I recently tried the Bulldog Mexican Ceveza with dissapointing results. Came out a couple of shades darker and more of an ale than lager. Have made Coopers European and also Australian Lagers with much better results. All made in a heated fridge, so temperature was good. Keep up the good work 👍
That's a pitty. We have found that the Bulldog Brews kits are not at all forgiving, but the results have in general been good. The darker beer sounds like oxidation, it might not be, but colour is one of the things it changes. keep brewing and thanks for watching.
Hi from Ireland New sub here great review last spring I made a coopers cerveza and was impressed so great to see bulldog is a good one I get most of my kits from up north geterbrewed I've tried evil dog and badcat from bulldog very nice very strong!! Thanks lads 👍
Hello! I cannot recommend the Bulldog Cerveza highly enough, I think we're both keen to do it again. Evil Dog and Bad Cat are regular brews for both of us. Very tasty and, as you say, they do pack a punch! Thanks for watching!
Great videos lads. I have a gallon demijohn and a 1l demijohn both brewinf mead (first time brewing anything)... I find your videos really uaeful and will give this a go!
Do you know if these kits can be scaled down, ie so i can make 4l batches? Cheers
This is a fantastic beer. I am sure there are now some smaller kits on the market, 10ltr or so, but we have not tried them. Good luck with your brews, and thanks for watching.

I've seen 2 companies that do the small batchs, "overmyloof" and "Malt Miller"
Apparently you can just scale things down; just half the percentages etc... I just wondered as if you're scaling up a curry, you don't just double the spices 🤣

There's a differing of opinion on this. I think this is brilliant. My favourite homebrew lager. Anders

Thank you so much for that. I can't speak for Nige but I know he was a huge fan of this but Coopers 86 is damn fine too. Give it a go and let us know what happens.
Nige here, I think for me the Coopers 86 day pilsner was probably my fav. However that Bulldog kit is very good, also the Hammer of Thor from Bulldog Brews, when that has matured it was awesome, with a bit of punch! We reviewed the coopers pilsner again on part 1 of the beer kit festival.
Thanks Nige...love your show, keep it up. I have done a 86 day pilsner, it was nice, but I was new at brewing, so used the yeast with the kit, brewed at room temp. But it was really really nice. I've just but a king chubby so can brew under pressure, so got a sounding valve and I'm brewing with 34/70 so should be good. First time using hybrid yeast....Will do a Cooper's next. I'm a lager man but done some great Cooper's stout's. Now I can ferment under pressure I think lager lager....thanks so much for the reply. As I said I'm a big fan of your show. Don't stop. Keep showing interesting stuff like festival beers, was great. Maybe do a lager using different yeasts 😃 and spunding
