@@edwardabrams4972 FalconStrike with liquid has to be softer shooting than Limbsaver. Maybe by a small margin but still I bet the FalconStrike would absorb more recoil. Now whether the gun moves sideways or squirms more one way or the other with the FalconStrike I would have to try one and see about that. For me and my 20" barreled Remington 11 with a decent foam pad that looks to be a Limbsaver that runs slugs, buck and hi base # 4's to lay down poppers in 2-3 gun matches, I would say even a small reduction in recoil is worth the extra dollars. I also know the FalconStrike would be softer on my sporterized 03-A3 30-06 with it's 54 year old Pachmayr pad and I will be buying one for that rifle.
It absolutely works. I put one on a 12ga. O/U that had a pretty nasty recoil. Now it shoots like a dream. I also had a 13 year old shooter try it and he felt very little recoil. Great great product. I highly recommend it for older shooters like myself.
I’m an avid trapshooter. I have guns fitted with the following recoil absorption devices: ISIS, ProSoft, RAD, PFS and Wenig Recoil System. All of them work very well - and all of them are quite expensive, $500 or more. The Falcon strike is a less expensive and quick option to help take some off the bite out of your recoil. No, it doesn’t absorb recoil as well as the aforementioned systems. However it does work well enough to allow me to shoot over 300 rounds per day. I really like my Falcon Strike pads. Easy to install and it just works.
I don't have to worry about recoil b/c I put Falcon Strikes on both of my Go-2's; a Franchi Instinct Side Plate 12 Gauge and a matching (both stocks milled from the same billet of gorgeous walnut) 20 Gauge Side Plate. The Falcon Strikes made the LOPs on both guns perfect and recoil, especially on the 12 Gauge, is negligible on both guns also. Pre-Falcon Strike install, I had the identical problem with my 12 Gauge Franchi as Steve referred to; sore cheek halfway through a box of shells. I shot two rounds of 5 Stand and two rounds of Skeet with the 12 last Saturday (100+ shotshells) and suffered no ill effects whatsoever; no shoulder bruise, no sore cheek and no detached retinas!
Sharing another technique to grind the metal plate. I installed the plate and covered the stock with 2 layers of masking tape, to protect it. Sanded the metal plate using a few strips of 150 grit sandpaper, wrapped around a small wood block. Positioned the sandpaper strip about ⅜ inch below block's top edge. That way, I could have the block’s top edge “sliding” on the masking tape, while the sandpaper below was sanding the metal, progressively matching the stock's shape and angle. I originally thought about polishing the metal plate edge, but was pleased with the “brushed aluminum” look finishing strokes of 150 grit gave.
I used to try to not think about recoil, even though I'd sometimes got bruises. But I'm getting older, and want much less recoil pain! I'd love to try the Falconstrike.
Thank you for a great demonstration and review of the Falconstrike pad. I too am in the minimal recoil club after having an autoimmune illness that greatly affected my shoulders and back. Thanks again, I appreciate you and enjoy your channel.

I could benefit by using a Falcon Strike. I’m 77 and suffer with allot pain when shooting. I bought an automatic to lessen recoil but since the last dislocation it’s painful to even shoot it. Haven’t shot my over/under because of the recoil in years. Thanks I watch your videos regularly.
Served over 20 years in the Army and you had to suck it up and shoot what you had provided to you. After several shoulder surgeries I just can't take the heavy recoil from some of my favorite shotguns anymore. It has actually gotten to the point that I don't even turkey hunt anymore. I have tried several cheap recoil pads but nothing really seems to help much. I have been considering purchasing a better recoil pad but the expense has stop me from trying them.
Years ago my father inlaw took me shooting clays for the first time. I had the hand me down Silver pigeon, wasn't horrible with light loads. A Teknys was in the safe the next trip out and was great. Next trip the Teknys was sold and I was handed a SBE and we went to my first Sporting clays field. 3 shots in and I tapped out. I'm not sure if it was heavier loads or what but that thing was kicking. We spent the rest of the course passing his cynergy with a JS airstock back and forth.
I have shot trap for a few years now. I never had an issue with recoil. Unfortunately in June of this year I had a heart attack. I am now on blood thinners and I bruise very easily. I shoot a Browning Citori XT. I am struggling with pain and bruising. I also do not want to extend my LOP either.. I’ll check Falcon Strike. I have a thinner Kick Eze on now, and it’s not helping enough.
Steve, I am in the camp of minimizing recoil via a number of methods-gun fit, gun weight, good recoil pad, sensible shells ( why shoot 32 gram cartridges at sporting clays, for example), and proper gun mount. Perry P., SoCal, USA
Recoil generally doesn't bother me. However, I just purchased a new Winchester SXP Hybrid 12g recently. I took my son out to shoot some clays and let me tell you my shoulder and cheek are sore!! I saw this video and now I'd like to try one of those Falconstrike pads!
As I get older, I appreciate less recoil, it saves me taking an ibuprofen after a long day at the range. I could seriously use this to enjoy days on the range more.
Recoil didn't use to bother me. Now years down the road and 25 years of trades work I want the least felt recoil I can get. Keep up the awesome videos.
I got a brand new Beretta 300 Ultima and there is basically no recoil at all on a 20 gauge amazing gun on target easy to swing got more dove this year than ever highly recommend it

You are the only one, in the past few years, who has reviewed the falconstrike recoil pad. I have found no other video reviews. Emailing the company has been useless because I get no response. Are there no other reviews anywhere that aren't biased? And is there a return policy? $200 is a lot to spend on something I will never use, but if it works then it is worth it to me.
I just recently got back into trap shooting after over 20 years. I have beautiful a late 70's Wingmaster. 100 rounds of 12 guage guage later I felt like Mike Tyson was pounding on my shoulder. I could sure benefit from a Falconstrike!
I love your channel I am just getting back into trap shooting/ clay shooting I am not a fan of recoil I own a Remington 870 field master, shotgun and just bought a stoeger condor over under. I also love your podcast I just started listening but love it. God bless let’s all live a TFL.
My cousin had shoulder surgery a few years ago and has a lot of problems with our waterfowl hunting. I'm going to forward this to him and see if it helps him out, thank you.
I find it amazing that with as much shooting as you do, it seems as though you don’t understand the relationship between the shells you are shooting and felt recoil. Recoil has very little to with the gun and everything to do with the dynamics of the shell you choose. To oversimplify: Shoot a heavy load through a light gun and you will feel more recoil. Shoot a light shell through a heavy gun and recoil will be reduced. This is why many used guns with the title “light” or “ultralight” will often have cracked stocks or other issues, they aren’t meant to take the abuse of heavier loads, they break down quicker and will usually have far more felt recoil, unless we are talking about auto loaders which do absorb some recoil.
I have been involved with cancer treatment for 6 years, lost weitht and strentght. I'm 74 and have shot a lot over the years. Now I cannot handle recoil. will be checking out. Hope it is a good as your say as need something so I can resume shooting. Shoot with Franchi Instinct SL 12Ga and 16 Ga. I must have something to reduce recoil.
300 win mag is about where I notice I can comfortably shoot rifles without flinching and 12 gauge 3” turkey loads. Shot a 10 gauge pump at skeet that kicked like a mule and did not enjoy shooting it and a lightweight .338 win mag at the range that also kicked like a mule. While hunting though, I never seem to notice recoil when shooting at game.
I’m looking for less recoil. When I was young I didn’t even notice. After 40 years of mechanical work with rotator cuff problems, tendinitis etc and still in love with shotgun shooting I need some help. I’ve installed a Kickeez on my TB and a Pachmayr on my Red Label. Both helpful but would love to try the Falcon strike. It may be the ticket.
I'd love to try out a Falcon Strike on my Benelli M2 slug gun, recoil used to not bother me, but it's getting harder and harder to throw rounds down range without hurting afterwards!
Going into my later years, recoil is becoming more noticeable, especially on long day at the range. I would like to try one of Falconstrike on my shotgun. I appreciate all of your videos you put out. Keep up the good work!
I have a Remington model 1100 there’s absolutely no recoil pad on the back, just a piece of plastic. I gotta get aFalcon strike for that. They look like great quality.
Falcon Strike, after watching many of your videos last year or so, I hate excessive recoil, so I just bought one for a CVC 12 gauge sporting clays over under, like you I loved the gun but after a box of shells I sat it down and really haven’t shot it much because of the recoil I would flinch! So I called Falcon Strike, ended up talking to the owner, he is gentleman and helped pick the right pad! I took my gun and new pad and wanted it done by a gunsmith, I haven’t got it back yet, as soon as I get it, I will go to our local gun club and shoot it! I can’t wait, thanks for your input! I plan to buy one for my beretta 303 trap gun if it works on my over under! And how do you put one on an Franchi Affinity 3, with odd shape at the butt??? Thanks again!
I would benefit from a Falcon Strike pad. After duck hunts I normally have a swollen cheek from the recoil. I also messed my shoulder up last October and it has been sore after shooting this year.
I’m definitely in the reduced recoil camp. Just had a shoulder surgery and trying to get back into shooting but I need something to reduce the recoil on my 12ga o/u before I can bring it to the range
Recoil isn't a huge issue for me, but I hunt and shoot trap/skeet regularly with a 12 gauge Benelli M2, and I've had two shoulder surgeries on my right shoulder, so I suspect the impact of the recoil on that shoulder will take its toll sooner rather than later. I've been looking to buy a Falcon Strike pad, but have been procrastinating, and worried it wouldn't fit quite right. This video really helped alleviate most of my worries about that though. Thanks!
Anyone that’s recoil sensitive a Benelli should be their last choice. Those guns are inertia driven and kick way harder than something like a browning or beretta that are gas. I’ve had them all and I bet I’ve had at least 6 different benellis over the years and after breaking my neck in 07 in a bad ATV accident having both my old SX2 and my beloved Benelli cordoba and shooting at my buddies farm for 2 days cleaning up access ducks, we shot over 130 ducks and man I was tired the afternoon of the 2nd day, both guns with me, the heavier and has operated SX2 Was by far the clear winner and as much as my trusty cordoba had been to me, I knew without a doubt i would no longer ever own another inertia 12. That was about 10yrs ago and every time on the sporting clay courses someone offers me to shoot their new Benelli I’ll shoot it but definitely reaffirms they kick like a mule, tnx but no tnx. YMMW
@@FYMM69 Well, the options available here in Japan are very limited, so Benelli is the way to go. You're not even allowed to try a gun before you buy it here to see if the recoil is too much anyway. I'm also 274 lbs and have quite a bit of muscle so the recoil really doesn't even register to me for the most part. Then again, I'm not out shooting 50 field load slugs in a row for practice here. Though, if the laws were more relaxed I would be shooting far more often.
I’m not too macho to admit that I don’t love recoil. Especially between pairs on the sporting clays course. I may consider a falconstrike for an older Citori I have been restoring. Thanks!
Would love to try one of these on my 686. Pain never used to bother me. Now with the 686, punch on the face. I sent you the request for the falconstrike on a tsk-c stock. Show a little love for the up north community 🇨🇦
Awesome video, I’m in the camp of less is better anymore. 2 shoulder surgeries and potentially having a 3rd surgery on the same arm makes me want to keep the recoil to a minimum. Been looking at these since your first video on them.
I'm 72 with major surgery on rotator cuff and reattached bicep and chest muscle. I bought a Baretta A400 12 gauge and it's a bit hard on the shoulder, but I find myself getting hit in the cheek a lot with the stock. My question is will this pad stop the gun from hitting my cheek or do you think this is a fit problem?
I'm on my 3rd microcore Beretta pad because they keep breaking down (beretta says its from cleaning chemical or bug spray) Next time I need a pad I'll give this a shot.
Middle of the road - I usually don't even notice it since I'm focused on the other end of the gun. By the way, your review on the Retay Gordion kept me from purchasing one from a local dealer 🙂. If it can't cycle every shell every time then I have no need for it.
I shoot quite a lot! Trap and Rifle. For years I have had a terrible flinch with any gun. Let alone the sore shoulder as I am pretty much a walking skeleton......no meat on my collar bone!. I have built many custom stocks for myself and used the Limb Saver pads. They work OK. But I tried the Falcon Strike one time and I was pleasantly surprised. Way better than the Limb Saver for reduced recoil. I have since bought three more for my 45-70.....308 rifle.....CZ over/under 12ga. ....and my Kreighoff O/U trap gun. All of these additions to these guns no make shooting them pleasurable. No more Pain and No more Flinching! I look at it this way......if gonna spend the long buck to buy them why not buy a great recoil reduction pad to compliment your prized possessions for $200. I see many guys spending $20K for a gun and $2000 for custom stock and too cheap to add a Falcon Strike. Makes no sense to me. I am only writing this because this invention is the best money I have ever spent! I can shoot all day with the best of them and have no pain as a result.
Recoil never stopped me from shooting but everyone can get back on target faster with less recoil. If given a falcanstrike, I would definitely use it. And like you, most shotguns are too "short" in the LOP area
I am a high volume sporting clay shooter to practice for bird season. My shotgun is a light SxS which is great for hunting but beats me up when shooting clays. After 3 boxes I no longer enjoy it. I’ve tried various gun recoil pads as well as shoulder pads worn in clothing. All help somewhat but nothing solves the problem. Maybe Falcon Strike is the answer? Thanks for your videos, they are very informative.
I’m in the middle of, doesn’t bother me but I’m sure a Falcon strike pad would help with recoil and getting on second shots in the blind faster. Great video
When u talk about recoil which shotgun cartrigees do you use in uk we use lighter loads 28 gran 27 gram and 24 gram to shoot all sporting clays and all disaplins lots ive these loads are made from easy shooting to high performance try a few find which is comftable
Hey thanks for video happen to be looking for something to help with recoil last spring found out lots of degeneration in left side of neck, afraid to shoot in recovery for about 10 months now and would like to get back to shooting your video came in perfect timing. Thanks again. Will check out falcon strike.
Love the idea you can have less felt recoil but still the same power. Shooting shotgun especially, All that recoil into your shoulder starts getting to you after a few rounds. It kinda scares me to take the gun out knowing I'm gonna get kicked each time I pull that trigger.
I love hunting /shot gunning /shooting sports but I've had my shoulder rebuild twice ,I switched from recoil operated shotguns to gas gun I love my sx4 but less recoil would be great , thinking about ordering one but not cheap but I'm for less recoil myself
Love your channel and your advice. And thank you for this video. I'm now in the " I hate recoil" group. I'm 64, recently retired and getting back into shooting. I had rotator cuff/torn bicep surgery a year ago and I thought I was ready. My current sporting clays gun is a Beretta 686 and it kicks like a horse. I truly hate shooting it.50 rounds and my shoulder is killing me. So I'm shopping around and looking for advice. I'm even concidering dropping to 20 ga. Or do I install a Falcon Strike ? My BT-99 trap gun is awesome tho and doesn't hurt at all.
I’m old with a pacemaker that’s next to my shoulder so I can’t have hardly any recoil. Switched to the 410 and sometimes a 3/4oz 20ga load. Btw my 3/4oz 20’s reload works better than the 28ga.
Recoil is a part of shooting. That being said I want to do everything possibly can that is reasonable to reduce recoil. I do t get the guys that try to act macho about recoil, less recoil literally will make you a better shooter!
Im not a fan of recoil. Im not the best shot so a fast follow up shot is very important to me. I’d love to try a falcon strike as ive got a 16ga stevens 555 that fits me like a glove and points wherever im looking when I shoulder it, but man does it kick the crap outta my face, so bad that I wake up with a sore neck the next day after a livley afternoon dove hunt.
It depends on the gun for me. My waterfowl guns recoil doesn't bother me but shooting my o/u weatherby orion with browning bxd, my shoulder kills. I could see having a recoil pad on that.
I have had 3 open heart surgeries purchased a Winchester 20 gauge semi SX4 Upland Field, I still getting pretty beat up...any advice would be greatful. Thank you
I ordered one for my new benelli m2 after watching your review on the shotgun saying if you where going to run that shotgun you would and a falconstrike on it.
I had a sgoulder replacement do to car accident and had to switch to 20 ga .. every shot hurts so bad makes me cringe ..i have to try something new !!❤
I’m in the camp that says recoil is a necessary evil, so the less the better. It would be interesting to put this on my Affinity 20ga, which gets a like painful after 50 clays.
never had an issue with recoil when hunting as I dont really feel it when hunting so i guess that puts me in the "I love recoil" camp lol. Prove me wrong!
i just got a CZ over and under and first day of shooting trap im all bruised up already lol ! sounds like i need one of these falconstrikes ! but 200 it quite a bit to solve this issue for sure.
I've never had issues with recoil. My citori and mossberg have been great. I will give you a honest evaluation, but I don't see how this would make that much of a difference versus proper mount. But hey....I might be wrong.
I am in the group that says " I am not going to spend nearly 200 for a recoil pad when there are cheaper and effective alternatives."

Less recoil is always a benefit! Great video.
Have been spending time with my Weatherby 20g Orion. My cheek is bruised! Would like less pain in the recoil! Will check out the Falcon Strike.
I could benefit from a falcon strike! The recoil does build up over a day of shooting five stand or sporting clays.
Browning BPS is kicking with the waterfowl loads
A FalconStirke can only help! 👊 Stay Target 🎯Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)
Just got over my 3rd knee surgery......pain is my freind, bring it on!
I'd love to try one for me and my daughter. She loves shotguns and I know we would both benefit from this.
Being new into the field of trap & skeet, less recoil would be the best!
I’m in the middle of, doesn’t bother me but I’m sure a Falcon strike pad would help with recoil and getting on second shots in the blind faster. Great video
Less recoil is better than more. I’d like to try the falcon strike products on my 12 gauge
The recoil of my Mossberg 535 doesn't usually bother me with my day-to-day loads, but heavy loads get brutal quick.
As I am getting older I do notice recoil more, all my hunting is waterfowl so shooting heavier loads, I would like to try a Falcon strike recoil pad.
I'm a 14 year old trap shooter & had a shoulder injury a couple of years ago. After 50 rounds, my shoulder starts to hurt pretty bad. I need one!
Less recoil is always better. I shoot mostly 20 gauge these days, or my SX4 in 12 gauge.
I'm in the group that has a previous injury. Hyper extended rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder.
You can get used to it, but it can hurt you regardless. I’ve had permanent injuries from excessive recoil from high powered rifles.
Do a segment on the proper shooting glasses. What colors work best in all situations!!! Go deep brother!!!
I wood love to try a falcon strike recoil pad. After a long day of trap shooting my shoulder really starts to get sore.
never had an issue with recoil when hunting as I dont really feel it when hunting so i guess that puts me in the "I love recoil" camp lol. Prove me wrong!
Is Falcon strike more efficient in recoil reduction than a Sorbothane pad by KE?
i just got a CZ over and under and first day of shooting trap im all bruised up already lol ! sounds like i need one of these falconstrikes ! but 200 it quite a bit to solve this issue for sure.
I would love less recoil from my Retay please!!😊
Remington V3 has the nicest factory recoil pad I've ever experienced.
I've never had issues with recoil. My citori and mossberg have been great. I will give you a honest evaluation, but I don't see how this would make that much of a difference versus proper mount. But hey....I might be wrong.
I'm definitely in the camp of reducing recoil as much as possible
Between shoulder surgery and the price of ammunition for not conditioning to the recoil. I would love to try a falcon strike.
I have a BR110 Sporter. What is the before and after length of pull? I'm thinking about getting a falcon strike.
Love your content, best utuber out there for shotguns.....
I’m in the I don’t know camp. The next day I know. Shoulder and cheek hurt. I’d like a Falcon Strike! No doubt!
Got a Falcon Strike for my SX4. Not Impressed.
