You depicting the sled hitting the tree reminded me of the Canada Olympic Park bobsled tragedies. They didn't hit a tree but their sleds went off track and caused a crazy accident. Sad story.

Tip: While I appreciate the comment (and humbly reply "ah pshaw!") -- as far as I know you are likely a spam bot. Generic positive comments that lack a mention of the actual content in a video are often flagged by creators as spam. So it is good to mention something specific about a video or a creator that you like so they can know that you are "not a robot."

Might have been earlier than that. I don't recall what semester I did this series. When the pandemic hit I needed some videos to post so I dug up the classifiers (depictive signing) videos from my hard drive and posted them from time to time to keep the channel active.
Hey any tips for signing with a mask on? Cause ik mouthing the words and facial expressions are a big part of sign language. Thank you. Was just curious
When signing with a mask on, Deaf and hard of hearing signers are generally aware of which signs have multiple meanings and will adjust our signing accordingly by expanding, using a different sign, fingerspelling, or making greater use of environmental cues (instead of using mouthing which would be obscured by a mask).
New signers who do not know which signs have multiple meanings will need to muddle through the best they can and compensate by paying close attention (which they should anyway) to cues from their conversation partner or audience as to any confusion or misunderstanding that may have recently taken place and then back up and clarify by making the same comment or asking the same question but using different signs and/or adding more context and checking for understanding.
As far as your comment about mouthing -- I've pasted below for you something I wrote in response to a different person regarding the topic of mouthing but you might find it of interest:

American Sign Language uses facial expressions, head tilts, shoulder raises, and mouth movements in grammatical ways (as non-manual markers). If your mouth is busy mouthing English words it will be unavailable to use for grammar purposes.
It is true that many Deaf do mouth many of the words they sign. The appropriateness of mouthing depends on numerous factors. Some of those factors have to do with whether or not a sign is traditionally done with a specific mouth morpheme (for example: NOT-YET uses a slightly open mouth showing the tongue covering the lower teeth) or whether the sign is a multiple-meaning sign, (for example: single/someone/something/alone/only).
A high level of experience is required to know which signs require non-manual markers (NMMs), which signs have the option of being enhanced by which NMMs, and which signs can be mouthed. Many Hearing, ASL as a second language learners, mouth inappropriately by either overexaggerating their mouth movements, or mouthing English words while doing signs that require specific mouth morphemes.
It is also true that many of us Deaf people are bilingual and have had some degree of oral training in our youth. Some Deaf people tend to switch to a form of signed communication that uses (for the most part) ASL signs in English-like phrasing when communicating with Hearing people. Some Deaf consciously or subconsciously tend to mouth English words much more when signing with a Hearing person than when conversing with another Deaf person.
If an ASL teacher is teaching a college or high school class labeled and promoted as an ASL class, then I would indeed encourage that teacher to "not" encourage their students to mouth English words as they sign. I wouldn't go out of my way to actively discourage mouthing either -- however, if students are to ever become fluent (in later classes and via association with skilled signers), it will be important for them to incorporate ASL non-manual markers into their signing.
Rather I would simply focus on getting the students busy signing and not stress about mouthing or not mouthing either way. If a teacher sees a student screwing up a sign due to mouthing instead of using an appropriate ASL mouth morpheme that would be a good time to review and practice the appropriate mouth morpheme. (Note, I said review -- that assumes the instructor modeled the appropriate mouth morpheme when first introducing the sign.)
I do not believe the majority of students who start studying ASL will ever become fluent in ASL.
For "most" introductory-level ASL classes fluency simply isn't the goal. Rather the goal is to introduce students to ASL in general so they can decide if they want to learn more.
A good companion goal for an intro-level ASL class is to help the students learn how to relate to Deaf people as just another flavor of human being. (Some culture, some greetings, some courtesies, basic interactive niceties, etc.).
When interacting with beginning-level ASL students the majority of Deaf and/or hard-of-hearing signers are generally very aware that they are dealing with a Hearing person who in the beginning stages of effort toward learning a bit of signing. Many of those Deaf / HH people have some level of residual hearing and/or some degree of skill at lip-reading and will code-switch into a form of pidgin signing (or contact signing) to better facilitate the communication.
Hearing observers often assume such signing is ASL when really it is only the "flavor of ASL" that bilingual Deaf use with Hearing folks who are not very good at ASL.
Sure, in a perfect world we Deaf would like all Hearing people to be totally fluent in sign language. But that just isn't feasible in a few weeks (or even months) of sign language classes.
So we do our best to adjust accordingly (to the extent that our time, patience, and energy afford).

Hi, my sister is hard of hearing, and with the pandemic it's making things more difficult to understand, we are trying to practice some asl at stores and restaurants. Are there any videos that mention restaurant terms like menu, check, booth, etc.?

My suggest though is instead of just learning a few targeted signs you might want to focus on building a strong, wide foundation. So the playlist I'd recommend is the ASLU master playlist. See item 2 below.

only 6% of 21million deaf people in india have access to basic literation the rest of us are treated like idiots. the fact that bangalore uses asl and indo-pak sl confuses deafies to no bounds especially newbies who r trying to get educated and also in a few years drop out before high school. thats why i am trying to learn asl and its just confusing now
As a HOH IndSL teacher its some of the charity orgs that use ASL. Schools and NIOS standards align with ISLRTC rules. look it up @islrtc.nic.in.
and yes people look at me like Im a criminal when I sign to my students nobody is that accommodating to us at all.
Is dr bill deaf?
I was born hard-of-hearing and as time goes on I become more and more physically Deaf. I live in the Deaf World. I married a Deaf woman, work in the field of Deaf-Studies, hang out with people who can sign, use close-captioning (or subtitles) when I watch videos, seek out open captioned movies, watch the news in ASL, lived at Gallaudet during an internship (Benson Hall), only attend churches that use sign language, have a daughter who attended the Utah School for the Deaf preschool program, have a text-only (no-voice minutes) phone, and devote my time to developing ASL-related resources for others.
