around and leave.
I think the reason if you kill the guard in the tower alerts you is because the stairway guard below is being left alive instead of kill and he hears the bullet hit the wall

at 13:00 you dont actually have to kill the gaurd driving that car, because even if you do get detected after you've escaped the compound it will not void your Elite challenge.

Even though this is gonna get lost in the comments, the guy at the top you kill gets you alerted because he's right above the one you have to wait for, so he hears the gunshot because for some reason with silencers guards can still hear gunshots
it took me days to do this the first time and looking at this makes me think this is really easy
hey tgg, there is a sandbank you can swim to to save 20 sec of swim time. instead of hopping out in the water where u did, go a little more right, and its pure sand, there u finish swim after 4 sec ish

I would not recommend killing the guard that is near the bike when you're exiting the compound. I somehow got detected because one of the guards saw dead body and the alarm was raised. I was swimming when this was happening.
Did the alarm going even matter at that point?
@@marcadiadd5681 Well by the time I was near the end a Helicopter and a Enemy boat spawn on top of me. I got shot at and had to use snacks so I was able to survive.

its cause a guard comes by in a car you can just kill him before he finds the bodies

8:55 the reason you get alerted when shooting him is because the other guard was right below him on the mini map and heard the shot likely because the bullet noise detection doesn't factor in height
yeah same issue was happening with us but when the juggernaut was below us xD
I think it also varies depending on the weapon type. I saw a run using a machine pistol (with suppressor) as the main killing weapon. He killed the guards at the first floor of the office and the second and the alarm wasn't raised.
When you swim on the last part, you should try to look for the sea monster's remains. Swimming in that direction will save you a couple of seconds.
There are three mines parallel to the remains. Reaching the one closest to the island is enough.

shooting that guard up the stairs has always made alarm if jugger is nearby as he has some super sight or hearing lol. so i used melee kill but now i just left him alive to be sure. since i hadn´t done this heist in very long time. only guard i killed was outside to get his bike. now i understand why i´ve got weird alarm in airstrip too. thanks.
I think the reason you get detected when you take out the guard at the top of the stairs is that you didnt take out the other red cone guards. You can take out the first red cone when he ducks into that little gate room ( this is so the jug can't see him), then you just take out the others as you normally would. In my new run of cayo, these are the only guards that I take out in the compound. Great vid though TGG
Juggernaut will still see the one in the gate room.
@@MrRedneckman100 depends on where you drop him. After i get the main loot, i drop him when he first pauses in the gate room so that way his body falls where the wall blocks him. Now, if you drop him *before* taking the main loot, then yeah the jug gets infinite vision and can see through walls and spots him immediately, that happened to me like 5+ times.

I like to use the kosatka to enter with the scuba gear at the west dock. I swim to the airstrip, kill 1 guard, get my loot and swim all the way to the drainage tunnel. After you enter the compound you take out the one guard at the top of the stairs and the camera to the left. Continue on the side of the compound, heading towards the 2 guards at the end of the walkway stopping at the hallway. Kill the guard in the hallway and take out the camera. Head to the office area and kill all the bodyguards to get the gate key. Unlock the gate before you go to the office. Make sure to clear out the office safe and drawer and head to the main objective. You then just go out the gate and kill the guards at the main gate and leave. Once outside you head left to the helicopter pad and into the ocean. Your scuba gear is still equipped so you just swim away into the night without anyone knowing you were there. Works literally %100 of the time once you get the route down.
At the end don't just swim as far as you can. Swim right to the bombs in a triangle, this is the trigger point and saves a lot of time
Also you can kill anyone in the mansion that is not on the path of the juggernaut or under a camera.
And if you kill the guys you let live in the "tower" you have a big chance you'll get the gate key and don't need to hack as much.
8:50 I don't think it's a bug, you just need to pay attention to the mini-map. As you were shooting the guy on the stairs up top there was a guy down below, who somehow must've heard that kill and that's what broke the stealth.
Conspirator is a better weapon choice. Aggressor is a machine pistol and auto shotgun. Conspirator has the rifle you want to make the shots you're doing.

You don't always have to take out that guy in the car. I managed to do this by just riding straight off. You just have to be quick about it
Funnily enough this change didn't change my compound route at all and it still works just as well as after the change. Only issue I had was after leaving the compound the guy in the jeep saw that one dead guard near the bike.
And I used to go directly to the compound and get the secondary targets from the nearby dock and escape with a boat but I also changed my route where I go to the airport first and then to the compound and escape by jumping in the water. I might also try to see could I in addition grab stuff from the dock safely if I get good loot spawns there.
Exactly the same for me. Struggled for hours over 3 gold with a friend and when we rage quit, I tried it on my own and just didn't kill as many people. That plus killing the people in the Jeep to the left outside compound. Went really smoothly and made about 1.7 mil or so after I ran to get bag full of coke.

Being alerted at 9:02 has always happened for me so I do the melee attack (while aiming) and don’t get caught
its because the guard underneath hears when you shoot him because they are so close to each other (even though they are through the floor)
New changes didnt effect anything for me, although I had been caught by dead bodies before, I was surprised to hear they "changed" that. A trick I always used and still use is to get far away. From what I have noticed is that they only trigger dead bodies if youre within range. I have always killed the guy on the bike and shot down to the main dock to steal a boat as its faster than swimming. I can still kill the guy at the bike and go to the main dock without them noticing because I get far enough away fast enough for them to no longer be loaded in.

Correct, I mostly use the velum approach and kill every guard at the airport then quickly get away on bike and never got detected even after the update.
You only need to grab that motorbike and swim a very short distance to a triangle of mines (no need to kill the guard patrolling in a jeep) - much faster than riding all the way to the Main Dock and stealing a boat and driving it quite far.
The bug you were talking about is intentional, you should melee attack him with your gun, to not alert anyone, and not shoot him. Though he can scream, it somehow doesn’t alert them.
I think the guards that spawn after you raid el rubios vault should be limited at least on the inside cause I don't mind a little shootout at the end on my way to the main dock

Please do a guide for safe routes inside the compound for Gold/Painting secondary targets from all 3 outbuilding locations.
There's still a lot of people doing this heist with friends and going for the higher value compound secondary loots.
That is where this latest change has increased in difficulty the most, particularly with the spawning of additional guards once you collect the Primary target.
You can have one person take the primary target with this route, then have the others kill people afterwards for the keycards because new people only spawn after the primary target
Just kill the juggernaut early and take the secondary loot before the primary loot (which triggers a new set of guards spawning). I've done it several times without problem since the DLC.
This was more a request for a foolproof guide for anyone to be able to jump in and still complete elite challenge with only compound loot....
Eg:
The safest and shortest route to take and order to kill each guard, that passes all the possible loot locations and still completes comfortably within elite time frame is as follows....
(Insert foolproof instructional tutorial here)
For more direct run throughs once you know your way round and only want to go via the stops that you need to make, or if you don't have enough secondaries in the compound to fill your bags and need to allow time for island pick ups as well, to make your own route here's what you need to know in detail:
Guards A, and B are patrolling guards, their routes pass guards C, D and E, so don't kill them unless you've taken out A and B guards first.
After collecting the primary, new guards X, Y and Z will appear here, here and here, within their line of sight is the original guards F, G and H, so make sure you don't kill these guys before collecting the primary.
All the others are fine to kill at any time that you may need to cross their paths on your route to collecting whichever loot spawns you got.
The point of a guide is to give specific instructions for anyone to be able to complete the objective.... Just as this video does for a solo run or duo+ run if you're collecting island secondaries and not compound ones.
If you just pistol whip the guard on the steps to el Rubios office you don’t alert the guards
You can actually use the drainage tunnel without a rebreather if you’re quick. I usually get to the end of the tunnel after half my health is gone from drowning, also I did this one last night and I melee killed all three of the the red vision guards, the first one while he’s by the gate and never got caught, maybe you only get caught for shooting them but the jug won’t see the first one if he’s looking out the gate when you kill him
