Actually, the Lithuanians, Romanians, Hungarians, Slovaks, Finns, Estonians, Germans, and Ukrainians have MONGOLIOD genes of the order of 2% to 6 %.

@alegro179 how can you tell since Sarakatsanoi are only recorded since the 19th century, while the Vlachs are first mentioned as Vlahorinhi in the 8th. Were the Saracaciani Greek, they would have surely been mentioned before, not as soon as they turned Hellenic.

I don't believe it, I have seen Sarakatsanoi face to face, not been able to communicate, but I can't tell them apart from the Vlachs and Northern Vlachs, that is the mountain regions of Pindus, Pirin, Rodopi, Carpathians. You can convince yourself of that and see the big picture. Surely nobody wants to convert back Saracaciani, but for instance Ceangai in Romania do know they were once Hungarian and Gorals in Poland and Slowakia do not question a Vlach connection.
you cant get it that sarakatsani are not vlach ITS TWO DIFFERENT THINGS they dont speak the same language. Though this photo am talking about is somewhere begining of 1900

There should be a possibility for me as a Romanian to speak to a Sarakatsanoi because it is clear to me and to many more that Sarakatsanoi (sarac is poor in Romanian or Vlach) once spoke Vlach (and were Vlach), and only a limited few do so in Albania. Another population in this situation are the Kupaciari (cupaciu is tree in Vlach) of Pindus. They no longer recognise a Vlach origin.

It has always been the other way around, Vlachs, Albanians and some Slavs lost their language to Greek, because it was good to be Greek both before and after 1453. And especially VLach language, there would have been no reason for You to learn Vlach beeing Greek.

All I know is I talked to 7 young Romanians form Albania and they told me they have friends, Sarakatsanoi, - a tribe related to Farsherot Vlachs in Albania, who talk Vlach. As expected, Greece has made model Greeks of yourselves. Soon every Caucasian, Pondis, Magiri , Afrikan, Ghiftos, and all other more recent newcomers will develop their own version of Greek origin.
