I like the concept of these video. I was too young to enjoy moments like this and seeing that old skool Steam skin is so refreshing as I never knew what'd Steam look like back then. I wonder how long they use that interface before switching the boring black interface.

When this beta came out it was so difficult to get good performance in the game I remember, even though I had a pretty decent computer. Didnt take long until I gave up with the low FPS and went back to 1.6. Now recently started with CS 2 after many years of break.
IMO source was the best cs ever made , the bullet registration was best on that game , I play cs since it was 1.5 , i liked 1.5 on the ui and weapon skins oldish , cs 1.6 remains a classic and great game , but overall I liked the most this source... the engine of that game is pure gold.
by far cs:s is the best cs ever made, no questions asked, haters will hate

I find the weapon models to look better in CSS, than the default skins in GO. CS2 is a bit better, but Source just looks so clean yet rugged. And yes as you say, the feel of combat is perfect. Was so disappointed when they took the staying ragdolls out of CS2 and the wound decals.
I think it goes like this for me: CSS is my most nostalgic. I love it so much. Everything you say about it is true. I just like CSGO a little bit more. CS2 so far is slightly worse than both, but I think the head hitboxes being source sized is going to make CS2 a lot of fun. It almost feels like a CSGO/Source hybrid already since it's basically CSGO with bigger heads and a buffed deagle. It just needs polish and some new content and maps and stuff and it will be pretty good I'm hoping.
This new Source engine looks so realistic, I can see it powering Counter-Strike games for 15 years to come at least !

Might look pretty in 2004, but then it became awkwardly obsolete until like CoD4 was released, and this game was not in priority for Valve like at all.
If there were an official backport of Source models (+ maps + camera model) for 1.6...

There are too many problems in this video to make it feel real. Resolution is too high, it should be lower and 4:3 and the video souldn't be 1080x60fps

how do u use old steam on windows xp i have a hard time to get everything working on a normal pc
Using Steam Emulator, use LAN ip as Server IP
@@ZnifferN i tried what you told me but if i change the server ip to my lan ip steam doesnt know where the steam server is hosted so i just crashes
@@ZnifferN also i try to go to the steam store throught the old steam but ie tells me that it couldn't find the ip
