I posted an add on craigslist for unwanted books, Had a thrift shop contact me, they get books donated every month. Worked out a deal with them and I buy a pallet of book every month. You just never know, love the videos. Terry
You've done it again! You inspired another in-depth discussion about the process of selling books... before we remembered that we don't actually sell them. Keep it up!
Never thought you were the chatty kind Mel ! haha! Sounds like a great contact. you'll have so many 'guys' soon you wont know what to do! lol ...Have a great weekend! x
It feels good to back in the swing of listing consistently daily as I had dropped the ball on that. It becomes easy to make excuses and skip a day or two (or three lol) of listing.
Woohoo go Mel!!! So proud of you meeting your goals!!!!! You can do this............you are so happy! Keep going, make this a habit!! :) Onward and upward!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
Fifty thousand books!, your gonna need a bigger shed lol ! Good to hear you're growing the business contacts list, looks promising. Congrats on the listing challenge, outstanding performance!
Great video. I'm really enjoying keeping up with your ebay selling journey. We have a tonne of things to sell now that we have moved and realised how much stuff we have that we don't need. We Need help! Lol
Thanks Craig! Yes, He’s quite a well known guy where I live and he has lots of businesses going on so I’m so pleased we got chatting and now he’s got my number. Fingers crossed for a little mini haul in the future!
I've sold Cross Stitch, Craft, Expensive Home, Car, and HIFI Magazines, they are worth picking up. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your "New Guy" lol
That’s interesting as I often see scrapbook magazines and craft and I normally walk past them. I should spend more time researching magazines because they are one of those things I often see for very cheap and people giving away on Facebook for free. Very pleased to make a new contact. Fingers crossed for a haul soon (even more incentive to get listing the death pile)
😳 😳 😳 Mel! Mel! My bookman partner (the guy selling on Biblio) is shocked and startled every time you bang around the books as you are showing them to us, especially beauties like those folios. Any scratch, dent, or stretched spine can reduce the value of your book! Love your vids! We're just older and can't move as fast as you can 🤓 😁
You are on FIRE! I feel so motivated after watching you. I have the next three days off work and I'm going to list items for eBay EVEN IF IT KILLS ME! Eat the FROG! LOL!
i cant leave money sitting on a table if you dont buy it someone else will ,contacts are great mine are the charity shops here in the uk ,i even got a call in lockdown
Great job on making that contact Mel! That $300 guy is me 😂😂, been waiting for an offer... but I’ve been waiting a while. You inspired me to lower my price 😂. Great vid 👌
@@backfromburnout Thanks. I'm like all over the place. But I get things at such a great deal I don't want to miss getting them. Like I get most stuff free.
Ha ha. I do tend to go once a week for a small cherry pick haul but I haven’t been buying much at all. But I do still enjoy the actual thrifting process and miss it when I don’t do it. But I am wry conscious of what I’m buying and anything I buy I photograph and get listed ASAP so it’s not being added to the death pile as such lol But I promise I’m not going regularly, once a week just for a little look and a small haul ❤️
Thank you for your motivation the other day, definitely helped. Question. Picked up a bulk lot but half the books have foxing, do you usually sell them if they are present or do you pass. And what do you recommend ? Thanks
I wach the storidge guy. He throw s away book and salvo s thro out so much book s hear . .I sold a $15 Doller record limted edition red wax and got $475 🤩. Got fear lot. Werth hundred for each record. An only payed $15 to $25. For most them..Sint 98 time 2000 Nd s ..but it's my personal collection an sume hard to find...so I will not sale them .till. I'm in my 80 s 90 s age.
Yes, I used to work in the storage unit. I didn't have any power though so there was only so much I could do. I would photograph, pick and pack orders there but all the computer work was done back at home
I'm guessing he takes the cream for ebay and sells the ones he didn't care to list. Just stick to your guns and don't buy shit you know didn't sell. Best to be at the deceased estates when they open and you can get those awesome books for a song. The family is usually open to someone offering for the lot so they can clear the home to get it sold quickly. Start low and work your way up to your limit you know works profitably.
This guy more sells collectibles rather then the every day books. He’s well known business mad in my state so I don’t think he will be caring for the books I like :)
Estate sale companies are a potential gold mine for book sellers
Yes, I need to find more!
Nice Finds! Getting 50+ listings on a day is a great achievement.
Thank you :)
Go Mel. Go Mell. My wife and I love your videos. We watch all of them. Go girl. Love them
Your rant video did me the world of good. It was the kick up the butt we both needed!
Thank you, I can't wait to share the results. Teh video is coming next week.
God is good, all the time. I'm so happy that you are doing great.
Thank you so very much xx

It looks like that rant has done you a world of good! Congratulations on sticking to it, and even getting the long dead magazines up and listed!
It really has, listing has remained consistent and today I even had my record sales day for the month!
I've sold Analog magazines before - picked up a massive job lot and sold them in year bundles - sold pretty quick too
Oh wow Nic, I hope mine sell fast! It's a bit of a guessing game with the price but I'll see how I go!
Love your bubbly personality & enthusiasm. Your an inspiration : ) Keep it up, Thanks.
Good job! Isn't it funny how those procrastinated jobs often take about no time to deal with 🤪🤦♀️ (fellow procrastinator here!)
You've done it again! You inspired another in-depth discussion about the process of selling books... before we remembered that we don't actually sell them. Keep it up!
Ha ha, love this!! Thank you for watching x
Rants are sometimes good for us! We need to give ourselves a little smack on the head once in awhile to clear the cobwebs and get back to it.
I am excited! Go Mel!
I have stacks of model railroad magazines to list. Thanks for the motivation!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching
I've actually read that pc cast series there is like 12 books in the series, but they have also done a couple of three more after the series ends
It sells fast if you get the whole set. I’m hoping this half set will still move fast!
Great job! Pushing yourself to get better
Nice book pick up. Seems might be a good contact for you. Well done on your listings each day. You are such a hard worker.
Thank you, I feel like I did make a great contact on this day. The right place at the right time!
Go Mel!
Thank you!
Congratulations on your consistency with listing. You are proving your theory is valid. Good example for us little folk. Cheers.
Never thought you were the chatty kind Mel ! haha! Sounds like a great contact. you'll have so many 'guys' soon you wont know what to do! lol ...Have a great weekend! x
Ha ha ha ha ha!! Me chatty? Never!!! Ha ha, bring me all the guys LOL
Lol I do the exact same thing with boxes in my house. I think I've become a pro at navigating mazes
Yes!! And then when you actually deal with them you think “why didn’t I do that ages ago LOL
@@backfromburnout Exactly!! Lol
Great job listing!! Proud of you!
Thank you, it feels so good to be back in the habit!
Thats awesome. I'm trying to stick to my goal. Happy for you.
Well done!
Congrats on listing for over a week straight!!

Hello , do you ever do videos on vintage books ? Love the videos .... Charles
Woow! Way to go Mel. So happy for you. Isn't it great. Thrifting is so much fun. Can be dangerous:)
Fifty thousand books!, your gonna need a bigger shed lol ! Good to hear you're growing the business contacts list, looks promising. Congrats on the listing challenge, outstanding performance!
Ha ha, I won’t be ever buying that many LOL
And back to you because I know your smashing your own personal challenge!!
I love Folio Society books :)
They are great Megan!
A great video to see, good on you.
Thank you!
Great video. I'm really enjoying keeping up with your ebay selling journey. We have a tonne of things to sell now that we have moved and realised how much stuff we have that we don't need. We Need help! Lol
You can do it! Can't wait to see the new house!
Nice score on the books. Sounds like a great contact

These ones did bang a bit as I emptied them while holding the camera, I noticed that myself lol. It was a beautiful set to find for $3!! Bargain!!

Ba ha ha ha, damn it! Keep it higher!! I want the sale LOL
I’ll go the undercut 😜
Go you :) never heard of folio books
Oh they can bring some great money so do look out for them. They are easy to spot as they have the nice slip cases!
How can l go there to. Your place full of books waw! Really , u smiling face is Ur secrets in selling books.
I am in America - what is a folio book? Is it similar to an encyclopedia?
It’s a vintage book and they come in these hard slip cases and they were made by The Folio Society
Question is ebay like RUclips? Where you have to find a niche?
No not at all. You have a general store on eBay selling all different things :)
@@backfromburnout Thanks. I'm like all over the place. But I get things at such a great deal I don't want to miss getting them. Like I get most stuff free.
Mel! What are you doing?!?! Thrifting with a room full of booms to be listed?!?! You’re never going to catch up. 🤣😂
Books books not booms🤣🤣

Have U got any. Lego mag s .or Lego book s ???
I might have one book on all the different figurines
I put them order and in my listing say that I sell separately if required for a premium price
With the Australian Geographic Magazines, how many would you bundle Mel?
10 because of the weight of them. They are quite heavy in bundles of 10.
@@backfromburnout Thanks Mel.
No worries :)
$3. Tournt into $50 bonus my mate fount a book and got lots for it.
Thank you for your motivation the other day, definitely helped. Question. Picked up a bulk lot but half the books have foxing, do you usually sell them if they are present or do you pass. And what do you recommend ? Thanks
I still sell books with foxing. Just choose acceptable in the condition and make sure you show photos :)
LOL, Just as I was typing .
is chris still mentoring you ?
I still chat to Chris and will have another stream soon :)

Are bundled listings on EBay a complete shit show like what I have heard - or is it a lot easier than what it sounds to do?
I sell so many bundles. I would actually like to make my store all bundles if I can.
Hit the like button 👍
Thank you Jeff x I appreciate you
SCORE!
Thank you for watching!
