Teddy Bridgewater is first of all a very good backup QB but we can just ignore that part of your comment. Teddy is insurance in case something does happen, everyone saw what happened to San Fran not that long ago in the NFC title game. He's also already familiar with the offense since he was our backup last year, an excellent locker room presence and proven mentor and football mind not only within the organization but his recent state title coaching is pretty good evidence of that. There is of course also the fact that we're likely losing a lot of our coaches after this season so if they chose to promote from within there could be a spot for him on the sidelines moving forward and even if there isn't with coaching obviously being a passion of his I can't think of a better place for him to hang out than with the Lions staff.
