I haven't owned a car for 66 years,I've been riding a bike since I was five and I still do. I just admire cars from America. At that time,the USSR had three models of cars for workers at a crazy price, a salary for 5 years.

That somewhat of a normal looking Yellow Firebird(other than the engine being inside the windshield) belongs to Ken Blocks lead mechanic Gregg and his vision of a garage built Hoonicorn. The reason the engine is sitting so far back is not only weight distribution but even better; clearance for the skyline GT-R AWD drivetrain hidden below the surface! So next time you see it, I suggest taking a closer look. Cool dude and one of a kind car ! Lives in Vegas

The yellow type R trans am is an absolute beast.I think Ken Block,s mechanic built and ownes it. Skyline gtR 4wd driveline and the fabrication to the front diff is crazy. Hello from Oz

Gorgeous machines. What is it though with some staffers - somebody hands them a shirt & a fluorescent vest & they think they're on the Nimitz directing fighter jets. Not so much in this particular video, But it's something I've definitely noticed. Lotta times they'll get all touchy feely with entrants' machines as they pull in. Lean over & touch a vehicle of mine like that & you'll pull back something partial. Seriously.

Nice camera work, I live north of vegas and I got a couple of pictures of them refueling in tonopah, Pretty crazy rides. One gentlemen I talked from Detroit said that they had to swap the motor the night before, What an enthusiast.

@@280zone you know they are rats right? its not the same as touching other "show cars" rats are for fun and are never worth what is put in them "for the most part". Rat owners are typically cool peeps and have no problem with touching their car..
@@garymccollough1780 Yes, I understand they are "rats", check the video at 27:30 then also watch as no other staff felt the need to touch every car they came into contact with. You are correct us Rat (and show car owners) don't have a problem showing our cars and if invited to touch and even climb right in.... if invited.

the green engine, is a Deutz, air cooled diesel.

@@RodderFiles yes, a F5L912 Deutz engine. Putting roughly 70kW to the crank ... But therefore often making 20.000hrs and more. Often used in Tractors like Deutz DX90 and gensets around 50kVA.

@g baker no turbo on the whole 912 engine series . The engines don't like turbocharging, turbocharged versions were available in the later 913 engine series.

This entire movement is all because of what the Shifters So Cal started ,back in the early 1990s,but does it wrong. I wish those days were back, as they were the only guys doing it, and doing it right. I saw their cars with vintage Caddy, Olds,Pontiac, & Flatheads! This video shows guys with overly channeled , rusty,crap piles, to the point where they're out of proportioned. And what's this fad with building "semi" (loosely stated) traditional rods, and installing modern looking engines in them?
Things Change with every generation.. Change is inevitable ......
