Good question, well if it is an Store App you can follow my video but chose that instead of Edge browser, if it is an win32 ap or executable you must chose multi app kiosk, but then you have the choice to just add ONE app there, but it be a bit different from my video, same configuration item but different choices
I have a question, that to create a Kiosk windows machine, is it required that the windows device must be configured with a user's UPN and only then the same device can be migrated to Kiosk, OR if its a fresh machine and I want that device directly configure in Kiosk mode like windows autopilot device then what all details I need to have ready on Intune Portal for the device to behave in Kisok mode ready? Kindly assist. thnx
That is a very good question, since I already had a user driven Autopilot with a user with license who already enrolled it. It should work, not tested, but should work if you do it Windows Autopilot Self-Deploying Mode, should work, would need to test first. @@yulaw3289 very good question! You could assign another policy to disable it. I’ll have to look into it and give a better answer later. Probably can do something local but you need to disable policy elsewhere it will re-apply
@@yulaw3289 that should remove the MDM part, maybe some tests will stay but yeah exclude it and it should be able to login with normal account. I usually reset the device and autopilot it back to normal machine but that is not needed
Have a full serie on setting up your own lab and autopilot is an important part of that, one video in that serie is: ruclips.net/video/YBduAaLSjeA/видео.html :)
Rather than bubble bobble, can you directly go to a sharepoint site and sign in with a generic account that's been taken out of MFA. If so, can you demonstrate it as I'm not sure it's possible with intune or my limited knowledge of intune
That is a good user case (better than my retro game LOL) :) hmmm, well if you grant guest access to the page you want to display, but then anyone from the world can reach it also. Nothing I have tried, but you can set conditional access that device must have a specific criteria to reach the SharePoint page, then add that criteria to your Kiosk device, such as a certificate or alike.
I did some research, one fixed it by delete the profile and re-create it, check it out here, could maybe be worth testing? techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/microsoft-intune/kiosk-mode-not-working/3673513
@@itst0000 interesting- I’m planning to do a video about Windows 365 so if time allows I try there also but Kiosk is mostly made for a local device so maybe it is not even a user case? But still interesting question
How to add custom app like third party application .exe file like note pad, calculator, calendar ??

How about security, you can still do crtl-alt-del and sign in as a different user.
Good question, you can block that also, didn't test, but either way, they must know another username and password so it would still be secure
super useful!
Any idea on how to exit kiosh mode on target machine more quickly than cancel policy?

@@IntuneVitaDoctrina so excluding target machine from Intune policy should be good choice to get out of Kiosh mode?

Hi i have question that if my device is Entra hybrid joined is allow for using Kisok?
Good question, that works, not tested myself but there is no restrictions based on EntraID joined or hybrid, as long as enrolled into Intune

I wonder if google chrome be used instead of Edge. I tried but could not select :(
@@rashkaViking you probably can if you use chrome as a windows store app.
not sure this works on windows 365 cloud pc - it autologons as user with w365 license by default
