If I were you I would go shelf by shelf list them and put them back organized. I go tub by tub because I sell all kinds of hard goods I’ve been going through 5 tubs of video game consoles controllers and the actual games so that’s a ton of testing more than 25 consoles alone😳😳😳😳

The first three minutes of this video is literally the story of my life and house. I have filled it with all my ebay stuff and now, to move one thing, I have to move something else. I don't have any true working surfaces right now. You and I have discussed this before, but I do need to get a storage space, remove it all from my home and then create the stations for my computer, shipping, supplies and back fill my stock. It's just that first step that's so hard for me. So satisfying to see the floor space becoming clearer. How tall are you btw? 😍 So happy to see you so happy. 😊
No, a few of them are empty and the others are held for long term storage users. The complex has just built a large building of new storage units and I think everybody is choosing to rent those ones first! I'm very lucky to be able to utilise all the extra space.

If I even leave a trolley parked too long outside one of my units I get the facility manager on my back or a phone call from the security team out of hours (the whole site is monitored 24/7 by CCTV). I've never seen any of the other occupants of the units on my corridor--but I'm pretty sure that if I did stack anything outside they would immediately by queuing to open up their units!

Yes that is correct. They are books I got in large hauls for cheap or for free so I haven't paid much for them, but if I can bundle a couple of similar books up and sell as a pair for around $16 -$20 then they will be worth it my time.
I feel for you. I have a suggestion maybe you could give each shelf a sku number that you can put that in the custom sku on Facebook. It would be so much easier for you to find your items

HI Struggling a little with ur sku ideas and the way ur stacking... i don't get that ur sorting books by author unless ur using the same listing and NOT photographing each book for a new listing or each book have an Sku. I can understand it for NEW undamaged books but not for second hand. Each row should have a number, then u know where the book is, you work on a few rows a day. If gaps appear in your rows u merge the rows to make new rows.... Sku could be ShelfNo/RowNo/StackNo .. 1/1/1 1/2/1 etc

Yes, bring me all the hauls lol! I do want to change SKU systems. It's going to be a big job though to add SKU to all the listed books - especially as they are spread between different eBay stores.
@@backfromburnout Just a suggestion - Leave the currently listed books as they are & keep consolidating them as they sell. As the bays empty out put the new SKU location on the newly listed books. That way if the book has no SKU its in the A-Z section, with SKU its in the location as noted.

Thank you, it makes me very happy doing this along with sharing my story on RUclips. Some of the bundles I do give a number if I have similar types of bundles. I think the letter of author will work for a while longer but if they doubled in numbers it might be different :)

I don't know what your storage system is but was thinking that you could put the books together on the shelf under the you date listed them and put the listing date in your sku. Regardless of genre. They would be much easier to find too.
i find it hard to get motivated or organize myself but i find watching videos like yours kicks me up the bum to do something so thanks for the videos , i just need to list all the cloths i have now lol ,get me a pint in i cant drink here in the uk we in lockdown
Hi there I really enjoy your upload just a thought your death pile room could be listed Monday to Sunday and have a folder of when you got the latest bundles of books in and put the remain on the floor until you clear up the previous weeks book a 2 week rotation so your not to overwhelming yourself with lots of books and you have space to move in the room and sort them out
Yes, thats a good idea and could work. I think I mostly just need to take a month off sourcing lol. Easier said then done ha ha. I like the sourcing :)
I probably should have got the trolley for moving some of the books but the camera was set up in the way for a lot of it. It is good exercise for me though which I need! LOL Thank you for watching!
Hi Mel, it's a great job that your doing but have you thought about consolidating everything now into a small Office/Warehouse that has Power, Natural Light, Ventilation, Windows and maybe even Air Conditioning? Also have you thought about selling on Amazon??
I have but they are soooo expensive where I live. At least in the units I don;t have to pay for any insurances or electricity either. At this stage this is okay for me but if I expand I will have to weigh up extra costs. Sadly we can't sell second hand books on Amazon in Australia yet - but when we can I will be ready!

It works well for me. I try and work in batches so do price comping in batches and then photos in batches which can often be on different days.

You might want to try putting Alphabetical Letter Magnets each shelf front,
since the shelves are Metal, and the letters can be rearranged with ease.
