hi three! I've noticed in the last couple episodes you haven't been very confident that your communicating the processes that you're recording to us effectively. As someone who has watched all of season 2 from episode 1 I can say your communications skills are just fine! You do your best to carefully and thoughtfully explain what you're doing and why you're doing it and how you intend it to function. You've been doing a great job on this don't doubt yourself. Thank you for all the amazing content since you came back. Always excited to watch a new episode the second it comes out. Really appreciate the monstrous amounts of effort and patience this has taken to get this all together. Have a great day!
It's also not easy to explain either way, especially if you're not playing any Gregtech Pack. Kind of like teaching someone engine maintenance when they never saw a car.
The series progressively getting longer episodes makes me think about how long episodes will be when we end. It started with 30 minute videos and progressively increased to 1 hour. Just waiting for the 5 hour marathon video. Just don’t burn yourself out, I know gregtech and editing can be a rough combo sometimes.
If I'm being honest the longer eps are actually probably easier. He is mostly just cutting and putting clips together now and I like it but it's lower effort.
I don't intend for them to average more than 1 hour. It's difficult to get everything into an episode and also include my thoughts along the way, as I don't want the video to just be: ' here's what I built, ok bye'. :)
Ore processing is one of those things you really need to keep on top of, especially when you add bees that produce purified ore passively, because ore that is stuck in a chest isn't doing you any good. Fix power, fix resource income/processing, fix crafting capacity, and you can basically do whatever you want. One multi that Three forgot was the Forge Hammer, which - for the purposes of ore processing - is to the macerator what the simple washer is to the ore washing plant. The Forge Hammer multiblock, the Industrial Sledgehammer, is available in IV, but requires a touch of Thaumcraft to fully max out (specifically a Void Metal Anvil). If you're behind on TC progression you can substitute a Dark Steel Anvil for slightly fewer parallels, but still a *significant* improvement over single block forge hammers. If only insofar as being able to use Stocking Input Buses, ME Output Hatches, etc. If you're producing nuggets through bees having Alloy Smelters (probably the most convenient solution) to automatically convert those nuggets into ingots is also something to consider. The concept of using a one chunk "corridor" from which all of your various processing rooms branch off is a valid idea for a base with AE2 you intend to tear down later. And this is GTNH, so completely rebuilding your base is bound to happen more than once. The benefit of this design is simply the ability to completely cut off entire rooms by breaking a single cable, at which point unloading the chunks said rooms occupy cannot cause issues RE: flickering where something isn't loaded and causes the entire AE2 system to have to recalculate itself whenever it's loaded or unloaded manually. It's a very space inefficient design that doesn't lend itself well to GT's cable loss mechanic or any sort of verticality, but done well it can be extremely organized. The Lathe multi, for those curious, is the Large Processing Factory, AKA the 9-in-1 rabbithole of a multi that Three could work towards right now...but it is, as said, a rabbithole. Rest assured that the logistics of ore processing is a proper convoluted mess, considering that it's interconnected with multiple different system up to and including the dozen-odd separate parts of itself. That's basically one of the main challenges of GT: Very little is a fully isolated system, especially if you don't go out of your way to build systems to be fully isolated by design, so you end up having to manage everything such that one issue in one system doesn't cause the entire factory to grind to a halt. Signs you are not ready to craft an Assembly Line: Staring at 40 HV circuits and thinking "oh boy that is expensive" 🙃. Also at this point you should be able to comfortably start crafting 1024K storage components, in case you wish to future proof your ore processing system a bit more. Is it worthwhile? Who knows, but if you've got the resources and power to throw at stuff there's worse things to throw them at than ore processing. You can color wireless connectors the same way you can color cables, but you have to use a Color Applicator from AE2 in order to do so. It won't visually change the look of the wireless connector, but it will list it's dyed color in WAILA. Thank Ghost for that bit of knowledge, BTW, I actually had no idea that was possible either 🙃. Same with using Snowballs in Color Applicators to apply Fluix/undyed as a color. I did mention that the logistics of ore processing is complicated, right? Did I forget to mention some of the systems it interconnects with may or may not exist, depending on what choices you've made and what you have set up, leading to other systems going from critically important to redundant or something in between? Welcome to GTNH, where gathering thousands upon thousands of ores is the *easy* part. One very good example of your needs drastically changing ore processing priorities is Ruby Juice. Initially Ruby Juice is a fantastic process that - barring extremely random Sifting luck - about triples the Chrome yield of ruby ore. And Chrome, of course, is a critical component of Stainless Steel as well as Kanthal and Nichrome. However this process does not yield any actual ruby dust, which is used for Energium Dust, which is used for Lapotron dust, which is used for EV and later IV tier batteries (technically Energium is used for HV tier batteries, but worse ones than plain Lithium batteries, so they get ignored). Those become very relevant post-Moon, when you also have access to Chromite Ore. So depending on your point in progression, and *further* depending on whether you set up a redstone/glowstone farm for Chrome, or set up Energium/Lapotron bees, or other things, the value of Ruby Juice ranges from "essential" to "actively detrimental". Not just *an* energy discount, HSS-G coils in platline allow you to run recipes at EV with full perfect overclocks. That's a *major* energy discount, and speed boost to boot. Once you upgrade from single block miners to multiblock miners you'll end up switching from ore blocks to getting crushed ores. When you upgrade from multiblock miners to void miners, however, you'll go back to getting ore blocks rather than crushed ores, so keep an ore block filter on the macerator. Not to mention you might choose to mine out BM meteors through a method that yields ore blocks, or end up mining out some ore blocking building/digging somewhere and shoving that into your system. Eventually you get access to Integrated Ore Factories, which make very large portions of this type of ore processing system obsolete. Not to mention by that time the dynamic of ore/resource generation and processing needs will have changed drastically from what it is currently as well, so even in that respect this system would be outdated at the very least. Sulfuric Acid can end up a considerable bottleneck depending on several factors, though once you have a T4 rocket - which is basically just Assembly Line gated - you'll be able to head to Io and start pumping sulfuric acid directly. If you're critically short on sulfuric acid before that point centrifuging netherrack dust isn't the literal worst way to passively produce more, though of course there are other alternatives as well. For the record, Mercury is very easy to produce passively. Any glowstone or redstone farm can centrifuge redstone dust for mercury, you can use Quicksilver bees to produce Purified Cinnabar Ore (basically Mercury ore), you can farm IC2 Shimmerleaf crops to basically farm quicksilver/mercury directly, or you can EEC Mercurial Slimes if you are neck-deep in magic mods and demand the single biggest style point bonus score 🙃. Sodium Persulfate is, if anything, even easier. Literally any source of salt (Salty Root crops, Salty bees) or Sodium to turn into Sodium Hydroxide (very many ore processing recipes, passively with Clay or Cryolite bees) chemically reacted with sulfuric acid, electrolyse, and done. It's a worthwhile addition to ore processing as early as LV, so don't ignore it. Also, with access to T3 rockets and Ross128b you can drill for vast quantities of Distilled Water, which lets you speed up regular ore washing on the cheap. Alternatively you can craft the distilled water yourself, but unless you have a DT or enough passive oxygen/hydrogen to chemically react the two into distilled water that is not going to be worth your time unfortunately.
@@Royal_4096 I actually did test them while I was watching the video, and they can't, at least in the current stable version. That initially convinced me they can't be colored at all...until Ghost corrected me 🙃.
Today I tried looking for other GTNH youtubers. None could satisfy my threefold quality and style needs. Love your content and the time and effort you put into it
He’s so good at what he does that it makes me dread the sight of Greg-related comments on other content creators’ videos. Three’s quality goes above and beyond for a pack like this, why try to squeeze it out of someone who simply isn’t interested?
Three thank you so much for making these videos. I've recently broken up with my girlfriend of 4 years and I have been in a very dark place ever since. These videos have helped me forget about my sorrows even if it were just for mere moments and I am forever grateful to you.
Great Episode Three!! Loved going along the ore processing process, learned so much even though I'm miles away from setting up my own ore processing xD Thanks for sharing your fun with us, it's contagious!!!

These have been some of my favorite videos in the series so far. I've been really looking forward to the moving (and expanding) of power generation and ore processing, and you definitely did not disappoint
I hereby officially request a new series called "Rambling with Three" where Threefold rambles about whatever he feels like for at least 30 mins. Any one second this idea?
@@Threefold. As @bowman4496 said in the comment below mine (at least how it shows up in the notifications) your speaking and explanations are solid. Your mannerism, speech patterns, and accent are part of your brand and you. They are part in parcel with the over all vibe. Epic as always! Thanks for the consistent upload; I know it won’t last as progression slows down a lot, however I’m definitely enjoying the content all the way!
Another great hour+ of Greg. I don’t know if it would work, but maybe use the Thaumcraft lens you used to move the crops to move over the remaining hatch from old processing if you really want to clear everything. Thanks Three :)

I don't know if I will ever try a Gregtech pack but I really enjoyed playing ATM7 while you were uploading that series and I'm currently playing VH3 at the moment. Can't wait to see how this pack turns out!
Great episode. I dont think it matters going over old ground when you are doing it in a slightly different way with the intent to future proof it. It's nice to see you what you can do with mods like AE2. I dont play the mod pack but I watch others creators too and i thought the ME outputs had an issue that was if it couldnt output an item or fluid because it was full it would stack up everything until it could clear the top item or fluid. Which makes it great for benzene as it's only one output. But for ore processing, won't that become an issue. But awesome video, so glad you came back as you're my favourite GTNH creator.
Love you three, and thank you for your content, it has been a absolute blast watching your content again, and it has inspired me and a friend to play GTNH, and we are now as of today in HV, as we just got our Kanthal coils in our EBF.
This is the episode I needed just reached the moon, personal dimension and ae2!! In 195 hours!!!! my first time gregtech and a guide like this is for sure my goal to copy thanks allot tree Lets see it I can manage to setup the basics like u did!
I guess with yiu longer does mean BETTER :). I might be repeating myself but your content flows so easly and thus we're able to follow you even for people like me who don't play GTNH!! Keep it up, get to this damn T7 rocket
The clip about mouse clicks and you laughing.... I just about blew milk all over my monitor listening to that chuckle, hahahahaha great vidz man, so very glad you're back!
Literally just woke up 5 min ago, first thing i did was order sushi, so cant say my first act of today was clicking on this video. But its the second thing i did today. Lets hope my morning brain can comprehend the greg in todays episode haha. (So far its been no problem, love your explanations, for me its easy to follow and understand)
Hey man, I loved this episode! You Explained everything super well and you should definitely be proud of yourself for that. Personally I think that an 4x of the old processing line would be best (i.e. 8 centrifuges) but I am by no means an expert, I just overengineer everything.
@Threefold. I've been curious for a while about something you do with your AE2 cabling: In places where you want to transfer only power, it seems like you're minimizing the number of quartz fiber used, and filling it out with bits of ME cable where you can (like at 32:06). But surely going for pure quartz fiber in such junctions would better communicate intent. Is quartz fiber more expensive in GTNH? Or do you have some other reason?
You can also color the Wireless connectors with the Color thing from AE2 so they don't connect to other ones next to it. Edit: The Advanced Memory card also has a Copy/Paste mode
For the ArchitectureCraft blocks: In my experience, it seems the direction they're placed is based on what part of the block you're looking at when you place them; specifically, for the face of the block you are placing them against, it looks at the closest edge. I.e. it's like slabs, but with top/bottom/left/right. Like you divide the face of each block into quarters, using the diagonals. At least, this is based on my experience in Omnifactory.
It's nice to make some Rainbow Cacti from Thaumic Bases, it drop all dyes, works same as vanilla cactus, just setup a vanilla cactus farm can support all cable you need.
Which episode contains all the fluid storage with passive fluids processing (like oxygen and hydrogen). I've setup a main super tank which contains all the oxygen, for example, and make my oxygen generation running until half is full, but seems like it will waste all the fluids from ME stocking output fluid hatches it all my storage will be full. How I should properly setup it?
Well, next time itll be autocrafting, I imagine. It was either ore processing or that this episode, since I imagine if you had done autocrafting first, getting materials would’ve been slow, instead you dealt with crafting being slow… I wonder whatd be next if not autocrafting? Thaumcraft? Assembly line? More bees? I’m excited to find out!
Quartz fiber I think can take charged certus quartz rods, which is a bit faster Can dye wireless connectors so you don’t need to stagger them The electrolyzer might get stuck with 16 different items that need more of those items to be processed, but different items that aren’t part of those 16 items could be waiting to have a spot to process. Might be better to use regular stocking bus mode and same with the centrifuge doing regular dusts
What's the advantage to making something like PVC sheets into an on demand process, instead of a passive one? It seems like the only problem is the buffer size.
Fewer machines and channels are necessary as we can have machines sharing the solidification of many different kinds of plates. We can also request bigger crafts as AE will just make whatever it needs to for the recipe and we don't need as much storage or Storage Bus devices connected to our network. I still very much believe in having passive chemicals and fluids though. That's the playstyle I prefer, although I've heard of some just doing everything on demand :)
Ah great, got the final exam in one of my subjects tomorrow, but there is a new Three-Video. Guess studying will have to wait, maybe organic chemistry isn't too difficult? Edit: I passed with a 1.0 (guess the american equivalent would be an A?) so watching threefold may actually improve organic chemistry knowledge!

I am so happy to see you back in greg tech i absolutely love your videos. seriously you make amazing things
1h10m of Threefold, let's goooo
Love you three, and thank you for your content, it has been a absolute blast watching your content again, and it has inspired me and a friend to play GTNH, and we are now as of today in HV, as we just got our Kanthal coils in our EBF.
Great birthday present Three! Your videos make my day!
Happy Birthday!🥳
this is one of your best episodes. I've learned a lot!
Absolutely living for this series, keep it up!!
This is the episode I needed just reached the moon, personal dimension and ae2!! In 195 hours!!!! my first time gregtech and a guide like this is for sure my goal to copy thanks allot tree Lets see it I can manage to setup the basics like u did!
You got this!! :D
Amazing video, love that you color the cables!
I guess with yiu longer does mean BETTER :). I might be repeating myself but your content flows so easly and thus we're able to follow you even for people like me who don't play GTNH!! Keep it up, get to this damn T7 rocket
Thanks for your comments, and for being a part of the journey with us! Much appreciated
Im in love with this series dont make it end
Thanks Jose!
The clip about mouse clicks and you laughing.... I just about blew milk all over my monitor listening to that chuckle, hahahahaha
great vidz man, so very glad you're back!
Very much appreciating your amazing content and patience and dedication. Can't wait for that stargate at the end... 😇
I live for your rambling! Makes it fun to watch 😃🤩
I could watch this all day. I don't know how you do it
I just love this series so much
Nothing better than a lazy Sunday morning with three
Literally just woke up 5 min ago, first thing i did was order sushi, so cant say my first act of today was clicking on this video. But its the second thing i did today. Lets hope my morning brain can comprehend the greg in todays episode haha. (So far its been no problem, love your explanations, for me its easy to follow and understand)
damn, now I want some sushi...
Another threefold video! Whoooooo! happy days!
I love the beauty of all your designs!
Damn i like these long episodes. And i swear your content is underated.
im still SOOO happy you've returned
Hey man, I loved this episode! You Explained everything super well and you should definitely be proud of yourself for that. Personally I think that an 4x of the old processing line would be best (i.e. 8 centrifuges) but I am by no means an expert, I just overengineer everything.
I like how you explain things it makes sense even though I haven't played gtnh
Just finished recent episode and new video I blessed by threefold
Woo! New video! And it's huuuugh! Thanks Three ❤
there is always something about the ore processing in modded minecraft... can watch them for ever
I love this series so much!
These episodes are great man, youre the goat
this processing system is amasing
Woah! It sounds like you used wayy more orchestral background music this time. I love that! (especially because I write said style of music 😉)
These videos make my day, thank you!!!❤
He processed them :)
I look forwards to Threefold episodes the way I look forwards to Etho's singleplayer. Very different series but similar levels of quality IMO.
They both say “aha” after finishing something haha
Your montage editing is sooooo good.
Another banger video from threefold.
love you man your vids really help with modded mc much love
great video my friend, im excited for more! these videos where you set up big processing chains are great for my autism lmfao
That cable management is astonishing
awesome video three!
For the ArchitectureCraft blocks:
In my experience, it seems the direction they're placed is based on what part of the block you're looking at when you place them; specifically, for the face of the block you are placing them against, it looks at the closest edge.
I.e. it's like slabs, but with top/bottom/left/right. Like you divide the face of each block into quarters, using the diagonals.
At least, this is based on my experience in Omnifactory.
It's nice to make some Rainbow Cacti from Thaumic Bases, it drop all dyes, works same as
vanilla cactus, just setup a vanilla cactus farm can support all cable you need.
Oooh I forgot about that thing, thanks for the reminder ;)
I appreciate your videos so much
Fantastic video three
Which episode contains all the fluid storage with passive fluids processing (like oxygen and hydrogen). I've setup a main super tank which contains all the oxygen, for example, and make my oxygen generation running until half is full, but seems like it will waste all the fluids from ME stocking output fluid hatches it all my storage will be full. How I should properly setup it?
at 47:10 you put crushed roasted iron ore in for a second time. also crushed aresenic lol
1 hour of Three on GT;NH ?
Now that's something worth watching
I love these longer videos
Imagine Threefolds face once he discoveres the Ore Factory
Noice, some good quality content
Well, next time itll be autocrafting, I imagine. It was either ore processing or that this episode, since I imagine if you had done autocrafting first, getting materials would’ve been slow, instead you dealt with crafting being slow… I wonder whatd be next if not autocrafting? Thaumcraft? Assembly line? More bees? I’m excited to find out!
Quartz fiber I think can take charged certus quartz rods, which is a bit faster
Can dye wireless connectors so you don’t need to stagger them
The electrolyzer might get stuck with 16 different items that need more of those items to be processed, but different items that aren’t part of those 16 items could be waiting to have a spot to process. Might be better to use regular stocking bus mode and same with the centrifuge doing regular dusts
love the 3b1b music
4 days without episodes, Three is cooking
i just cant get enough, i need this in IV form direct into my bloodstream
He he he, the sneaky chicken in the filtering basement :) hope it lives :)
It would be nice to keep it and name it the “The Filtering Chicken”
Man the power usage of all those wireless connections gotta be nuts
Between 100-150EU/t. Not cheap, but I think worthwhile for nice cabling :D
Gregic ore processing my beloved
What's the advantage to making something like PVC sheets into an on demand process, instead of a passive one? It seems like the only problem is the buffer size.
Fewer machines and channels are necessary as we can have machines sharing the solidification of many different kinds of plates. We can also request bigger crafts as AE will just make whatever it needs to for the recipe and we don't need as much storage or Storage Bus devices connected to our network. I still very much believe in having passive chemicals and fluids though. That's the playstyle I prefer, although I've heard of some just doing everything on demand :)
Makes sense! Thanks for the vids
A sexy base is a priority to me, so this is 100% worth it. Also we are all now network engineers lol.
thanks for the video mr three!!!
Wait... If the me busses cache infinitely, does that mean they're infinite size storage for that fluid?
Ah great, got the final exam in one of my subjects tomorrow, but there is a new Three-Video.
Guess studying will have to wait, maybe organic chemistry isn't too difficult?
Edit: I passed with a 1.0 (guess the american equivalent would be an A?) so watching threefold may actually improve organic chemistry knowledge!
When playing such packs, how do you keep Channels stragith. i know you can have a ton of them with P2Ps but stil feels small somehow
You can copy and paste the contents of storage, export and import buses using the memory card from ae2 three!
What track did you use for your ore processing timelapse? I really enjoy hearing it there’s something distinctly threefold about it
The track at around 38 minutes is: Otherside - Lena Raine :)
@@Threefold. thanks!!!
