The music is a maraichine or branle maraichin. But the name of the melodies are for the first one : T as perdu ta queue mon canard / Si j avais de l argent bonnes gens/tu m biseras pas fariner/ tu m as pris de l argent mon canard 2nd one : jamais je n oublierai la fille../papa ne veut pas payer/ jamais je n ai tant vu/ papa venez chez nous. There are many texts to the same melody The 2nd one
To put a bit of clarity in these messages: The dance brought in France by an english lady (Miss Pledge) was as far as I know the cochinchine (called in denmark toppede hone) The chapelloise was "created" or adapted in the early 70' by andre Dufresne in a workshop in a small village from Berry calles la chapelle ...... hence the name.
At my scottish dance classes we dance Chapelloise too- but with a different step, as a combination of scottish and french I guess. And the Gay Gordons we dance looks like this: watch?v=P53f7a5WeOY
Very clearly demonstrated, lovely playing, and a version I am very happy to follow as it stands. The mixed historical views just add to the enjoyment!
Hi! Someone knows the song's mame?
Une très belle danse 🎶

wait so this is the original dance for belgijka? LOL-

Created in the 70s? But this is the same dance as "Gay Gordons". Mid 19th century historical reenactors like to do this same dance.
I am from Ukraine and we have a similar dance
Hope you are going well, how is this dance called in Ukraine? My friends dances this in Brazil calling it "irish mandala"

I thought the chappelloise was a Danish dance introduced into France by an Englishwoman in the 1930s...
for school.. halp me
Me too
man, this camera work sucks because the dance is purty indeed.
40 secondes d'appel statique sur 1mn 54s... ça ira !
Très bon
On dit une champenoise !
lol
ok
