If they had included working taillights, an opening hood and an interior, this would have been a home run! For my money, I would have to go a different direction as us "scalers" are picky and value conscious. That being said, it looks great and looks like a good performer.
Price wise it's not much cheaper than a custom build from Horizon Hobby. No inner fenders, proline shocks and tires, painted body and visible body clips. Not trying to knock them or anyone who thinks about purchasing one however in my opinion they missed the mark. The body is very nice, I love the older truck bodies! Appreciate the content and video! 👍
Add some silver stripes and a chrome roll bar, and you'd have John Bakers truck from "CHiPs".(a lot of you won't get that). Yeah, it's a lot of money, but... it's not something everyone else will show up with. Add the shocks, wheels/ tires & body up, yeah, it's still a $400 "base camp". That said,...I like it.
For the value it’s not worth it. Body is nice but for $549 you can get the bronco with more features…truck body is cool but as others are saying it’s missed the mark on this guy.
Seeing that I turn 40 this month I was really eyeing this truck but they missed the mark. The proline extras are great but the choice of electronics....
RCDriver video 👍. Horizon Hobby attempt to make a “new” truck 👎. For $600, I’d get a phoenix with a brushed system. The body is nice, but they left so many things “phoned in”. No inner fenders, no interior, no drop bed, no working taillights, body clips, etc.
Got a used one at a swap meet for 300$ practically brand new around Christmas some time ago , besides the body it’s been a great crawler out of the box and I have out crawled some 1000$ builds in certain scenarios all due to the shock and tire setup
I ordered mine on the 11th and it looked like it was going to delivered in December. But I got an email today that it's on it's way. SUNDAY HURRY UP!!!!!!!! Can't wait to get it unboxed. This better motivate me to do my first unboxing video. Can't keep my 63 subscribers waiting. LOL
best number would be 1982/1982 i wish im lucky enough to get it, alr ordered one, pretty worth it in my opinion cuz its basically a bse camp with proline upgrades and if you add all the parts together if you were to upgrade a base camp using the same parts, its still cheaper to buy this k10 proline one, actually add the parts yourself if you dont believe
I understand true scalers would not appreciate this. But I would think with a limited run of 1982 of them, they would have all sold out quickly. I'm shocked to see stores still have these listed for sale.
That's a Really Purdy Trailwalker RC Adventure Truck Greg, But I would not even take it out of the Box 😆👉 Okay maybe Once 😂😜😁 Man if they would have under clipped and hinged that Body then it would have been so much Nicer... I mean a 40th anniversary edition with a Collab between 2 major's and that's the best they come up with and No Taillights... Ugh... Thank's for Nice review and ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing 🙏 SSPH Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend 💯❣️
Lol you’ll be waiting a while. They will never make this body again when they already have a 78 version on their website being sold right now. Hence “limited Edition” the paint color is also never going to be sold in stores and is trademarked and patented. One and done. But haters gonna hate!😄
Absolutely No! $600 for what? The price is Outrageous! And no it's not a collectable that's gonna gain in value. Knock about $200-300 off it and maybe it's worth it.
the mods i prefer to change the wheel to some high mass, second better servo, rip the electronics those are garbage fusion 2 in 1, overgearing front, undergearing rear, some brass front only, better radio, and dual stage foam
Hey Greg great video man ,truck looks sweet !! Any clue if Prolines gonna offer the body seperate? I'm assuming not being a limited edition truck but curious ? Thanks
As much as I love old Stepside square bodies and this being an anniversary limited edition, Axial dropped the ball. Good tires and shocks, basic electronics, super basic radio... It's a Base Camp with a couple minor upgrades for almost 6 bills. First, the re-release of the much hyped Deadbolt. And now, this. Axial, you guys a ruling on your 6th scale stuff but, your 10th scale arena... You're leaving a little to be desired in the ingenuity area. Give us something new, please.
The truck is beautiful but $600 and not even a hard body wow I don’t know if I can reach for this? Why put a old school 85 body on portal axles? I was thinking about buying one of them until I saw the video with the portal axles. It’s really nice, but not $600
🤔 A little over price especially with no " " interior no Inner fenders. And it still has body post we are in 2022 Right. Maybe $299 The Body Does look really good Would look alot better with rear tail lights in my opinion.
Best part of this truck is , body , shocks , tires ! Old radio , single speed , body clips ???? Axial missed the mark on this one , plus is $100 over priced !
@@rcdriver Love it when someone who is told what to say by the RC company's and considers themselves a legitimate reviewer tries to defend himself. So entertaining for me!
Well someone buy it sale me the body. Lol don't need a number on my rigs to commemorate 40 years. Have proline hyraxes. TO HELL WITH BODY CLIPS. Comment on this Traxxas K10 or this Limited edition. Lol definitely wouldn't buy this rig and scratch that body.
This is pretty stupid. Let's release a new body or paint scheme for different models every few months with a limited run and call it limited edition adding $100 or more for a metal coin and no performance or design changes? No.

Very nice truck too nice to have body clips
🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Body clips for the Anniversary Truck? Axial dropped the ⚽️! My brand new Traxxas High Trail doesn’t have clips on it.
😂…. Your videos are always good no matter how bad the product may be. That takes skills. Nice job.
Purple Lego RC
It is nice to see bodies that aren't Jeeps or Toyotas.
It's a gift that we get these videos for free, I have youtube premium so i don't have any ads. Thanks Greg! Beautiful truck.

What a sweet truck nice score man 👍

@@ChiefRickyRC agreed!
@@ChiefRickyRC maybe 399 top but 600 wafj
Lol, it’s cool. But dude come on axial. How about a good deal with a limited edition!
Agreed. It’s got portals too which is a bummer. It should at least come brushless for that price.
Only about a million bucks after selling 1982 at 600$ agree should be 300 for celebration not a cash grab
I'm totally on board with Niels Juhr. I'd only purchase this unit for ruff playing.
Would have been cool if it had a opening hood and engine bay I think 600 is to much even with it being a limited edition Great crawling and video
Its 1400 in nz 🥲
Seeing that I turn 40 this month I was really eyeing this truck but they missed the mark. The proline extras are great but the choice of electronics....

Very nice,be gentle with it ,it’s really cool 😎.
Man looked awesome on the trail 🏅👍🤩🚴be great with a driver and interior
I like the wheels and shocks. Hate the $ base camp $ and body pins and lack of inner fenders
should have got straight axles and maybe some Bf Goodrich A/T tires
#10 nice low number. Good looking truck. Always did like the step sides. Like button energized.
My father had a 1982 C10, so I'm a bit partial to the stepside. I just received my truck today, but it's going to remain in the box.
Nice truck. I dint know if I need it.i feel like Im waiting for something completely different and in a kit form
Awesome footage. Congrats on number 10.

lovely looking truck and great video
Lucky guys living in USA and Canada. Horizon won't ship elsewhere so i can't place a pre-order here in Sweden. Really nice edition!
I'll bet you can do something with Greg to have him ship you one. You could contact him on Instagram.
That’s 1 beautiful truck
cool, looks capable
Luv’z it, what a gorgeous combination…
Why would Pro- Line use body pins when they make the threaded cap ones ?
Great truck
That’s a beautiful car
I understand true scalers would not appreciate this. But I would think with a limited run of 1982 of them, they would have all sold out quickly. I'm shocked to see stores still have these listed for sale.
I just picked one up to build.
Yea the TRX4 Cheyenne is a better deal over this truck.
Great video bro 👍
Cool,one piece body
Badass my friend 👍🏾👍🏾
Hello from southeast alaska how freaking awesome bro
I want to know where the Scx10.3 Builder's Kit or Base Camp Kit is!? Need a VERY base 10.3 kit available!! 🙏
Nice looking truck, but Axial is outside they damn minds charging $600 for that! I'll have the Axial early Bronco and save myself $50
The aluminum wheels tires shocks and custom body is like $200+ alone
I do agree that the early bronco is a much nicer rig. The body is way more detailed
I somehow won one of these in a local community raffle... I've never had a real "shelf queen" until now.
That's a Really Purdy Trailwalker RC Adventure Truck Greg, But I would not even take it out of the Box 😆👉 Okay maybe Once 😂😜😁

Oh yeah Congratulations on the 175k Sub's too 👍😎👍 AOAH
I don't like step side beds so its as big no for me. It is till very nice regardless. Do you save money vs buying the upgrades to a base truck?
Nice video
It's cool an all. But I like the hightrail trx4 better. Body an wheels I'd buy though
I'll get the body later when it's available
Lol you’ll be waiting a while. They will never make this body again when they already have a 78 version on their website being sold right now. Hence “limited Edition” the paint color is also never going to be sold in stores and is trademarked and patented. One and done. But haters gonna hate!😄
Im hoping my hobby guy can get me one!!
Oh that's cool 👍👍🧔👍👍
What short pack did you run???
Don't want to pay $600 for a Basecamp with a few upgrades
$200 over a stock base camp. This setup would cost more to replicate buying the parts separately plus the custom painted body
Absolutely No! $600 for what? The price is Outrageous! And no it's not a collectable that's gonna gain in value. Knock about $200-300 off it and maybe it's worth it.
Beautiful truck! Bit pricey 😢
😐Same here...😑
Body clips? A swing and a miss Axial. I'm loving my SCX6 Trail Honcho however. Home run there.
It is a nice truck, but too many 💰💰💰 to spend right now.
no inner guards , no interior , high price tag , no drop bed , no hidden body posts , nothing about this is desirable
the mods i prefer to change the wheel to some high mass, second better servo, rip the electronics those are garbage fusion 2 in 1, overgearing front, undergearing rear, some brass front only, better radio, and dual stage foam
Portals was the complete wrong way to go with this truck IMO. Should have been a straight axle kit.
Hi 🎉
Yeah that's a huge no thanks for me. I would've rather got the April fool's day trailer park four runner for that kinda moolah
Hey Greg great video man ,truck looks sweet !! Any clue if Prolines gonna offer the body seperate? I'm assuming not being a limited edition truck but curious ? Thanks
I was told currently there isn’t a plan to offer it separately. But that could change.
@@rcdriver excellent Thanks Buddy appreciate your help...
There is not a plan because they are least have one it’s the 78 model on their website. No they will not also do a 72. Hence “limited Edition”

Because that's what sells.

I will not pay for that, l rather to buy the traxxas k10 Cheyenne. Better quality and more functions.
😁

I did better I just picked up a brand new 1/10 Honcho for $259!!!
Vendo, nuevo por estrenar el Axial 1/10 SCX10 III Pro-Line 1982 Chevy K10 4WD del 40 aniversario
Love watching your reviews to see how much you suck up to the RC manufactures that send you free stuff, this is over priced tat and you know it
Love when clueless people post stuff like this. So entertaining for me!
@@rcdriver Love it when someone who is told what to say by the RC company's and considers themselves a legitimate reviewer tries to defend himself. So entertaining for me!
Yeh, it's kinda cool but.....couldn't they have done a better job on the body? That cab looks.......off.
Should have put that body on the early Bronco chassis, body posts and clips yuck, no drop bed, no inner fenders and no interior
Hmmmmm seems legit let me get right on it
What $650 not worth it.
Looks great except for the commiefornia tag…
