India is a subcontinent with a long history, a land of legend, fantasy and reality.A country that extends from the Himalayas in the north to the semi-desert terrain and tropics of the south. A place of incredible contrasts and fascinating splendour. Delhi is the political and administrative capital of India and a melting pot of both culture and religion. A constantly expanding metropolis built on the site of twelve former cities and centre of power for almost a thousand years. Jama Masjid, the Friday Mosque, is one of ancient Delhi’s main landmarks that was bequeathed to the city by the mogul king, Shah Jahan and close to the mosque is the bazaar district of Chandni Chowk, a busy commercial area. The white temples of Ranakpur are the sanctuaries of the Jains and are situated in a picturesque valley to the west of the Aravalli Mountains north of Udaipur. At around the same time that Buddhism was introduced to the area, Jainism also arrived, the religion of the country’s great hero, Mahavira. Rajasthan is the Land Of The Maharajas in all its splendour, a living fairytale beneath the desert sky. Agra was once the imposing metropolis of the mogul monarchy and today the city has lost nothing of its mediaeval atmosphere. Calcutta, or Kolkata, as it has been known since 2001, is the capital of West Bengal and also the second largest city in India. A city of contrasts that could not be more striking. Each morning hundreds of people go to the Howrah Bridge to bathe on the banks of the Hooghly River, a tributary of the sacred River Ganges. In 1853 Bombay had its first railroad and the Indian rail network was soon extended. The Victoria Terminus was built, one of the most impressive train stations in the world. Incredible India, a remarkable country that has always fascinated travellers by the amazing diversity of its people, culture and landscapes.

Beautiful. I am from Kerala. I had gone for a 35 days tour in own vehicle to cover entire India, but after 35 days we could not even finish half. In every 100km, there will some change in language, culture, clothing, or food. Since the country has more than 5000 years of history there are many ancient temples, monuments and history associated with anything and everything which is very overwhelming. If you are in a spiritual journey then there will be more to it and you may have an entire life life not sufficient to explore all of India even for an Indian who has basic understanding of her culture
That's why I've started studying travel and tourism. I want to travel the world

This is just biased video as compared to other countries travel guides. they had just focussed on delhi, jaipur ,agra,varanshi. There are no information of beautiful himalayas,(Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Himanchal), kerala, Goa beaches, beautiful dense forest of sundar ban, great mountain dessert of ladakh and cultural heritage of north east india. this video is showing negative image of india.
Dinesh, can you guide me to websites, videos, etc., that portray all of India in a positive, realistic view? I want to visit India out of my love for the cultures, the food, the people, the art, the country, the music, the animals, and I could go on and on! This is my lifelong dream to visit India. My goal is to immerse myself in the different cultures, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make some lifelong friends. Plus, there is a wildlife rehab/sanctuary that I would like to volunteer at for a while. I would love suggestions from people who actually live there. I'm not interested in traveling in a tourist group. Any suggestions you have will be appreciate!

Why these travel videos are only focussed on monuments mostly. All travellers don't enjoy monuments.Some travels enjoy local cuisine, city life like clubbing etc ,culture ,beaches and other recreational things.Also no information on how to reach ,travel plan etc. Why those are not covered. It looks more like a history video than travel video. Very unbalanced
