I was starting to think about building a new keyboard it would be my 4th, but I came across this searching for a 75% case When bought it I thought the sound was too loud for my taste. With some milky yellows the keyboard is just right, the sound the feel Rainy 75 Lite Gateron milky yellows pro v2 PP plate No foam removed No stabs modded Amazing what you can get nowadays for 130$ +/-
ok so I also bought the same rainy75 that you own and I'm in love with the typing sound. I also wanna change the keycaps but i'm afraid it's gonna change the sound. that's why I'm trying to find another set of doubleshot PBT cherry profiled keycaps which are more vivid in color. But all I could find is the black set. Do you think if I change the keycaps to GMK, DCX or ABS...it will create a huge impact to the sound?
@@golamrabbani4499 I’m glad you like it!! I would say in my experience the keycaps did make a difference but I think mine have all been PBT keycaps that I’ve tried although it was an MOA profile and it felt much thicker (the sound got thockier which wasn’t my preference). Have you looked on amazon for keycaps? (Or if you wanna spend some more I love the sound of osume keycaps)
@@alisaschang Thanks for suggesting the osume keycaps.....I searched all over amazon and aliexpress....no doubleshot pbt with white or blue set...🥲 I even thought of replacing all the keys with GMK keys but they are $200+🥲
Ya idk why keycaps are so expensive even osume is like $100 but it seems like anything cheaper you have less choice and I think you end up sacrificing on quality a bit. It’s so unfortunate cause why are caps as expensive as the keyboard???
@@alisaschang ikr...have you tried those metal caps ? I find their typing sounds particularly interesting....I sometimes think that if I have to spend $200+ on keycaps I might as well buy them metal ones...There is this brand called awekeys...I really like their sets...seems really tempting but idk if that would be a wise choice fore my rainy75.
Honestly I didn’t know they made metal ones. I wonder what they sound like with an aluminum keyboard tho maybe it would work?? I think my next upgrade will be getting the osume keycaps or Gekucap (you can get those on amazon)
I’ve been on a shopping spree new to the the hobby kinda first one is a ikki snow form eBay cause when I bought the first keyboard they gb was way over by years but now I just got a new 65 mode and a few months ago an envoy love poly kb
ok i just bought one from amazon. Now after 2 months when making this video. Did you mod it and do you still love or like the keyboard at this point? Thanks!
Just purchased the Rainy 75 after this video, hope to start using it 2026 😁

I love it it’s my primary keyboard! I did mod it but I didn’t like how it sounded and changed it back. So it’s stock now except the keycaps
Let me know if you have more questions!
