I would love long, in depth video lectures! I’m pursuing a career as a football coach, and I always want to learn more about the game. I do have one question. If you utilized the free safety as your backside OLB, could you then run the 4-4 as a sort of 4-3 hybrid?
We could use your mind at dunbar high in fort myers fl. We really want to win states but they dnt pay coaches much to get good coaches. We so desperate
Thank you. I feel your pain. I have coached for many years in Florida and the pay is awful especially considering the amount of time you put in. I would say find coaches who are willing to learn and have not been jaded by the business and teach them. Go to colleges or other high schools with coaches you respect and pick their brain. Then go put it in practice.
@@CoachGeneClemons I'm actually just a student on the team. I just look at film study in my spare time to get better. We are even trying to get all the best players in the city to come to 1 school here at dunbar and see if that would help us but we cnt have all this talent here and no one to coach it and my mom wnt let me move to Miami. I just want to win states so bad. I know I cnt do it by myself and I only got 2 more years
I would sure hate to see a trips formation while in a 80 def. Especially if if they in shotgun loaded left or pistol backfield. Best thing I can think to do as a MLB is make a call a slant strong and blitz that weak side OLB to the C gap, or just let him take his read step to the C gap. But idk though.
You like gut pressure, huh? Lol. But what if they run speed option to the loaded side? I faced this guy in high school who was a monster at QB. He was so athletic it wasn't even funny. We absolutely HAD to set that edge if nothing else. This summagun was fast!
Good afternoon. I'm 43 but yes I'm still playing semi pro. keeps me in shape and my body can still go! with that said, run your 4-4 with a strong safety as your weak side so you're not out manned if they spread you out. He gives you an athletic chance on swing passes to his side and he provides versatility. I hope that helped. Try to find your best personnel mix too. Good luck on your season. Peace.
@@bigwyze2155 In a 80, there's only one deep safety and I would rather him shading to the overload side in about a 4 technique over the guard. But I could be wrong.
You mentioned this could be a three hour, in-depth video... I would watch!
Thank you. I am planning to do a some live videos that are longer.
Thank you
I'm definitely a fan of your content this is good stuff I liked and subscribed and I will share.. please keep up the great work
Thank you
Awesome job coach 🤙💪

I'm not really sure. I think that would have to be schemed up correctly so there are no coverage busts.
@@CoachGeneClemons that makes sense. Thank you!
@@CoachGeneClemonsalso a agree with your assessment coach

Great video but next time, kill the background music!
That video was from years ago. Actually one of my first. My son told me the same thing.
It's all good coach! It was still a great video of how to run the 4-4 defense, very easy to understand.
Coach make a video on the 4-2-5.
I've got you!
Thank your for this. I only played runningback so never really learned anything about defense
Yessir
Sorry coach I’m late to the channel but did I miss the video on the single wing offense?
I did one on the campfire single wing but I don't know if I did one on the single wing. I will put on up. Thanks.
Hi Mr Clemons!
Lose the music
Great video! Especially for new youth coaches
Thank you
I agree and coach is this a similar scheme to the 46 defense?
@@manuellozano7882 It depends on how you employ it but there is definitely similarity.
This helped so much
Thank you!
Very helpful and awesome video

Very helpful and awesome video
Thank you sir
I think you did a good job on coaching it but the music is more distracting then helpful to me.
I was taking the advice of my son. I didn't like it either.

Good stuff thanks coach!
damn it feel goods to be a gangster
is that the background music?
No but I wish. RUclips would have flagged me immediately.
You can pass all day on that defense. You playing man free, so you go linebackers trying play recievers.

I would probably check 2 read to the trips, man the backside solo receiver, and blitz the mike on an A-gap twist.

DE has QB, LB has Back, FS has Alley support and of course the other linebacker scraping.
